There is no known problem for this and I use a logitech mouse on my computer every day so I doubt the mouse is the problem. It is possible that if you are using some logitech software with your mouse that there might be a conflict (I've never heard of this happening but its possible).

If you want help with this if you can email me your TNLog file and TNConfigAutoLoad file from your TableNinja install directory I'll try and help you.

I've never encountered a problem list this so I'm not sure how easy it will be to fix.

What you're describing does sound like a memory issue. Are you using the frames on TableNinja? Turning them off will reduce TableNinja's memory usage significantly although it never uses much compared to HEM/Stars.

When you view the task manager what % of RAM is being used?

I just downloaded tableninja and I'm shocked that I haven't found it earlier lol. I especially like the auto-register feature SNGs. One thing that I noticed:

I use my tables in a stacked layout like recommended in the tutorial video. Once tableninja registers me for new SNGs, the focus is taken away from the stack .. so when I now click a hotkey for folding, it just sits there with no action. I either have to wait for the next table to require action and therefore focusing the stack again or use one of the cycling hotkeys to also give the stack it's focus back

Is there any solution / workaround to this?

i have a problem with the sit'n'go opener.
it wont decrement the currently-registred counter when a table is closed.
so it wont open new ones.
even when i closed pokerstars there is still currently registred = total registered.

i use windows 7 (if that helps you)

Glad you like the program, tell your friends

Unfortunately, PokerStars pops up all new tournaments and we cannot really stop them from doing so. To handle this issue I strongly recommend using the "Cycle to first in line table" hotkey from the table control tab. This will instantly jump you to the next table awaiting action so you don't have to waste any time looking around for it when a new table pops up.

Generally this means that TableNinja is not finding one of the files it needs in your PokerStars folder. Can you go to the main PokerStars lobby, click Help -> Open My Settings Folder and make sure that the folder it opens is the same as the folder you have set as your "PokerStars Install Directory" on the setup tab.

That should fix things.

Thanks

Tableninja makes stars tables really sluggish to popup for me and I have frames disabled. I'm using hem which runs fine when I 20 table stack, but with tn open it's really slow. I have opacity and everything in hem hud setup optimally, and I'm using windows classic/basic mode in win7. I'm basically just using tn to open reg sngs and I have everything else disabled.

Sorry you're having trouble with this, I'll definitely do my best to help you. Can you please send me the following information at support@alxsoftware.com?

1) Your TNLog file and TNConfigAutoLoad file from your TableNinja install directory
2) A screen shot of your tables

Thanks

It would be cool if we could use the same hotkey to fold and check the fold or check/fold checkbox.

If you are using the "Table Under Mouse" or "Manually Cycled/Clicked" table control mode the AA C/F hotkey will also check or fold if used on your turn.

In other Table Control modes we disable to protect you from misclicks as explained below:

Q: Why doesn't the advanced action Check/Fold hotkey click check or fold when I use it on my turn when I use the Table In Foreground option?

A: We used to have the AA Check/Fold click the check or fold buttons if they appeared and the check/fold checkbox if they did not. The problem is that in the "Table in Foreground" method if you hit the AA check/fold hotkey right as a second table suddenly needed action, PokerStars® would put the second table into the foreground and you would accidently fold at that table. Obviously accidently folding a big hand is a huge problem so we made all the advanced action hotkeys not work on your turn under the Table In Foreground method.

Hopefully this makes sense, thanks

Thanks for the answer, solved it

there is one more question:
what is the difference between the "keep x tournaments open for..." and the sum of the target numbers?
or what i need to know: what happens if x < sum and what happens if x > sum?

you can also us the "click check on checking is free popup" option. I just hit my fold hotkey and when there is no bet so far, pokerstars informs me that checking is free and tableninja clicks "check" for me. so with one hotkey I'm basically checking if it's free and folding if there is already a bet out.

