I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3 on 2 gigs of ram
I ran the latest version of TableNinja as of 4-8-09

The review: I really liked the program, but a few major issues forced me to discontinue its use. That being said, I only used the program for about an hour without changing my initial settings, and I'm sure that my experience could be improved. The problems I encountered were as follows:

1) The hotkeys that I had assigned to fold and check did not function
2) My mouse movements were very choppy and it became difficult to click the bet button
3) When I attempted to change TableNinja settings mid-game, an error message appeared that would not disappear no matter how many times I clicked "x". The error message said that I needed to select a PokerStars table theme, which I had already done (and made no changes to).
4) Stars thought that I was a bot, and as I frantically attempted to enter the Captcha, I sat out of many of my tourneys. I had used a few letters necessary for the Captcha as hotkeys, so I had to close the program at that point, and my trial was over.

I was playing about 30 tables at the time that this happened. I am going to do the same thing again with slightly different settings after my computer restarts and report back with any progress. I think TableNinja has a lot of potential, but there are clearly bugs in the program.

Thanks for trying TableNinja. It sounds like something strange is going on with your configuration or possible there is a conflict with another piece of software you are running, because 3 of your 4 issues are things that have never been reported before. We currently have thousands of people using the program successfully every day so something about your setup must be very unique and incompatible with the program. Are you running AHK scripts alongside TableNinja? Is their anything unusual about your set-up that you can think of?

Believe me if something like the fold hotkey never working or Stars thinking your a bot were common bugs I would be getting hundreds of emails a day hearing about it and I've never received any

Anyways I will try and go through your issues and give suggestions where I can. If what I suggest doesn't help then email me your configuration file at support@alxsoftware.com and I will definitely help you figure out whats going on.

Issue 1) I have never heard anything like this. I would check that you have the correct PokerStars theme selected in TableNinja.

Issue 2) I would try disabling frames and see if that helps.

Issue 3) I also have never heard of this, but you could try using the "keep TableNinja on top when not minimized" option on the general tab to make editing the options while playing easier.

Issue 4) Again no one has ever reported having this happen to them so I'm not sure what to say. TableNinja is on the official list of approved PokerStars software so it should not be possible for the program to trigger their bot detection.

Anyways hope this helps, let me know how it goes. I would definitely take the time to try and get things configured properly and be assured that none of these issues except for the mouse lag are known problems with TableNinja.

My second trial with the software went smoothly, probably because I disabled the settings, "auto refresh tournament info tab" and "move mouse to active table". Mouse lag disappeared for the most part and I did not have any problems with bot detection, but I can only get my cycle between table hotkeys to work. When I try to use my fold or check hotkeys, I get the same error message.

I am much more satisfied with the program after making these changes. I don't think I'll be playing any more tournaments tonight, but I will make the changes that you recommended soon.

Sorry I didn't realize you were getting an error message with the check and fold hotkeys. What does the error message say?

FWIW, I got the Captcha a couple of times today. Not that big of a deal to me, didn't have any hotkeys set to letters. Just wanted to let you know about it.

Hmm I was unaware this was happening, thanks for the info. I will email stars and ask if there is anything we can do about it.

Thanks for the report, I've never had it happen when I'm playing and I've booked many many hours with TN so I wonder if its some kind of setting issue that causes it. Are you running any other scripts or anything?

Hopefully now that I'm aware of the problem I can handle it.

In the mean time I highly recommend having the "Disable hotkeys toggle" hotkey set from the general tab for anyone encountering this problem. This hotkey will turn off/on all the other hotkeys so that you can deal with the Captcha easily even if you have hotkeys assigned to letters.

I tried out the programm today and I am really excited about it. Everything worked fine as long as my PT3 Hud wasn't activated. Once I did Tableninja didn't work anymore.
Maybe this was covered before but I didn't find a solution yet. What can I do?

I can´t use Tableninja to play with PS. If action is on the table. (multitabling) the Mouspointer laggt. Disable Frames. I have 4GB Ram and using MS Vista. I also use PT3 with HUD

Just wanted to say the software if amazing. I was using Betpot and Starshotkeys before. I finally decided to try yours instead. WOW! What a great piece of software. It made my poker life much easier. Thank you very much for creating this.

Most likely something from your HUD is covering (or is very near to) the pot box, or the action buttons. I would recommend Reorganizing your HUD to make sure that the pot box, the action buttons, and the cards are all completely visible. This should fix the problem.

Are you using a Vista Aero theme? If not, I would definitely try and switch to a Vista theme supporting the Aero interface. The standard aero theme is called "Windows Vista" and you can set it in the "Appearance and personalization" section of the control panel.

I would also try disabling the "Jump Mouse to table" feature from the Table Control tab.

If neither of those options help, then most likely the lag is due to repeated errors while scraping causing TableNinja to have to retry everything many times. If you can email me your TableNinja log file from your TableNinja install directory (email to support@alxsoftware.com) then I can help you out.

I'm pretty happy with my AHK setup, but this looks pretty neato so I'll be giving it a whirl. Are you guys planning on blind level specific raises? I have this in a modded version of stars hotkeys and it's so helpful for SnGs.

We are definitely planning to add this feature in the coming months. Its one of the easier features on our list so its quite likely to get done two updates from now (the next update is purely behind the scenes stuff and will have no new features).

Same here, but it only seems to happen when I play more than 4 tables.

If we had the auto refresh tourney stats option selected would we even see the captcha message?

Did this just start happening over the last couple days or has this been occurring all along?

just DL'd the update last night, and had tremendous mouse lag (which from reading the last 50 posts seems to be a standard issue). i had no issues when i wud close down TN...but i tried turning TN back on durring the session and it wud only mouse lag if TN was open.

settings:

[x] disable frames
[_] jump mouse to cycled tables

was working like a charm before this (2GB with only HEM, PS, TN, AIMP2 running). any suggestions?

Which version did you update from?

Just yesterday, hasn't happened yet today. I'm playing cash when it happened, before I played mostly MTTs.

Something annoying has happened to me one day. When I sit out for a moment (cash games), PS auto-leave you from the table after a certain moment. It happens often when I was just coming back, generally I just insta reclick my seat and continue to play at this table.

But TN closes those table just after the auto-leave like it does for finished tourney... and my seat is generally occupied when I refind the table...

Can you change that?

This is definitely still high on our list. Unfortunately, the very next version is going to be completely behind the scenes improvements (no new features). We are working as hard and as long as we ever have to get this out asap but we're doing some major work on the infrastructure of the code and it will take time. The update after next will have tons of new features and while we haven't planned it out for sure yet I think this is something that will most likely be in there.

hi all,
today i found this software.its perfect!!!

Hi,

Are you using the latest version (version 1.0.139.0)? It sounds as though you may be using an older version, in which case I would strongly recommend updating to the latest version.

If for some reason you do not want to update, you can fix your problem by doing the following:

1) Make sure that your language in PokerStars is set to English
2) Go to the control panel and opening the "Regional and Language Options"
3) Set the "Current Format" to "English (United States)"
