Currently there is no need to purchase TableNinja, you can buy it to show your support for the program or so that you don't have to worry about buying it later when the beta ends, but throughout the beta everyone can use all the features of the program as much as they like for free. We gave the option for people to purchase the program, mainly so that we could test our order process, and make sure that everything works smoothly when you purchase and unlock the program.

We really want to thank all the people that have purchased already, we appreciate your support.

We honestly don't know when the beta will end. We decided to do a beta so that we could develop the program with a lot of feedback from the community. I play cash games with 8 tiled tables in the default theme so I had no idea what kind of features a person who 30 tables Sit-n-Gos with stacked tables in the hyper-simple theme would need. The beta has provided us with feedback from all types of players which is what we really need to make TableNinja great. We plan to continue the beta until we feel TableNinja is ready for a release, we really don't know when that will be.

We have things set up so that the beta version will warn you when the beta is going to be ending soon and I will also post about it on the forum. This way you won't just wake up one morning and have TableNinja revert to a trial version. Instead you will have a week or two before the beta ends to buy the program and use all of TableNinja's features uninterrupted.

Hopefully this answers your questions,

Tarath

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Tarath,

Thanks so much for your quick and thorough responses to all the posts in this thread. As you may have discovered, customer service tends to be one of the top priorities of many 2+2ers, whether from the poker sites themselves, or from add-on or complimentary programs - so far, you are getting an A+ in my book.

I currently only play at Full Tilt, with the assistance of Full Tilt Shortcuts. I have been considering switching to Stars for many months now, and this program could be the deal maker. I'm looking forward to trying it out this week, and maybe even giving Stars a good portion of my business.

Thanks again - keep up the great work.

The first thing to check is if you have your theme set in TableNinja. Go to the "General" tab and select the "Classic" theme (or whatever theme you want to use) from the theme drop-down menu.

If that's not the problem then why don't you email me at support@alxsoftware.com and we can figure things out. We never have problems like this in XP so it may be a little tricky to pin down.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Downloaded tonight and played with it for a bit.

My biggest requests thus far:

- when I click on a seat to sit down, auto-click the ok button for the buy-in
- auto-click "Autopost blinds"
- auto-click "Wait for BB"
- basically do everything that FTS's "Deal Me" functions do

Looks good so far. Thanks for the free trial!

Ok your customer service is too good. I deleted that post five minutes after posting it (figured out the problem) and you still managed to quote and respond to it.

The problem was that I stack tables and I selected the 'Only scrape foreground windows' from the general tab and THEN changed the table control option to 'Cycle Tables with Hotkey' (thereby unknowingly disabling my first selection and making it such that the hotkeys didn't work ... although they didn't work with only one table running which I don't understand). Changing the option (Table Control) back to 'Table in Foreground' has it working now though even with multiple tables stacked.

As long as I'm here, I have a few requests for the future updates. The first relates to the 'problem' above. I want to have stacked tables but still be able to cycle through them with a hotkey (or two for forward/backwards). If my set is down to a few bubbles (SNG) I don't want to just respond to the tables as they hit, I might want to study specific one(s) that I'm not in the hand so having a next/previous button(s) would be great.

Why, when I open the hand replayer (using that little button on the topleft of the table) does the main Stars Lobby jump down over it?

Can you add a hotkey to hit the register button for the tournament currently highlighted?

Can you make the fold/check/call/bet hotkeys work on the preselect checkboxes?

Can you add a feature so any numpad presses go directly to the betbox?

Can you add a feature to periodically press the refresh button on the info tab?

Love the software so far. Great job. I'm hoping I can replace all my AHKs soon.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Hey Im loving the software but a few suggestions

Add BB instead of just percent for the default preflop betting.

Also, Is there a way too add limpers to the default betting as opposed to making it a separate hotkey? Like adding an option to increase bet by X percent (or BBs should an option too)

Also, is the autotime clicker as efficient as it could be? My ahk version seemed to give me a little extra time. Like does it start clicking the time the second it comes up? Because technically shouldnt it be waiting to click right until the last second to give you maximum time and this time would vary between Regular Tourneys and Turbo Tourneys or High speed cash games etc... in my AHK a specific number was recommended to change for say turbo tourneys.

I know people are also using HyperBlank Plus from Tiltbuster.com or Stealth II from psthemes.com, and the everlong themes so you could try those as well but please test them carefully first.

Generally we do our best to make TableNinja work with other scripts but there have been occasional problems in the past. You can certainly try and it may work, but I would do a quick test-run at micro-stakes or play money. If there are problems let me know.

We will also look into making unminimizing the lobby optional.

Thanks and let me know if you have any other questions.

