I am the paranoid type. I like the AutoHotKeys Scripts because anything that's being done is in clear text that can be read by the average person.
Playing devil's advocate for a moment... What stops this software from installing something malicious like a keylogger or other type of code that could retrieve passwords and such from our computer?
The necessity to run as an administrator under Vista has me slightly concerned as well. I read every word on your website and nothing seems to address any of these concerns ahead of time.
Thanks in advance for not taking these questions the wrong way. You have what looks like a good prduct here. Just doing my homework, that's all.
I fully respect all privacy concerns and believe that it's hard to be too paranoid, which means that any program you run requires some amount of trust. It certainly isn't wrong to be skeptical , but it may cause you to miss out on a great program.
This question has been asked before and I know it is a major concern to some people.
TableNinja has to run as administrator on Windows Vista to send mouse clicks and keyboard commands to Windows. Unless things have changed in the last few months, when you run most poker AHK scripts you are either running AHK as an administrator and thus running all scripts as an administrator, or compiling the script into an executable and running it as an administrator. (I no longer use AHK and am not an AHK expert but this is how things were when I used it before TableNinja if things are different now and someone wants to correct me feel free).
As far as whether we could be transmitting private data back to your server we very carefully outline all the internet connectivity TableNinja does here.

TableNinja only connects at startup or when you manually check the update/purchase window. We transmit far less data than a single hand history file (which you can easily verify with a program like zon-alarm).
Honestly I cannot 100% prove to you that TableNinja is safe, ultimately it is a matter of trust. You will have to make your own judgement as to whether you want to use TableNinja or not.
I can say that I have been an active member of the poker community for years, I am a respected coach on 2+2 and a professional player and I have a very good reputation. We also have hundreds of people using TableNinja and enjoying the program and I'm sure plenty of them would be happy to vouch for what a great program TableNinja is.
Ultimately we completely respect whatever decision you make, but I think you'll be missing out on a really great program if you don't give TableNinja a chance.
