Does the bankroll management works if i log onto another computer that doesnt have a TB program?
Hey Schizoid,

I am considering trying to implement different "waves" of closing tables. The first wave would not deal with the "You are in a hand are you sure you want to close all tables" and thus allows you to continue on tables with active hands. The second wave would deal with all prompts as it currently does. This is a lot trickier to change than it sounds though, and involves some additional logic to be added.

However the easiest solution is for you to simply make sure to set your Delay Timer to 1 minute over what you believe to be the worst case length for a single hand. Now that the Delay Timer stays on top of all windows, you will definitely know exactly how much time you have left.

Tilt Breaker currently does not sync up all the computers with your license code, but we intend on adding that. BUT you can install TB on all the computers you own, therefore you can just set the exact same BRM rules on both computers OR you can just set ALL Game types to Block on the second computer so you can't play on it at all.

Thanks for the post! It made me realize that users can use the BRM as a way to prevent themselves from using a secondary computer to bypass a lockdown.

thanks SK for the prompt reply. Maybe when i was playing, i was too caught up to notice the Timer window. It may also be probably hidden behind some active tables. hmm i wouldnt know for sure actually.

The new Delay Timer will even stay on top of active tables as well. I guess you were not in the new build at that time or it had not been released yet. Seeing as you have the Bankroll Manager now, you definitely have the new Delay Timer as well.

Yea, we don't support Mac, so that does create a loophole for you

Best of luck Schizoid,

Just started taking a look at Tilt Breaker. It looks interesting. I play mostly Sit N go tournaments though so it seems a little less useful for a tournament player - I'd like to be able to use the Bankroll Manager feature on tournaments, any plans for this in the future?

Hey Baz,

Yea, the only feature that works for tournaments right now is the Rage Quit button. I definitely would like to add tournament support to Auto Break and the Bankroll Manager in the future. When that is, is just a matter of demand. Currently on the www.tiltbreaker.uservoice.com forum, Tournament support has 0 votes.

Hey SK,
Well I guess I better join the tiltbreaker forum then . One point and I think it's a very valid one is one of the reasons why it might have zero votes is the very fact that tiltbreaker has been designed primarily with cash game players in mind so I guess the vast majority of your current users haven't got so much interest in tournament related features, but were you to implement this your product might appeal to a whole new group of players.

Hi SK,

1 more question. If you put your stop loss in terms of time e.g : an hour, The delay timer will pop up when its nearing an hour. However if our stop loss is in terms of losses, Will there be an indication of when the program will shut down? I think i was using the program without the latest patch and remember the program shutting down when my stop loss was hit while i was still in a number of hands on other tables.

Baz,

Hmmm tournament support seems to suddenly have some votes, lol. Yeah this is a fair point that I have definitely taken into consideration. I will add tournament support, because it will theoretically double my market; I just have to prioritize at the moment.

Schizoid,

The Delay Timer will come up once you hit ANY Stop Loss value. Your incident must have happened right before I released the last build. Hopefully you will be good to go now. Remember to increase your Delay Timer please!

...and you can ask me however many question you like, I like talking to you guys and getting feedback; it's a huge help.

Hi S4lesman,

iPoker is the #1 requested feature so yes, we will start on iPoker soon. Here is the list of things I have already promised before we start in iPoker:
  1. Add some additional variables to the Bankroll Manager
  2. Add Sit Out Next Big Blind and Alarm Only options to Auto-Break
  3. Add additional parsing variables so Auto Break supports EVERY SINGLE Game Type
  4. Adopt the Bankroll Manager rule creating configuration to Auto Break which will allow for more creativity and flexibility for your Stop Loss rules; such as setting different Stop Loss $ values for session start and session peak
  5. Add two brand new features to help out with your mental game

It seems like a lot, but we've already been working on some of that. Plus I am trying to make some things happen that will accelerate development.

It will be worth the wait!

Hey Ronin,

Is your session length correct in the Task bar icon session information?

I had set Stop Time Played at an hour and a half during which the task bar icon tracked the minutes. Once it went past 90 minutes it started tracking as a new session and the counter started at 0min again.