I tried it but once i change the default BG of the themes the program stop working. Im also expeciencing some crashes during the use. Im using the rightlick as a hotkey, and once a newtable is opened(or when i already folded me hand) i right click a seat and click (sit here) to arrange my tables so i can see the cards better and sometimes when i do it it crashers.. also, another issue that i found is that when i click between the tables too fast it also crashes(dunno if its beacuse im using overlaped tables (but i configured it just as ur site told).. another weird thing that i expecienced 1 time was this: i dont usually see the chat, but 1 guy asked me 1 thing and i was going to answer, i typed the stuff on the chat but i coudlnt press enter(i tried both), everytime i pressed enter a popup would show asking me "are you sure you want to close this table?" i tried a few more times and it didnt work.. but after a while it worked... its definatly a very good program, once its stable im sure buying it

Wow, Ive never heard of anything like this happening so I'm not sure what the problem could be.

If you don't mind helping us figure this out by sending me and email at support@alxsoftware.com, I'd appreciate it. Hopefully we can working through the problem and figure things out.

Thanks and sorry for all the crashes, that is very strange.

We definitely plan to keep adding features to TableNinja. We've nearly doubled the length of our features list during these past 3 weeks of beta and plan to continue adding features throughout the lifetime of the program as they are requested.

PokerStars software updates can be quite time consuming for us and may require regular updates to TableNinja that aren't motivated by new features. Purchasing TableNinja gets you access to free updates of any kind for a year from the date you purchased. If you purchase during the beta, you will get free updates for a year from the end of the beta (to be fair to those who purchase early). After a year you can always purchase an additional year of updates at a reduced price or you can keep using the version you have.

At some point we may also bundle a suite of features that target some specific style of play into an optional add-on or separate program. We already have a few exciting ideas that might fall into this category, but they'll certainly take time to develop.

Thanks,

Tarath

If I want to try out No-Images theme and see if it works, what do I set the theme to in TableNinja? None?

i would guess trying both available theme options would be optimal for testing, leaving it at none wont do anything afaik.

These are all things we definitely are planning to add eventually. Automatically taking a seat, coming off a wait-list and buying in for a custom amount should be in the next update, the others may take a bit longer.

The replay window bringing up the lobby is a bug, unfortunately it actually may be a little tricky to fix, but we're going to work on it.

The rest of these are good ideas and I've added them to our list.

Thanks for all the feedback guy I appreciate it. We're working hard on adding more features but we only have so much time so please be patient

Hmm we can definitely work on making TableNinja manage the time bank more optimally. Your help would be really valuable on this one. Any info you could find for us on exactly how things work and exactly when we should be clicking the time button for all the table types would really help us get this done more quickly.

Tarath are you actually the developer of this software? if not, who is? you keep referring to "we"...

Regarding timebanks, it does not matter when it is clicked - it won't start ticking until normal time runs out. The reason for different times in the AHK is due to differences in "normal" time before stars will auto-fold your hand on speed tables, and the button is not even visible yet on a slow table.

tarath,
just downloaded and played a session, gotta say it worked great. one thing i would love to see in the next update is a hotkey for clearing the bet window, just making it active and blank ready for input. also i think your smart call, fold, check, etc buttons should be allowed to be mapped to the advance actions aswell. that way less keys, its the same action after all.

good work, will donate once beta is finished.

Thanks for the info on the time-bank Dave. I was worried maybe I had missed something. From what you said it sounds like the time bank does in fact work how I thought it did and everything should be fine with that feature.

My friend is a software developer and he and I created TableNinja together. I've been a regular on Stars for years so I have a lot of poker experience and knew what kind of features I wanted and he's a professional programmer and much more skilled than I am in that area. He does most of the programming and I do most of the work of designing the product, picking features, etc. Most of this is on the "About Us" page for those who are curious.

Thanks again for the time-bank info,

Glad you're enjoying the program. When we first designed the hotkeys I had some reason that I didn't want them clicking the advanced action buttons and now I can't remember what that possibly could have been I'll look into making it work how you want.

A hotkey to clear and activate the bet-box is an excellent idea and shouldn't be to hard, I just added it to our list.

Thanks,

Instead of a hotkey to activate the betbox, how about just forwarding any number keys that are pressed to the betbox? An AHK script used to do this I think.

I have a question about the banktime. As I play with overlaped tables, does it click the TIME even tho I can't see the table yet? Cuz if it doesnt, it is kinda useless for ppl who play with cascade/overlaped tables.

Honestly i dont like this idea much, if you are using the preset bet functionality then you'll just be typing at the end of whatever the preset amount is. Plus what if i want to type a number in chat. When the bet box is active all numbers are obviously directed there and if you are going to type numbers i would think a blank box would be good.

-1 to direct all numpad input to betbox by default
+1 hotkey for clearing and activating bet box
