I'm currently running v.083b of StarsCaption on an older version of PokerStars; will an updated version of caption still function with a legacy stars client, and is it possible to downgrade if that isn't the case? Thanks in advance!

Yes it will work.
And yes, you can downgrade it back if it will not if you have and installer of this verison. If you haven't it, then just make a copy of StarsCaption.exe and starsHook.dll manually.

I'm using the "Auto open Zoom tables" option + "Sitout mode" + "Sit out next hand if stack is more than x bb".

Shouldn't the "Sitout mode" when checked stop opening and closing tables?

What happens a lot is, i want to stop playing and click the "Sitout mode" on the HUD but if it just happens that i reach x amount of blind in one table it still closes down the table, still opens a new one and makes me play another hand at that specific table. And for some odd reason i win a stack in that one hand, it will do the same again. Or if i just close all my tables after "Sitout mode" is enabled, i will open all of them again.

Not sure if this makes any sense. lol

What i'm saying is, it would be nice if the "Sitout mode" when checked would stop the "Auto open Zoom tables" (if previously checked too) to open more tables. When unchecking "Sitout mode" again, resume play (as it does) AND continue with opening tables if that option was previously checked.

I know i can, and that's what i do now, untick the "Auto open Zoom tables" and then the "Sitout mode" to stop playing. Seems disnecessary, i think. Maybe there's another angle here that i'm not seeing and just thinking of myself/how i play and use the software.


BTW, i have the "Custom bet box" enabled with "Numeric input activates the ...." and 99% of the time the first number doesn't get registered. I want to type 150% i get 50, i want 100 i get 00, and so on. The first number seems to skip almost always.

LikeAA, thanks so much, it is working. I set the counter to 13 hands and it works very well. I doubled up after 4 hands and I set the closing command to >139 BB and it didn't closed after 5th hand. Your software was waiting until 13 hands have been finished and closed the table after.

Is the sng registrator still working for starscaption after it seems stars has changed lot of the sng formats?


Do you need to update tourney types and add each each sng you want to autoreg everytime you have a new session? Because when I tried to autoreg sngs, it would autoreg. But say I unreg each of them manually. Then click on active... it just scans from top to bottom but it doesn't autoregister anymore?

AFAIK it working.
Try to update types for every tournament you have in a list and check other parameters.
Let me know if you will have any problems with it.

The issue seems to be it would register. But once you untick active and click active again... it doesn't autoregister anymore. And when you delete all those sngs and update tourney and scan the sng lobby and readd them again... sometimes it doesn't autoreg.

Okay so I was testing how many tables I could play on 888 and having hem3 run without any lagging or crashing etc. I notice once I have 8 tables of 888 and not any other sites running, it would lag and freeze... then you see message of not responding at the 888 tables and then it would crash and client closes.


I then reopen 888 but when I do this, the mtt lobbies for each mtt im registered in also seem to load and thus lag the computer even more and eventually freezes and crashes.


I assume it shows up because I had those tags below because i want to see what is the current prize and next prize etc?

When my 888 tables reopen... the lobbies for all these tournaments reappear... so imagine having 8 mtt and each one of the lobbies for each mtt seem to reappear slowly on the windows taskbar but it keeps on lagging and you shows not responding and eventually freezes and crashes etc. So this happened a few times. Then i stopped hem3. But I also did not open 888caption.


Now when I open 888 again, i had only 5 tables. There was no lagging but I did not hae hem3/888caption on. I then only opened 888caption so the lobbies for each of those mtt reappear slowly and didn't freeze or crash as the reason most likely is because 5 tables is fine... but also because i didn't have hem3 turned on.

Now im thinking a possible reason im having these crashes on 888 after trying to log back in besides their software and also hem3... is because each time i reopen 888 after it crashes... when my tables reopen... the lobby for each one of them shows up as well. So imagine 8 tables reopening but also 8 lobbies for each one reappearing is going to cause the client to crash. How do i temporary disable the lobbies for each of the mtt im currently playing in to pop up when im ready to reopen the 888 client after closing it? I had thought you just click the checkmark on the

But when I did the checkmark visible, it didn't work. I do like these tags since i want to see the current/next payout... but is this a reason that im having these lagging and crashing issues because this means each time i reopen the 888 client after it crashes, then the mtt lobby for each mtt will also load? Because it seems like if i want to have these tags... and my software keeps crashing... basically each time 888 crashes... i need to first stop hem3. Then close 888caption. Then log in 888? Because when i do this, then the 888 tables seem to open up without an issue for 5 tables. But the moment i open 888caption, well now the lobbies for each of those mtt show up etc. Sorry for the very long post on this. But trying to put every detail possible on this.

regarding spins registrator:

would that may be possible if you open 2 instances of starscaption:

first version: normal queue, sees all tables
second version: only opens the other tables - only sees it's own tables


first sees: 4+2 tables - so keeps it at 6 max
second: sees 2 -> keep it that way, if it drops it adds another one (but that way will never open another one, unless one is finished)

Turn this option on again if you want to reopen lobbies / TL tags to work.

If I am not involved in the pot 2 sec before time is out I see that caption changes its color but sits out me...

This is happening for me too but it might be on Stars hand.

Even manually pressing the time bank button, with no chips invested, my hand is being folded rather than switching to time bank.

Pretty annoying.

The autoregister sng doesn't seem to work on stars or if it does, something is not correct as it would either only register 2 sngs but not the other one. Or it works but once you uncheck active and click active again, it would scan but does no autoregister.


Example I went to autoreg the 11/3.30 bounty builder on demand. And also a $5 18-180 man. I want to have it autoreg 3 of each.


So I go to sng tab and make these 3 sng as favorites. Thus there is a star in all of these. So now I go to favorites tab and you see these 3 tournament/sng in the lobby.


I click on update tourney types. Now the stars client goes real big where it takes up the full screen for like a second before it goes back to the original size. Then I click add tournament and I add each one. It looks like this

I did change it from 0 to 500 but still it doesn't autoreg. Thing is I would like sometimes to be only register it if there is no late... but sometimes late reg though. But majority of the time I don't mind late regging.
