They require a Windows Aero theme. Seems it disabled in your Windows settings, or you have Windows version without Aero support (Windows 7 Home Basic, for example).

If I want to use 888 and PP caption, do I pay twice or is it one payment a year?

Had 888caption work for like two seconds, then my anti-virus (Avast) blocked it for being infected with viruses

I then added an exception for it but couldn't get it to open. I deleted all files from my computer and tried to download it again but I can't get past this point while installing now:

These are different programs and you will need two separate licenses.

There are no any viruses there, you can upload it to virustotal.com and check it.
Some antiviruses consider the program suspicious - code is not signed, it uses hooks and other suspicious things, but it is required for its functioning, therefore it is a false alarm.

I'm not very familiar with Avast, but most antiviruses have two different exclusion settings, for folders and for processes. Try to add this folder (c:\888Caption2) to exclusions and 888Caption.exe to trusted programs (and maybe 888Caption installer too).

Yeah I obv didn't mean that it would actually be virus-infected, just that the anti-virus seems to think so.



These are my options with Avast. As of right now, I have no trace of 888caption on my computer, I have deleted everything.

Whatever urls I put in the url section (your website, the address where the installer is located, etc), doesn't help

If I put the future file location (c:\888Caption2) in the file path it doesn't help because it can't be a folder, a specific file. I can't find a folder option anywhere.

I also can't make it point into the installation program itself, because for some reason wherever on my computer I save the installer Avast doesn't recognize it as a file

If I start the installation up until the point it fails, it creates something under c:\888Caption2, but if I make the Avast exception point there it still doesn't work

Also even if I turn off my entire anti-virus program I still get the same problem. I basically can't install the program regardless of what I do, and I have tried several different versions of 888caption2.

The first time I installed it I had no problems, the program opened, I then opened 888 with the intention of trying it out for a second playing nl2 (I fully intend to buy it, but I just wanted to see what it looks like). I then got the Avast virus threat detected warning, this only seemed to launch when I fired off a table and not when I opened the program. Ever since then nothing helps

Hey again, I'm still experiencing the invisible table bug (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=1585) and it's probably costing me 2bb/100 at this point... it happens really frequently. (table reappears invisible, forcing me to pay a big blind, i have to quit the table, and repost another big blind again...)

Try to enable this option: Options / Show invisible tables
I'm not sure that it will help, but I hope so.

If this does not help, then try increase the value of this option: Options / Test & deprecated options / Init table delay (set it to 1000, for example).

If you use Placemint of some another program for placing tables, then try to disable it (for test).

Let me know if something of these help.

Chuck Bass, I have not tested it yet, but it seems there are a lot of different settings in Avast:
- exclusions from the File System Shield - and you can add a folder there, not only exe.
- exclusions in the Behavior Shield.
- exclusions from manual scans.

Try to use this manual, maybe it helps.

Hey again, so I did have the invisible table option ticked before posting my previous message.
I've set Init Table delay to 1000 and I still am having these invisible table issues (do I have to tick Test1 or Test2 boxes or something?)

So yeah, the problem persists for me, I'd thought I'd let you know.

PS: I don't use other software except PT4 that interact with Party, so no Placemint

Ok, I'll try to do a test option to get more info about that invisible tables. I know a few users face this, but this does not happen to me, so I can not explore it myself.
I will make the function of writing information about the tables into a log file and there you have instructions on what to do.

CPU is Intel Xeon CPU E3-1231 v3 3.4 GHz
MB is asus H97-pro
OS is win 7 64 bit
ram is 16G
Disk is SSD

I am also using PartyCaption , and PScaption , all work well.

*Before I reinstall my OS , 888caption work well too . (so I don't think it's hardware's problem)

PowerToad, try to add 888Caption folder to antivirus exclusion list, and 888Caption process to trusted programs. Some antiviruses can heavily load the processor while monitoring the program activity.
Also you can do this to 888poker client too.

Also some problems can be if you have different settings of 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings' for 888poker and 888Caption here:

Try to change it (especially if you have a 4k display).

I am experiencing some problems on party with the activation of the timebank. I have "activate at the end of main time" clicked. But it sometimes doesn't activate automatically. It looks like it only works when i have my mouse at the table requiring action. Any ideas what this could be?

Hi, i just made a purchase of Party and 888 Captions via Paypal, but forgot to add ID's in comments. What should i do?

Hi there. I paid for 1 month for partycaption to extend it and you activated it.

When i go and click on sng registrator, then click on the active button, it does not auto register to any sngs at all.

Is there a reason why this is happening? When i used partycaption in the trial edition, it worked without any issue.

When i right click on partypoker and partycaption, they both show that they are checked run as administrator. So when i open partypoker and partycaption, i just left click it to open the program.


I have the sng types shown on the table types and checked the sngs i want to autoregister.


I clicked active and no sngs get registered.

Try to enable these option: Options / Logging / Betscript log.
Restart PartyCaption and try to start registrator again. Make sure that there are tournaments in the lobby that you need.
If registrator still does not work, then export the settings (Options / Save settings backup), close PartyCaption and send me PCaption.log file from PartyCaption folder and the settings file.

Hi, first of all this is great software for the price compared to the other similar things on the market. Just a couple of questions, how to get tables to just pop up when action is required with table manager? At the moment I have to mouse over the tables in the grid or use the cycle tables hotkey.

Also, how do I get rid of "are you sure you want to leave this table?" atfer I finish a sng, it's really annoying and it pops up in front of the tables I'm playing. Thanks.