Don't use frames no. Well I don't really know cos I didn't check the ram usage at that time but even when using multiple programs I've never seen it use more than 1mb at once. I sometimes think uprated graphics cards may make a gigantic difference, do you think? I'm presuming you'd know bout computers as you're a software expert.

By having the sum not equal to x you can do some complex things that are not possible just with the target numbers.

TableNinja will never open a number of tournaments that exceeds the sum, nor will it ever open a number that exceeds x. If x is greater than the sum, this will do nothing.

However, if x is less than the sum, you can set things up so that TableNinja registers for as many tournaments of type 1 as possible, and then fills you up to x with tournaments of type 2.

For example if I want to 8 table and I really want to play type 1 tournaments but I don't mind playing type 2 tournaments I can set both my target #s to 8 (so sum = 16) and I can also set x to 8.

Then TableNinja will try to register for 8 type 1 tournaments, but if it only finds 6 it will register for 6 and then register for 2 type 2 tournaments.

Hopefully this makes sense

Are you in XP or Vista? In Vista there is no doubt that upgrading your graphics card is the best plan if you do not have a nice one.

In XP things are less clear, but that is still a good option and is probably your best choice. XP does not allow windows to offload as many actions to the graphics card so having a nice one doesn't make as big a difference as it does on Vista.

Hope this helps,

Unfortunately it is against the PokerStars terms of service for us to accept payment through Pokerstars transfer and they are very strict about this.

I'm sorry,

I am thinking about buying PokerNinja. I am a Sit N Go Multitabler on my laptop (without a num pad), is it the best software I can buy at the moment. Im not that great with computers so it has to be simple. If PokerNinja is not the best program for me what programs would it be good to have. Thanks for giving me an answer every1 !

opening salvo: I love the product, won't play without it anymore. All in all I'm very satisfied.

pings on features and bugs:
  • I mentioned a seat changing bug a while back but didn't notice a response (I may have missed it). Essentially, the autobuyin feature chokes when I change seats on a table where my stack is bigger than the maximum allowed. The work around is to disable auto (re)buy-in while changing seats (ugh).
  • Give me a "fold, even if checking is free" button! Sometimes I'd rather just fold the river than show my cards.

I see the FT version is out. I look forward to giving FT a try sometime soon!

I personally think you would love tableninja. Its a awesome program and I am very happy I have it, well worth the money. The auto sng opener works well and the whole package makes things very easy.

TN probably performs better than AHKs but I bought it because it was wonderfully simple to configure compared to AHKs (auto-hot-keys -- the free alternative). As far as I know, TN is by far the best product of this type available.

Do you have the "Adjust to same session minimum" box checked?

It's on the opening/closing tab and should keep that bug from happening.

The time bank clicker will work at fixed limit (and on all the tables in your stack if you stack) in all operating systems etc

I think I suggested using the "Adjust to Same Session Minimum" option in the auto buy in section which I believe should fix the first problem (auto buy-in failing when you have to many chips). If you have this on and its not working let me know. We analyzed a "switch seat" function and this is just not feasible, I'm sorry.

For the second request this is on our list but we try to prioritize things by how many people want them and you're the only person to ever request this so to be completely honest is a bit far down on the list. I know this is a bit frustrating but we get far more feature requests than we could ever grant so we try to prioritize them by demand.

Thanks for the positive review

Now I feel even worse that we have not given you your fold for free option...

This is the "fold, even if checking is free" option. If other folks want this, please speak up! If I'm really the only person who wants to fold the river when checking is free because I have 0.5% showdown equity and would rather not reveal my cards then by all means this feature should stay at the bottom of the list.

RE "change seat": I'm resigned to TN not implementing this. My gripe was that the existing auto-buyin was causing problems when I manually changed seats. I believe the setting I use is "always buy-in for 100% of the maximum" or some such (I'm not at home so I can't check). The next time I change seats and hit the problem I'll check what my settings are.

The "Adjust to same session minimum" option is designed to deal with exactly the situation you're describing so I am very hopeful that it will do exactly what you need
