Also, you mentioned to stop buying in.. but would that affect the auto top up functions? I would still want to auto top up on the tables I have decided to stay on.
Got it, yeah that sounds like a smart addition. I actually use to have it so that TB disabled Auto top up, but we removed that feature in favor of just checking SONH instead; so no, auto top up would not be interrupted.

I think we are going to add the Bankroll Management feature first, and then we will get to this and the SONBB addition. Oh speaking of BBs, I am about to release a new build with (Beta) Stop win/loss BB.

Important question for you: You mentioned to keep the SONH jamming specifically. I was actually considering removing the jamming aspect. Do you find the jamming valuable? Have you tried to sit back in and play before the delay timer finished?

The reason for me considering removing it is b/c if the poker client changes that configuration slightly, it might actually cause TB to interfere with the actions of a current hand. I am very, very adamant about not placing any type of risk like that on my users.
Yes just add sitout BB support.. preferably with an option to turn it off if it causes a problem.

Personally I dont find the jamming all that usefull.. hence its switched off (conflicts with TN). I see no reason to keep it, but others may.

Having some performance issues. cpu usage is spiking quite high like over 20% at times which starts lagging everything on my computer.

And as I am multitabling and cannot close the program this is quite tilting.. ironic

Ash,

Please "show hidden folders' from your control panel. Then go to My Computer > C drive > Program Data (not files) > Tilt Breaker, and send me you log. It will probably be huge, because the previous build (190) had too much logging. Build 191, which I'm assuming you auto updated to fixed that.

That also might have been causing the problem. Your log will probably be too big to email, so if you could please upload it with one of the free share sites, and then email me the link.

Additionally, Stop Loss/Win BB should be considered to be in a beta stage. I have already had one bug report on that, so I am looking into that as well.

thanks for the update,

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

Hi,

I just bought a copy of Tilt Breaker, and there is one thing that I think is needed in the software. While I can set a stop loss from peak - I can't set a stop loss from peak that is different after winning a certain amount. Example - If I start a session losing, and my stop loss is $200 from start - I can lose the full $200 before I am locked out. However If I have won $200 - I then want to be able to lock myself out after losing only $50. If I set my stop loss as $50 from peak, then I will be locked out if I immediately lose $50. I want to be able to set a new stop loss from peak once a certain amount of winnings have occurred. Is this possible? - It should be.

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

Hi, I like the summary of my session i.e. up to date info on number of hands/time played/amount won.

I think there should also be the % of stop loss you are at as well. I understand this could be difficult as there are many different stop loss criteria which leads me onto...

We should be able to choose what to display in the summary. Maybe I don't want to see how much I am winning/losing but want to know how long left in my session etc.

Finally, I think displaying the summary in its own window or even on the tilt button would be better than having to hover the mouse cursor over the task tray icon.

Seems to be working well for me now...

just need the sit out when bb option most and also the option to alert rather than stop immediately

Ballmouse,

Yeah, funny you brought this up, because I was literally just brainstorming on a feature like that yesterday. I think I will do it so that Stop Loss $ from session peak becomes its own auto break value. Then I'll add another input just for that value where you can set the amount of money you need to have won before the Session Peak Stop Loss should come into play.

Sound good?

Thanks for the purchase!

I agree that the session info tool should be customizable, I will put that on the to do list. Adding an option to "pop out" the Session Info tool window should be pretty doable too.

I'm probably going to add "SONBB" and "Close Cash Tables" options to each Auto Break value, remove the jamming of the checkboxes, and clean up some small bugs for the upcoming build, and then focus on the Bankroll Manager feature for the next release.

I'm really trying to ramp up development, so hopefully these builds will be released relatively soon.

Thanks for the input guys, keep it coming.

One new feature Id like to see would be the ability to have a popup instead of a lockout for each of the autobreak items.

i.e. there is a autobreak for if you win over X in a session.

Now I don't really want my session to end just because I have won X.. but if TB is monitoring how much I have won .. then Id like a popup to inform me.

Same with number of hands / time

Additional site support, such as iPoker, Party Poker, will start after I knock out the additional features we have been discussing. Unfortunately I cannot provide a time frame for those yet.

Stu,

This should available be in the upcoming build.

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

^^^ Edit ^^^

Actually I will be releasing a build today or tomorrow that will clean up some small bugs.
  • An issue with Table Ninja compatibility will be resolved
  • A bug with Auto-Break no working when only the Stop Loss/WIn BB options are checked will be fixed
  • The jamming feature that prevent SONH from being unchecked will be removed to prevent potential interruptions of active hands.

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

***Update***

We are adding a Sit Out Next Hand, Sit Out Next BB, and an "Alarm Only" option to EACH Auto Break value.

