This may be a restriction on your gtk theme. Could you try changing the theme and see if that helps. If still not working, please let me know which display manager and theme you are using.

My guess is that Stars maybe have changed the window title for final tables. Can you please take a look in the hud-log file. When fpdb attaches a hud, it normally reports something like this:

Hi Folks! I'm a new member to this forum so pls do guide me if I'm posting anything incorrectly.
I am using fpdb v0.30.7. with PostgreSQL 8.4. There seems to be a problem with the Tourney stats Viewer. It works fine if I recreate the tables and reimport the HH and tourney summaries. Then after playing for a while it stops working again. It has happened to me a few times and I don't want to keep recreating the tables and reimporting data just to view the tourney stats. I've had the same problem with SQLite too. The HUD works fine. I've seen someone else had the problem but the solution was not listed. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

0.39.3 is now available. This is pre-release/testing/beta/still in development - it should mostly work, but there will be a few problems.

New for this release: popups can now be sub-divided into sub-menus.

If you want to try the new popups, the easiest way to do this is to quit fpdb, go to %appdata%/fpdb, delete the HUD_config.xml configuration file, restart fpdb and re-configure.

"Preflop action seen" is a new popup feature intended to save time flicking back through the poker site's hand replayer; more information on the info page below.

fpdb should be able to handle either "Game" or "Hand", so that hopefully isn't the problem.

Looks like it may have lost the plot there - maybe after being moved to join the final table? If it happens again, try stopping and restarting autoimport, normally that should clear the issue.
The new code (0.39.x) has some different logic to try to detect table changes - hopefully this won't be happening in the forthcoming releases.

Hey, I am new to poker tracking software and a friend of mine recommended giving this one a try. So I have downloaded the file 'fpdb-0.393.' And have extracted it to a file on my system. But when I go to open the run file which is an 'MS-DOS batch file' it won't start loading or anything, just a blank box. I am using windows xp service pack 2, running system 32.
Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Quickly look at the code - it's possible that a particular tournament is causing the problem - my initial guess is it is somesort of free-roll or other tournement where there was no entry fee.

Normally these sort of tournaments don't cause a problem, but I suspect that for some reason, one is not being processed properly.

If you want to narrow this problem down, could you initialise a new database, and only import definite fee paying tournaments (will need to be selected individually by hand) - then check that the viewer is working correctly.

I'll continue looking at the code meanwhile.

So, I play on Merge (Carbon, specifically) and the client saves HHs to a different folder every day, \history\username\YYYYMMDD, is there a way to automagically configure fpdb to read HH from subfolders? When pointed at \history\username it doesn't do anything

Hi, I am new here and I would like to ask you something. I am using your software and I thing it is a great work, but I have a one small problem. When I use poker stars, everything is OK. If I use 888 poker I can use it for tourneys. In cash games (on 888 poker), it import any hand and I can watch it in replayer, but hud does not show the stats on the table. And that is my question, is it normal?? Or I am doing something wrong? Please.

Hi,
First I would like to thank all those involved in creating this program for their hard work. I find it very useful and not that difficult to set up either. Some sort of a manual would have helped though.
I have a few questions about some options in the program.
In the "Database" menu there are 2 options named "Rebuild HUD cache" and "Rebuild DB indexes". I would like to know if and when should we use these options.
Also in the HUD menu at the table there is an option named "Set max number of seats". I would like to know when should we use this option if ever.

I've been using this program for a few days on 2 sites.
On Party Poker I have no problems at all and I've set up the HUD and stored it easily.
On FTP though there is a problem. I've set up the HUD and saved it. However when I start auto-import and open a table, some of the stat windows are in the right position while others are attached to the wrong players, eg seats 5-9 are correct, the stats from seat 1 are overlapping the stats at seat 9, the stats from seat 2 are in the position where the stats for seat 1 should be, the stats for seat 3 are at seat 2 and so on and seat 4 has no stats at all.
This happens almost every time and the seat where the queue of stats seem to "brake" changes every time. The program "remembers" the correct positions but when assigning stats to seats, at some point assigns 2 stats at a certain seat and the rest of the stats after that seat are placed one seat before the correct one. Also I've moved them manually to the correct positions and saved the HUD again but when I select the option "Redraw statistics windows" they return to their original positions, even though I have re-saved them at the correct places.
I'm playing at NLHE 9-max tables and for FTP there are 2 "layouts" in the config file for 9-max, so I don't know if this has to do something with it. I've set "preferred seat" in all layouts as described in the wiki.
Also another problem is that the hole cards usually don't appear. Even those that do appear they were showing up stacked in the top left corner and I had to manually drag them to the correct places. I don't know if the rest appear somewhere else where I can't see them.
Finally a smaller problem is that the program doesn't seem to be able to save small refinements of the positions of the stats and it keeps putting them in the original positions when it starts. Perhaps positions of the stats follow some sort of a grid where they can be saved, I don't know.
I'm using version 0.30.7 and my OS is Windows 7 x64 Home Premium.
I would appreciate any help about these problems.
