$30 is very expensive for an app that just closes a buy-in dialog....
Good idea, but imo price tag is little too high for my liking.

Preventing the registering functions is around 30% of the program
Disabling auto-rebuy and some of the other automation is around 30%
Backend security features to make sure the program can't be easily bypassed is the remainder.

That said, I'm thinking of stripping the disabling of auto-rebuy/topoff and instead replacing it with "jamming" the "Sit out next hand" box so that it cannot be unchecked during the lockdown period. This will allow a user to take a break without having to be kicked off all their tables.

Would this be value added?

Once the auto stop loss is implemented, I am definitely going to purchase this.

Good to see this product finally get advertised here. I am excited to use it, as tilt plays a huge role in my poker game, and the self exclusion feature is just not enough. This would provide much more than the self exclusion feature can offer. Keep us updated on any software updates.. and especially UB/AP support!

suic!deking,

Do you have a set date for the auto stop loss function? Thanks in advance!

Homie_rot,

I am going to add AP/UB support first; this should be finished late next week.

After that, development on a stop loss feature will be started. This will take a bit of time. My early estimation would be Late May to mid June; but I may be able to release the auto-stop loss feature in segments; i.e cash game support for FT in one release, then AP/UB cash support, etc.

Additionally, I realized my pricing is too high for the current version. I kind of priced it in between the current version and the anticipated auto-stop loss update. I did this with the intention of raising the price when the auto-stop loss was released, but rewarding the early adopters by giving the auto-stop loss update for free. That puts undue risk on you guys though, so that was dumb, my bad. I will still reward the early adopters of the current version with some sort of discount on the upgrade to the stop loss (and no I will not be charging for every additional upgrade/feature).

I haven't decided on exact pricing yet, but it will be something like this:

Tilt Breaker desktop button - between $11 - $18

Tilt Breaker Auto-Stop Loss + Tilt breaker button - between $40 - $55

I will update the OP and the website to reflect the new price soon.

Thanks,

This sounds cool, quick question once you set your stop loss wouldnt you be able to just go into the programme and change the stop loss if you were tilting and you knew you were getting close to your limit? or would it be possible to say set a stop loss for a week or month with out it ever being allowed to be changed no matter what with in that time?

Thanks

reddev,

Your real time money won/lost would be based off of your Hand Histories (HH), so as soon as you get 1 HH Tilt breaker would consider that the start of a session, and therefore grey out the auto-stop loss input fields in the configuration panel.

Ideally, the user will be able to define a session by the time between HH's. So for example, the user decides a new session for them is 1 hr between the HH of their last session and the start of a new one. They would then input 1 hr into the "session determination" field in the configuration panel. Under this scenario, if you played one hand and then stopped, you would not be able to change your stop loss preferences for 1 hr. If you played 1,000 hands, it would be 1 hr from the 1,000th hand, but remember you still lose the ability to change the preferences after the first HH is received.

The 1 hr would not be your stop loss time though, you would set that separately.

Let me know if you have any additional questions,

Thanks,

New price is up - $16 for a lifetime license

A new build will be released within the next two days; basically auto-rebuy will be stripped and replaced with "sit out next hand" being "jammed" so it cannot be unchecked once Cash mode is activated. This will make lockdown visually smoother and also allow users to take a break w/o actually having to leave the tables.

silly question, sorry if it's answered somewhere, but is this a program you can just shut down from the task manager by ending its process?

seat_empty,

No, you cannot kill the program through the task manager. Several measures have been put in place to prevent the ability to bypass a lockdown. For obvious reasons I am not going to go into detail to as what those are.

If you find a way to bypass a lockdown, PM it to me and I will address it, please do not post it here. I don't see any benefit to announcing a bypass, allowing users who potentially would have never known about it otherwise, to now have a "devil on their shoulder".

No bypasses have been reported yet, FYI.

Thanks,

Quick update. Auto-rebuy is down on stars. I will be releasing a new build tomorrow that will erase the need to disable auto-rebuy. Instead Tilt Breaker will now check sit out next hand, and the prevent it from being unchecked in Cash mode. This will make for a seamless lockdown, and actually protects users more efficiently.

The framework for absolute poker is in place, once that's finished ub will be relatively quick. Then we will focus on auto stop loss support. Additionally a new website is in the works.

Edit: forgot to mention, the new build is also adding support for ALL languages supported by Full Tilt and Pokerstars.

What happens if I restart my computer while using Tilt Breaker to lock me out? Would it still keep me locked out after my computer restarted till the timer countdown is finished?

Punter,

If you went into lockdown for 1 hour at 2pm, turned off your computer and then turned it back on at 2:50pm, you would still be in lockdown with 10 minutes remaining. If you turned it back on at 3:01pm you would be out of lockdown and have full access to your client.

Let me know if you need additional clarification or have questions on anything else.

Thanks,

Thanks Simo, glad you like it.

Alright, new build just released including the following:
  • All Languages supported by the respective poker sites are now supported by Tilt Breaker
  • Lockdown is now seamless
  • Sit Out Next Hand can no longer be unchecked during Cash Mode lockdown; this replaced Auto-Rebuy disabling
  • Absolute poker support
  • Ultimate Bet support
I need a couple beta testers for AP and UB. Beta testers will receive a free purchase code, as long as they provide adequate feedback. PM me or post here if interested.

We are working on auto-stoploss now, but I do not have a firm release date. Also, new website in the works. I plan on having articles and other media on there to help you get off tilt, and hopefully conquer tilt itself altogether.

stay tuned,

Even though I am happy with my purchase, I can not wait for the auto-stop loss to be implemented.

I usually quit after losing 3 buyins, but ended up losing 8 today trying to chase losses. When I finally used tilt breaker, it was too late. Make sure to keep us up to date on this.

Thanks, Suic!deKing.

Hi there,
Nice software , I suggest:

Make the tilt button appear even if Tilt breaker is opened after the client, right now, you'll have to restart the poker client to get the button.
Make 3 Tilt buttons, for the three levels, just an idea.

Homie_rot,

I will definitely keep everyone up to date.

Question for you though, was the Tilt Breaker button visible during that session? I was hoping that having a visual representation of something to remind you "hey you know you're tilting, time to stop!" would help people to use TB and quit faster.

Curious to hear your, and anyone else's, thoughts on that.

Stronti,

I'm confused of what you mean when you say "make the tilt button appear even if Tilt breaker is opened after the client", regardless, you can always launch the Tilt Breaker button from the red button icon labeled "TB" in your system tray. Just right-click on that icon and choose "show button", or you can use that icon as the Tilt Breaker button by double-clicking it.

As for your 3 different Tilt Breaker Buttons idea, that might be a little hard to execute practically, but I'll ponder on it. You did remind me of an idea to have three different hotkeys, one for each tilt level time. Would that work for you?

thanks for the feedback, much appreciated
