why would you need a bet pot for limit?

and dont they already have buttons to click on in limit for all of the actions you would need to take?

no, it is a good question, and probably the reason why one has never been made.

I play a lot of tables at once and it gets frustrating to constantly have to move your mouse to the action button. I used to play on pokerroom back in the day, and I used to lovetheir hotkey function, and I just realized how nice it would be to have a good hotkey setup like that on stars, which has by far the best mylti-table setup on the net.

Small actions with your mouse cut into your response time and if you can streamline those actions you may be able to capitalize on a little more time and maybe even add another table.

After seeing this AHK though, I feel it would be an easy AHK to setup, unfortunetly I am very computer illiterate when it comes to this stuff, so therefore I ask others

I have added (user definable) hotkeys for (adv. Fold)/Fold, Check, and there is alresy raise in there.

So I only have to point mouse anywhere on table, hit "F" to fold, and move on to the next table. So far these are coded for Stars and Full Tilt.

Absolutely agree - So much faster to just point+fold the trash hands, I find multi-tabling much less stressful now. the little time spent and the concentration to make sure you aim the mouse correctly certainly adds up.

These are only in my testing version for now, but that is soooo nearly ready for general use that it's gonna get posted before the weekend.

I just need to do some more testing/tweaking to make sure it identifies correcty different Stars themes with total accuracy.

I need to stop getting distracted by other coding posibilites, lol (If I can get my current distraction to work properly, many FullTilters will enjoy, I hope)

because the table that needs action takes priority over the other tables when you are on stars, will you still have to point the mouse or will it just automatically assign the hotkey command to the table that is first in line for options?

This is configurable in the BetPot script. Either option you describe is possible, but by default it is set up to operate on the window below the mouse. It can alternatively be set up so that action always goes to the active table, or to the active table if the mouse is over it, to prevent misclicks.

I didn't go through the whole thread but tried using betpot version 1b today and had no luck with it.

I believe it works for most, although there are planty "gotchas" that will break it.

Most of these are fixed in the upcoming version 0.2, which I should be happy with very soon.

For now, this is a list of recommended setting to for best chance of working:

Stars tables should be located on the "Primary Display", or to the right of it. Negative co-ords for tables causes an error. this should be fixed soon, THANKS NORTONESQUE

WindowsXP should be set to "Classic Theme", small fonts.

Stars should be set to "HyperSimple" theme.

If you have trouble, enable debug=1 right at the top of the script, save and reload. This should give a ballon-help, that gives some idea what it is having trouble with.

Also you could PM me a screenshot of your table (with action buttons visible). I can then add this to my collection and make sure the script correctly recognizes all values in the screenshot prior to release of the next update.

Can I turn on autobet?

Also, can I possibly just turn it on only for preflop action if I want?

I've been using this script for awhile without problems, but today whenever I right-click a Stars table (bet pot button), nothing happens. All the other assigned buttons (I have several) still work fine. Any idea on why this one stopped working?

Another thing that's been going on since version 0.1b is that now all bet amounts postflop include decimal points. In the past, a 2/3 pot bet would round to $50, now it'll be something like $50.29.

aargh, I have been trying to get this script working for a few hrs now to no avail. I am using:
Hyper simple theme
Version 0.1b
Windows classic 32 bit

I tried changing the debug from 0 to 1 and it makes no difference. The only thing I can think of is the Starspic folder that you included in the download. What am I supposed to do with those images? I looked everywhere in the PS folder and could not find a place for them?

It should produce some status information in the system tray - does it not? If so, what does it say?

This should be in the same place as the script is running from. If you extract the zip to a folder, run the script from there, all should be in the correct place.

Probably there is something gone awry in the commands for these hotkeys, such that one doesn't work at all, and the other has the rounding parameter set different than you would like. Default rounding is 2dp IIRC.

If you would post the problem hotkeys here, I'll see if I can spot anything.

you sure can, if you have used it enough without autobet that are confident it will get the amount right

Autobet is controlled by the fifth parameter in the hotkey defenition, e.g.

the red number is autobet on/off - zero for off, 1 for on. Change this and it will autobet.

You could do this by editing the main Pot function of the code, but it is probably easier to just create a duplicate hotkey, but with a CTRL modifier or something convenient to you, and a different autobet flag. This way you could have MButton=3/4 pot, CTRL+MButton=2/4 pot + autobet).

Woohoo it works now!!!. I wasn't running the script from the folder that I downloaded. Now I am and it works perfectly! Once again, thanks dave! ETA on fixing the PP betpot? I seriously think you should start a business for this stuff similiar to Pokerace and Pokertracker. This software is just as valuable and requires the same amount of support so why not make some $ off of it. I am crippled without this stuff.

The pot button seems to have resolved itself. In my most recent session, the pot button worked fine. However, I still have issues with making bets with decimal points. Also, in this most recent session, my 2/3 and ~3/4 pot buttons were acting buggy. Occasionally, they would bet near pot or overbet the pot. Other times, they would work fine. I'll post my hotkeys below. I have a MX1000 and have assigned the different bet amounts certain F functions and then used uberoptions to assign those functions to the corresponding mouse keys while PokerStars is running. These are my Hot key assignments:

Sry if this has already been answered, but any idea on when the FTP betpot script will be up?

How do you round your bets up or down? I play NL 200 and it looks weird when I am constantly betting amounts like 31.85$ etc. I read on wiki about the Round_bet entry and have tried playing around with it but its not doing anything. I only want to bet in dollar amounts.

I also noticed today that the PS script stops working after about an hour or two of play. I have to restart the script.

two quick questions. The first is not really related to the thread, but does fit to the concept.

1) on stars is it possible to have hyper simple with no images/avatars?

2) Where abouts do I mod the script to enable autobet?
