I'm afraid neither of these options are available at this time. You can use the pot % hotkeys for this. Setup one for 3bet pots and others for IP and OOP situtations. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll be sure to pass it on to the developers.

Try going to TableNinja>General and make sure the box marked "disable mouse hotkeys" is unchecked. If this doesn't work make a new thread here so I can go over your logs:

This should only happen if the program is installed to a new folder or deleted. Is your machine automatically restoring after a crash? To find your PokerStars settings folder go to PokerStars>Help>Show my settings folder. Make sure this matches the path in TableNinja>Setup. Once this is correct your theme error should resolve itself. I also reccomend saveing a copy of your config in case this happens again. You can do this by going to TableNinja>Save Current Config as.

I've downloaded TN and have some questions before I start playing, I hope someone can help:

1 - I only need TN to do 2 things for me - autoregister to SNGs and close dead tables. I have limited resources and wondered if only using these two features will save resources, or if TN will still check other things that I don't need (like pot size, which street we are on etc).

2 - If I want to have up 30 tables for 60min, how does TN count '60min'. Does the timer begin once I have 30 tables up, or when I am registered to the 1st tourney? Also, if I were disconnected from PS for 2-3mins, would it also counts those mins?

3 - As I will only play one type of SNG, once TN has started registering me, do I still need to keep the PS filter screen open? I was just thinking that if no 'new' filter needs to be entered during registration, then I might be able to close that screen.

4 - I don't understand what 'Register wait' is for. Does this add time onto the 'seconds between cycles'?

Thanks a lot for the help!

I'll try to go through your questions in order.

1. Most of the features in TableNinja can be disabled if you like. If your multi-tabling on a slower machine you should definately spend some time testing at play money. Try disabling "frames" in TableNinja>Table Control first.

2. The timer will begin as soon as you click the start button in the SnG Sensei. It will continue to count until you stop the Sensei or your time limit kicks in. Any time spent disconnected will also be counted.

3. You'll need to keep the filter open but you can drag it almost completely off the screen to save space. It only needs to show enough that you can grab it if you want to change something.

4. These are advanced options that are likely fine by default. It would be best to leave them unless directed by support.

I thought I would only use it for registering as well, but I ended up loving the betting shortcuts.

I run on a two year old dell inspiron laptop and can 30 table don with hud from pt3 and bb display from tn. Can more tables with hud off.

I mainly play mtt sng and this is so helpful. Especially the auto refresh tourney info tab.

Thanks a lot for the replies!

Ok, so I have now tested it with 10 SNGs and did not notice any lag. I switched off as many features as possible, including the 'frames' as you recommended.

I did have a problem with the Sensei though. Here is what I tried initially:

The way I understood this was that I had selected 1 tourney to open every 20 seconds, and to register to 4 tourneys total. What happened in the end, is that TN only registered me to the first tourney, so after a while I stopped the sensei and added the rest manually.

Did I misunderstand how to use this, or could there be an error with my computer/TN?

Target Number is the amount you want to register for...

If you want 4 games opened at once, Target number should be 4... If you want 10, Target number should be 10.

You want the Cycle to be to register for as many as you think are available to register at that time... If they fill up every 2 minutes 6 at a time, then your bet "Cycle" should be 4 every 120 seconds. Once you reach the "Target" it will not register more.

The "Total Tournaments" will register the max you want... So if you want to play a session of 16 tournaments, set it as 16...

The Keep Tables Open at a time will be the max that you want open at a time...

That should do it?

Sorry, but I'm still really confused. Let's break it down so that I can understand it. There are 3 things to choose in the first section:

Target Number
Max Per Cycle
Seconds Between Cycle

If I want to play 10 tables all at the same time and then finish the session, then I should enter 10 as the target number. That part I get. But I'm not too clear on the 'cycles'. In the example above I was playing 1-table SNGs which can be registered for 10 at once, but what if I want to play 2-table SNGs, which can only be registered to one at a time in the lobby? If I understood your message correctly, then I need to decide how often a new one appears in the lobby (let's say every 60sec) and then set the cycle to (60sec * 10 = 600sec)? Please let me know if that is correct.

A further confusion for me is the 'max per cycle'. In the example above what actually constitutes a 'cycle'? Is a cycle the act of being registered to a tourney, or is it the process of being registered to all 10 tourneys?

The most likely usage for me will be to get up 30 2-table tourneys for 3 hours. In that case, I don't know what the target number of tourneys will be - should I just set the target number to 1000 or something, and then enter the 'Keep 30 open for 3 hours' in the bottom section?

By the way, I did sit and watch the instructional video, and also read through the TN website before I made any posts here. They really were not useful for understanding how this part of TN works. I think there should be better definitions for each selection criteria, to eliminate any confusion for the users.

Thanks again for the help!

Since your working on a single type of tournament these options seem redundant. They are designed to allow you to run multiple entries from the opener at the same time. The target number is per line which in this case is the only number. The "keep" number controls the entire Sensei. If I'm understanding you right you want 1 game open at a time for a total of 4. Try setting your target to 1, max per cycle to 1, and seconds per cycle to 20. Then set the Sensei to "Keep '1' tournament open for '4' total tournaments. Also make sure to check the box marked "enable sorting optimization".

That's not at all what I want. I want to play 30 tourneys at the same time for several hours. But I first want to understand how this software works. I still don't understand why the example in the first screenshot I posted didn't work.

EDIT: By the way, it is not useful to me (or anyone else reading this thread) for me to tell what I want to play, and for someone to tell me which numbers to enter to do that. Much better would be for someone to actually explain the 3 highlighted terms in my earlier post (target, cycle etc) and demonstrate how they actually function.

With the Cycle thing.

For example. If you are trying to play 1 specific tourney type, that has 1 tournament starting every 2 minutes, and only allows you to register for 1 at a time... If you set your cycle every 60 seconds and 4 at a time, it will try to register you 4 different times for the same tournament even though you are already registered and there is only one to register for...

So depending on the game you are trying to register for, you should really set your cycle / amount at a time options appropriate for that game.

Thanks SJ, I will make sure to set it like that for the 2-Table tourneys. But in the screenshot I posted before, I was playing 1-table SNG which can be registered to concurrently.

Ok, here is what I am going to try next:

NB: These SNGs are the type which have only one tourney registering in the lobby at any time.
This is what I am hoping to do: Register, as soon as possible, to 30 2-Table tourneys, and keep 30 tourneys up for a total of 2 hours.

Can you let me know if I have selected the correct parameters to do this?

These SNGs start around every 20sec, but I have set the seconds between cycle at 30sec to be safe. What would happen if it took more than 30sec to get one started? I know that TN would try to register me to the same tourney, but what would be the result of that? Would it mean I only get up 29 tourneys instead of 30? Would it cause TN to crash?

Thanks again for the advice.

How you are set up in that screen shot, you will register a max of 30 tables at a time yes..

If it takes more than 30 seconds for one to get started, it will unregister and register you again really quick, not a big deal really.

it will keep reging you for 2 hours reguardless of how many you play... if you want to limit your self to a total number of tournaments you could do that as well..

but for what you want to do those settings look correct.

Hey guys,

There was a major PokerStars update this morning that changed a number of things. We're working on an update and hope to have it out ASAP but we have no ETA yet. In the mean time the SNGO, lobby hotkeys, time bank, and a few other features may not work properly.

I'm sorry for any inconvenience, we'll get an update as as soon as we possibly can.

Thanks,

Tarath

PS: Fool should also be around to answer any unanswered tech support questions from last night very soon .
