- I did notice a few new features such as counting how many tables I have open. Was also nice how it clicked my FTP timebank for me. But it just really sucks how your original program was actually better than the new one. I posted this before, but I wish you guys would just update the original and give us subscribers the option of changing back or something. By better, I mean the original TableNinja's performance is faster, the UI is cleaner and more intuitive, and the process of setting up stacks and table asides is just way more comfortable on TN1.
I had to go back and reread my old posts, but in the original TN1 I could just set a key (say F4) to stack my tables. I drag a Stars table to the right size, hit F4, and boom instant stack. When I want to drag windows out, I simply click the set aside button, it pops up, I hit save, and I'm done.
In the new TableNinja, I have to click Table Control, then Layout. But when I set the stack key to F4, it actually did something completely stupid and completely different. Because you added an extra step, where I have to press Edit and then rearrange my table there, hit save, and add TA slots separately and hit save on everything together. BTW, I would have never known this if I hadn't whined about this already, a few months ago. So basically until I did that, the tables were just set to the minimum size and moved to the way upper left corner of my monitor, as a default behavior! Can you imagine how tilting that is to a customer to just constantly have everything minimized to the max and shoved over like that? It's like you know in advance TN2 is garbage and you are trolling your customers.
I'm pretty sure if you hadn't already helped me find out how to setup a layout, I would have put my fist through the monitor for what TN2 was doing to the layout.
- But far more importantly, your new program is noticeably sluggish and much slower than TN1. I'm looking for help in improving it's performance because it makes my computer noticeably slower when I am multi-tabling. I'm pretty sure the program crashed my Stars and cost me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in equity today (blinding out multiple orbits near FT of the Sunday $82 hyper and near the money of the Hot 162). Stars crashed in a very unusual way that had never happened to me before and the only new thing I'm running is TN2.
I can actually honestly say that yesterday's session without TN2 was an improvement. Yesterday I had to manually click my raise sizes and move the cbet flop to 50% each time. But my games were never sluggish and never crashed. Today, in some of the biggest leverage spots of the day, my tables were being dragged to weird corners against my will and crashing the Pokerstars client.
- I'm not sure if you guys are lapping up the koolaid at your company but whoever came up with the idea for the TN2 moneygrab is a despicable human being. It'd be one thing if the program you forced us to upgrade to was an actual improvement. Then I wouldn't mind paying double the cost for just one year. But it's not! TableNinja2 sucks. It's so bad that despite paying the full price for it, I'm looking into StarsHelper or more AHK scripts as an alternative!
Your company got on the map by providing great value to poker players with TN1. In all honestly, that program was worth more than what we paid for it. So sure you had a lot of goodwill. Now I only wish darkness upon you and the dark cry of crows. This thread needs more Dark Knight customers who throw hate at you for being a scummy company. If you were actually honest and stayed true to the spirit of a lifetime license, you would at least update TN1 so that it is in compliance with the Stars restrictions. At the moment, Table Ninja 1 is actually unusable despite the promise your company made.
I will be sure to write down every time this P.O.S. Table Ninja 2 crashes or causes me problems in this thread as an honest customer. Also you should fire the lead designer.
Hi YugiohPro
Firstly i would like to apologize for the issues you are experiencing with TN2, I hope we can work with you in getting them resolved.
1) The layout in TN1 is different from TN2 and we had some requested to add the same feature in TN2, So we do have a ticket open for this and hope to add it in the future, I will talk with the developers on getting this added.
2) To setup the layout in TN2 is pretty easy but i can understand it can be frustrating coming from TN1 which may have being easier for some, But once you click on a layout in TN2 it will bring up a display window once you move this to
your desired location and then resize it etc after clicking save that is it the layout is now saved and to use this going forward you just need to click the HK that you have assigned to that layout. If this is not what is happening
for you please let us know and we will work with you in getting it resolved.
3) We have no other reports of Stars crashing when using TN2 so this is a new report to us and is definitely something we would want to investigate further if you are willing to work with us on that.
4) Regarding Lifetime License - We understand that it is frustrating when you feel that something unfair has happened. We always tried to be as clear as possible on the TableNinja website that:
1. We reserve the right to release a new product and to charge for that product.
2. We are in no way obligated to release updates to TN1. And therefore the Infinite License entitles you to receive any TN1 updates that happen to be released.
Over the years we’ve updated TableNinja 1 hundreds of times, but we needed to create TableNinja 2 from the ground up to be able to do things that simply aren’t possible with the TableNinja 1 code base.
As a business we must make decisions that keep us viable, and TableNinja 2 has been a major investment designed to ensure that we can continue to provide a great multitabling experience to our customers for years to come.
In order to address all your issues, we could setup a tv session with you, to get them fixed asap. If this is something that you would be willing to do, please email our support team with a link to this thread and your forum name and your availability.
