Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

Hey S!K,

Thank you for the informed response. Your explanation appears very possible and makes sense. I will make sure to increase my timer to 3minutes. Please let me know about the second possible bug.

Furthermore to your email, is it possible for TB and the poker rooms to have some kind of agreement where the lockout status is linked to the poker client, thus if you are locked out of tilt break, it is sychronized with the poker room which automatically blocks you from logging in as if you requested to block your account? I know this seems a bit far fetched and I doubt the poker rooms would go for this as they would probably not be attracted to such a system where they will lose a lot of revenue for when people go on tilt, but if they got some kind of incentive in return (maybe shared rake, or requiring users of TB to play a certain number of hands each month, etc) may some time in the future this will be possible. I know this may never happen, but I thought I would just throw it out there.

Cheers,

Nadim

Nadim,

I believe you will get the exact same result you outlined above simply by implementing the very first method we discussed. That method being that your lockdown time would be sent to our server in conjunction with your license code (to identify you), and thus would be enforced on any computer with a copy of TB registered to you.

Your idea would work of course, but I don't believe the Poker clients would go out of their way to accommodate the request.

Oh, an SONH being checked in tournaments on AP/UB was a bug. We resolved that and it will be in the upcoming build.

I was referring to rascalz753's idea of paying additional rake / being required to play a set number of hands in order that TB syncs with the poker site's own lockout.

now that you mention it like that Stu, it makes sense, plus it kind of defeats the purpose of having access to a good Tilt Control Software, when you have to actually play and risk chipsto use the software.

cheers,

Hi xman,

Sorry to hear TB is not working properly for you. TB is working properly for the majority, so your error is quite rare. Can you please email your log file to support@tiltbreaker.com, so we can see what is going on. To find your log, go to your control panel and "show hidden folders" then go to my computer > C Drive > program data (not files) >tilt breaker, and your log will be in there.

Thanks,
S!K

Hide Cashier feature is good but I can still see results in HEM. Is there any way to prevent me from peeking at results in HEM and HEM Table Manager? Would be useful to me to have a time setting for hide cashier also.

Shamrocker,

I will look into blocking the HEM stats display. Could you elaborate on the timer for the cashier blocker. Right now, TB should be blocking the cashier for the length of your session plus the amount of time set for your session discriminator. if you want to be able to see your cashier sooner, you could just lower your session discriminator.

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

New build release today, however it was just to cleanup some minor bugs discovered by some users:
  • removed some repetitive log messages which should help a bit with file size, and added some new ones to aid diagnosing user logs
  • fix saving BB info in hand history during a session
  • AP/UB check for "tourney" as well as "tournament" for table type detection
  • added/improved SONH filtering to ignore tournament tables for all clients
  • fix accidentally closing Stars/FTP windows which were already open during cash delay

Should have another build within 10 days with some of the key features you've been waiting for; e.g. "Sit Out Next Big Blind" and "Alarm Only" options for each Auto Break value, plus the Bankroll Manager feature. If your trial expired, but you want to try out these new features after the release, shoot an email to customerservice@tiltbreaker.com to get your trial extended.

I keep getting good feature suggestions in emails, for example I just got one that suggested we add an option to limit the max amount of tables you can open during a session. I will probably add a page to the website that has our to-do list. We have some serious features planned; one of which would be a collaboration with an up-and-comer in the poker industry. I can't give more info than that at the moment, but there is some exciting stuff happening behind the scenes of Tilt Breaker.

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

The auto update dosent work for me.

It didnt last time either, so I downloaded a new copy each time.

What happens is the auto update box pops up when the poker client starts (thats when TB starts).

It downloads a few % and the box then dissappears. Nothing then seems to happen.

When the poker client is restarted the box pops up again and the process repeats.

Stu,

You might be seeing a residual effect from being a beta tester. Can you shoot me your log please. I might have to send you something to give you a "fresh" install.

Thanks,

Nara,

Thanks for the bug report, yea he should not have been able to do that. Please have him send me his log file. To do this please "show hidden folders" from the control panel; then go My computer> C Drive > program data (not files) > Tilt Breaker, and send me the log file. If it is too big (we fixed the huge log issue in the build released last night) then please upload it using a site like mediafire.com and send me the link.

If I don't get that, I can't help, so please have him send it!

Thanks,
S!K

We figured out how he did this now, and I believe we have a solution. This probably won't be in the next build though, more likely to be in the one after that.

Sorry if it's already been brought up but..

Does the auto-break lockdown times also close down the tables? If so it would be great to have an option where it just sits you out (would like to have a 5 minute break every 60 minutes but I play 4 hour sessions)

Enso,

We have an alarm only function coming that will not close down the tables, rather it would just alert you that you hit an Auto Break value. It can certainly be adapted to also trigger SONH as well. However, I was under the impression that if you miss a certain amount of orbits you will get booted from your table. Don't you think you would get booted within 5 minutes?

Thanks for the quick reply, the alarm function will be enough for me. Stars kicks you off for missing 3 Bigblinds, which means you rarely get kicked off after 5 minutes, and can stay on tables for up to 15 if the game is slow enough.

Great software tried it and it saved me a few BI so I bought it, loving the stop loss feature.

Perfect, look for that feature to be released this month.

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

Great program so far and am gonna buy it soon. Just a suggestion, I think a tiltblocker program would be great. basically its to block out the amount of money you've sat with. THis is only applicable to LHE since winning may cause you to want to quit early and losing money may probably lead to you being looser than usual. Both is bad. So by blocking out your cash amount, it allows you to play at ur best regardless of how much u've won or lost. Thanks

Hi Schizoid,

Thanks for your (potential) purchase, I'm glad you are happy with TB. Incorporating a feature similar to the tiltblocker program has crossed my mind as well. Maybe I'll shoot them an email to see if we can work something out.

Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated!

I have a small feature I've been kicking around, and I'd like to get some opinions on it. I want to make a feature that would attach sticky notes to the sides of the tables, I'd call it "Gameplan Notes". Ideally you would type up your gameplan for a session (such as reminders to incorporate something new into your game, or mantras to not tilt, etc) and they would be attached onto your tables. Seeing them come up with your tables during play would help you to remember to do those things. I write notes for my sessions all the time, but I always get too focused to remember to read them.

Thoughts? It seems like this could build out into a useful feature

Iv noticed a glitch on this. I only have trial version so far but its a bit upsetting because it didnt kick me out when it should have and I ended up losing a few buyins more.

Im new to this so unsure how to send you a personal message suic!deking. But this is actually very obvious and Im sure it wont be long until other players work it out. But the tilt buster thing went off and was counting down and I was still able to play on after I did somethin. Lemme know how to send you a personal message and il let you know. It must of been a glitch becauseit wasnt exactly rocket science.