If you hit an Auto Break Value with an Alarm Only value, a dialog box will come up telling you that you exceed that value. TB will then prevent all registering functions AND it will continue to monitor for other values that have not been exceeded yet. If you hit another value with Alarm Only, the same scenario will happen. If you hit a value with either SONH or SONBB checked, then you will be put into a lockdown.

This should allow for maximum user customization and experience

Also please note that my PayPal Account will be down till 25 November, so if you need your trial extended until then please either PM me or shoot an email to sales@tiltbreaker.com

thanks,

I dont think the Alarm should prevent anything. Its just popping up to make you aware of something TB is monitoring.

Really? If you are hitting an Auto-Break value, shouldn't you be somewhat in the final stage of your session? The only thing you wouldn't be able to do would be buy into new tables. I suppose a table could break or something forcing you to play less tables than you want.......

I'll have to think about this one. Hopefully we can get some more discussion on this, although I think everyone really only reads the OP.

The current to do list:
  • Add SONBB and Alarm Options
  • Add the Bankroll Manager feature
  • Add a feature to sync all computers with TB installed and registered to you. This way if you go into lockdown on one computer and then try to play on another computer, lockdown will still be enforced.
  • Tournament support

Honestly though, I might bump Tournament support, because I haven't really seen demand for it.

If I want the session to end, then I'm going to tick the "end session" option.

The whole point of just having an alarm is that I want to be informed without effecting the session... otherwise what is the difference between the alarm and the end session options?

Well the difference for checking SONBB or SONH would be that:
  • Obviously SONH or SONBB is checked
  • Active Cash Tables would be closed

With Alarm only it would just be a prompt that you exceeded whatever value, and then it would keep you form opening new tables.

I think I'm coming around to your side of the argument though.....

Re: New Software - Tilt Breaker - Tilt Control, Auto Stop Loss, and Bankroll Manager

*THIS IS A NEW POST NOT A RESPONSE, SORRY FOR CONFUSION I AM A NEW MEMBER AND CANNOT START A NEW THREAD *

Dear S!K,

First off, wicked idea and awesome software, it has already saved me money and if I had this years ago I would have a new car right now...

That being said, there is just a few concerns and ideas that I have to cover possible loopholes that defeat the purpose of such a software.

1) Yesterday, I was playing a cash game and I hit my Stop Win Auto break Value, after that, instead of the Delay Timer comming up the table closed automatically in the middle of the hand. I freaked out as it was a big pot, I found the table and double clicked and fortunately was brought back into the game and still in the same hand. This is quite strange for happening, furthermore, the TILT BREAKER count down started (i.e. my cooling off period) however I was still able to continue to play at the table. Possibly even join new tables, but I hadn't tried, either way it was a major glitch.

2) When my auto break start when a value is hit, it sets my TOURNAMENT to sit out, I thought tournaments were suppose to be untouched completely. Please advise.

3) I have a good idea for the software but I am not sure how plausible it is, given that i don't have programming skills and am not sure what is and is not possible. Either way please let me know what you think...

On second thought, this may give people ideas on how to loophole the software, defeating the purpose of it and I know you asked not to make that public earlier in this thread. Please provide me with an email address so I can send you this suggestion.

Thanks for your time and happy gaming to all.

Hey Nadim

Thanks for the bug report. Neither of those things should have happened, so there is definitely a bug there. I I'm pretty sure I already have your email, and I think we discussed your feature idea also. It is definitely plausible, and it will 100% be added.

I'm going to email you now to get your log file so we can figure out those bugs.

Nadim P
Nadim,

After reviewing your log file and thinking about the scenario further, I do not believe you necessarily encountered a bug for your first bug report. Here is what I believe happened: The Delay Timer got hidden behind a table > you were focusing on the big pot you were in, so you probably didn't have time to look for it > Your Delay Timer was set at 1m:30s, so it is plausible that a big hand could have taken longer than that > Delay Timer expires, your cash table was closed > You found the table, and were able to resume play b/c you were already seated and in the middle of hand, thus bypassing the blocking of the buy-in function > After the hand, you were able to resume play b/c TB's primary mechanisms for preventing play had already taken place once the Delay Timer expired.

You would not have been able to sit back in on Stars or FTP b/c we have code to block all cash tables from opening once the lockdown starts. We will most likely add the same code to AP/UB now in light of this bypass. We also may make it so that the Timer windows stay on top of all windows like the Rage Quit button does, so that they can't get lost; although the timer is always visible in the task bar.

I would recommend increasing your Delay Timer to at least 3 minutes.

Your second bug looks like an actual bug that we are looking into.

Thanks again for the report,
S!K
