If not, do you have any suggestions? or in general, ie: ifs if there is a way to build/structure the ranges or whatever..

I suppose there's a workaround for this, namely to create the category as a separate file, and import it.
1: Create a backup of your ranges
Your ranges are stored in /config/newdefs3.txt.
First, make a backup of this file.
2: Create a version of your ranges with just the target category
Now delete everything from your ranges, except for the category that you want to copy.
After having done this, close Flopzilla, and make a copy of /config/newdefs3.txt.
3: Restore to your original ranges
Copy the file that you made under 1 back to /config to restore to your original ranges.
4: Import the category
Place the range file from 3 with the category to the same directory with Flopzilla.exe in it.
Most likely this will be C:\Program Files (x86)\FlopzillaPro\FlopzillaPro
Start Flopzilla and go to "Settings->Import predef ranges" in its menu.
Select "Newdefs3.txt" and "Import into subcategory", and click on "IMPORT RANGES".
See the screenshot below.
The category has now been copied.
I will see if we can add a "Copy" option for the next update, but for the moment I can offer this workaround.
