I figured it out: you need to not let any key events through to the chat box unless the mouse is over the chatbox.

The problem with the current scheme is that if my mouse is over the table (but not the chat box) the fact that some words I type appear in the chatbox can fool me into thinking my mouse is in the correct spot.

You could also optionally beep when I press an unassigned key when the mouse is not over the chatbox. This would help train me to position the mouse over the chatbox before typing chat.

Didn't read the thread but is there any way you can change " automatically close tournaments" to less than 2 seconds? Preferably 0 seconds

Hi tarath, I'm one of the italian guys who discovered and loved your program at the beginnings. I've completely moved my BR to PS.it, and bought TN ready to crush the pokerroom, but I'm still waiting for the version compatible with the .it; I know that some friends are trying the new beta that works whit PS.it, and I'd like to know when it will be available. Or, alternatively, can I download the .it-compatible-version somewhere (or somehow)?

Thanks,
Francesco.

I've never heard of F3 being registered to stars for any reason so honestly I am not sure what could cause this.

Can you email me your TableNinja log file and TNConfigAutoLoad file at support@alxsoftware.com. I will take a look and try and help you out.

Thanks

Tarath
Problem solved, thank you very much for your instant help!

Try to copy all the files in this folder (make sure pokerstars is closed):

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary\ctrls

and paste them into this folder, and overwrite any that are named similarly:

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\Xixel@xixel.net\Dark-Gloss\label

Now when you open stars back up Xixel should look just like the Hyper-Simple theme as far as Table Ninja is concerned (assuming it needs the same images as BetPot and PSC).

This sounds quite doable to me. I expect its something we can make work and I bet it would really help people who like to chat in TIF. Thanks for the suggestion.

When we first made this feature we gave a zero second option and people would be confused because sometimes TableNinja knows you lost the tournament a fraction of a second before you actually see yourself lose.

We made the minimum time 2 seconds so that everyone has time to watch their last hand and see themselves win the tourney or lose an all-in before closing the window on them.

The next update will be compatible with .it probably in a week or two. There are still some minor bugs with the beta version some people are trying so we don't want to release that version to everyone until we've had time to fix everything properly.

Honestly I have no idea if this will work or not, but its definitely worth a try and there is a good chance it will work. I'd definitely be interested in knowing if this solution works, and thanks Fozzy for suggesting it

Thanks for all the feedback guys,

If everything but the action hotkeys work you could try using the "Click buttons by location" hotkeys on the Action Hotkeys tab.

These hotkeys will click the left action button (usually fold) the middle action button (usually call/check) or the right action button (usually bet/raise) without scraping the screen at all so they will work even in unsupported themes.

Hope this helps,

Tarath

Yes, I made a copy/paste typo. I am very sorry. I should have proof-read it. I was just copy/pasting from the address bar in windows explorer.

You need to replace the xixel ctrls (not labels) with the ordinary ctrls. I told you to copy the right images, but I told you to paste them to the wrong directory. You may want to delete the images from xixel and reinstall it.

Here is an AHK installer for that theme if you need it to reinstall. Then,.....

Try to copy all the files in this folder (make sure pokerstars is closed):

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\Themes\ordinary\ctrls

and paste them into this folder, and overwrite any that are named similarly:

C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\Xixel@xixel.net\Dark-Gloss\ctrls

I didn't test it with TN, but that is all that is necessary to make the AHK based scripts/apps work. The Xixel xthemes.ini uses the stars ordinary base, which is hyper-simple. They need the default ctrls images - buttons, slider, checkboxes, etc. If TN needs to be able to do image recognition or scraping of the player name boxes or avatar circles (I assume it doesn't, but wouldn't know for sure) then you would want to use the default ordinary \labels in place of the custom xixel labels.

I use this hotkey a lot and it is extremely valuable for handling events like this that occasionally take you away from tables requiring action.

Using 'cycle to first in line table' solved the problem.. Also, the lag was caused due to other programs (esp firefox). I close every other progs and I can 60 table with no lag. The 'sitting out' tables popping up is annoying, but to a far less extent now that I am using the hotkey as you suggested.

btw, I bought tableninja. Thanks for this great software

Im kinda pissed at this program.

Not because of it, exactly (greatest program for stars, ever)...but more so because I'm going to end up buying a new HD tv so that I can lay on the couch and grind with my wireless keypad all day.

First time in like 2 years my wrist hasn't hurt from clicking a mouse all day long. hotkeys ftw.

Any hope for a sng auto-opener? (I play 180's)

I just started trying this out today and couldnt get the tournament lobbies to close. It says "the tournament closer requires that you choose your PokerStars(R) install directory on the "General" tab" but Im not sure what that means. Anyone know?

I suffered from a pretty severe RSI in more forearms for over a year and it was one of the worst experiences of my life so if TableNinja can help your wrists that is incredibly gratifying for me. Sorry you have to buy and HD TV

A SnG opener is in the works and will hopefully be in the next update.

Thanks!

Hey,

If you are using Windows Vista and getting this error than something is wrong and you should definitely send me an email at support@alxsoftware.com.

If you are in Windows XP you need to go to the general tab in TableNinja. On the left side at the top there is a place to enter your PokerStars install directory. Click the ... button and browse to the directory where you installed PokerStars (by default it is c:\program files\PokerStars if you are running an english version of windows).

If this doesn't help send me an email at support@alxsoftware.com and I can help you out.

Tarath

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like the program

TableNinja uses tons of Win32 functions and making a Mac OS version would be extremely hard, we have no plan to ever make a Mac OS version of TableNinja.

Each key only works one time but you can email me at support@alxsoftware.com and request a second key (for free) and I'll send it to you.

Thanks!

The trial is for 7 days, TableNinja should tell you how many days of your free trial are left each time you run the program.