After another 10 minutes, I just ended the session myself and closed all tables.

Oh and i just tried starting a new session/new tables and the icon is tracking that.

Ronin,

Hmmm, one other person has reported this bug as well, and it is actually the only outstanding bug we have. Can you send your log file to support@tiltbreaker.com?

To find your log, you must first unhide hidden folders. To show hidden folders, please go to your control panel and search "show hidden folders". After that go to My Computer > C Drive > Program Data (not files) > Tilt Breaker, and send me the log file.

In the mean time you can always use Stop Hands Played!

Thanks Ronin, and sorry for the inconvenience,

I'll be happy to send you the log.

As for using Hands Played instead, unfortunately the entire Auto-Break tab is faded out and will not let me access any options. Same goes for the Hand Histories Tab.

Ronin,

The grayed out part is normal. That is to keep you from tampering with your settings while you are in a session. Since TB is whiffing on your session time, it still thinks you are in a session. You will have full access again after 1 of 2 things happens:
  1. You hit one of your Stop Loss values
  2. Your Session Discriminator time elapses

The Session Discriminator is the mechanism we use to refresh your stats back to 0 when you don't hit an Auto Break value, since you won't always hit a stop loss every session. The Session Discriminator is basically looking to see if x amount of time has passed between two consecutive Hand Historys, with x being the time you have in the Session Discriminator input. So if you have it set to 1 hr, your stats will refresh after 1 hr has passed from your last hand. If you play a hand 59 minutes after your last hand you would have to wait another hour.

Thanks for sending the log,
S!K

I did as you instructed but see no Program Data folder? There is a Tilt Breaker folder in Program Files

My system is xp

EDIT***********

It worked this time. Don't know what was different but the warning timer came on and it shut the tables as instructed.

Thank you for being so prompt with response to my questions .

Just had my first session after downloading the trial. Sorry if this has been asked but, when I have block cashier checked, when will the cashier become available? I have ended my session and even closed and reopened Stars but it still wont pop up the window.

Also when you hover over the button in the traybar, it shows how much I am up/down in big bets labeled as BB. But in the stop loss part it says BB is big blinds. When entering what I want my stop loss to be do I put in the number of big bets or big blinds? This is limit holdem obv.

Software seems pretty nice so far.

Hey Rob,

Your cashier will be available again once your session discriminator (see Auto Break tab) time elapses from your last hand played. If you play a hand before the session discriminator passes, the session discriminator will reset and you will have to wait the full length again; plus if you continued to play TB would pick up from where you left off in your last session's stats.

The session discriminator is basically the mechanism we use to determine when to start a fresh session from 0 for times when you did not hit a stop loss value. If you do hit a stop loss value, you will be able to see your cashier as soon as the delay timer comes up.

The "BB" is meant to be big blinds, I will change the BB to bb in an upcoming build.

Glad you like TB so far!

Well I just bought the program and got it installed and WHAT I THOUGHT was set up correctly.

But I am having a problem with the Auto break feature! I set up a test to try it out and here was what i did: I set it up to auto break on stop loss of $10 for 10 minutes. But it didnt work.

I play 6 max super turbos and would like this program to time me out after losing say $50 worth of buying for around 30 minutes, which should help me focus a bit more on taking a break to review hands in SNG Wiz and such.

So I tried to run a test on it and it didnt work. This is the only game I play, and so if this program will not function like I thought it would then I am going to be pretty unhappy.

I thought this worked for SNG's as well as cash games? I am also getting no session info display in the system notification area, and the program is not blocking the cashier areas either.

So.......WTF am I missing here? I have the program set to read my HH files in the FTP folder, but HEM is set to archive them after 45 minutes which moves them out of the folder into the archive. Would this be causing my problem?

I really want to get this working ASAP, so please help!!!!

Hey Surf,

Unfortunately Tilt Breaker does not track tournaments yet, it strictly tracks cash games. Since TB does not track tournaments, your cashier is not being blocked because Tilt Breaker does not realize that you are in a session.

Please email sales@tiltbreaker.com with your payment information and we will work out a refund..
