Yeah something is wrong for sure - it doesnt wait for the rematch dialogue to finish - it seems to start registering right after the match is decided - you need to check that out.

Another thing - is Sharky in some way handeling the rematch dialogue? Ever since the update it seems i barely get rematch requests popping up....

Well, I tried to be really objective here and look at this from a neutral point of view ...

@deanster: Thanks for your support, but considering that this was the about the only thing you had to say in over four years - and your only other posts also criticized some commercial software - this one does not count as a vote in my favor.

@chadders: It is very easy to invalidate someone's arguments by simply calling him a moron. It is even more easy to do so if the reputation of the guy who's doing it (you) is much much higher than the one of his target (me).

I did not post this solely to cause trouble, it it simply my true feeling and I'm open for discussions. If you didn't have time to post counter-arguments because you were using your mobile phone, then why did you reply at all? You also could have sent me a PM asking me to talk about this - I would have stopped posting and waited for you to get back to me.

Congratulations, you just insulted a potential customer.

Some say this is the worst possible sin that could ever commit in the computer industry. And it would get you instantly fired in a lot of customer-oriented computer companies.

My personal opinion is that you just confirmed one of my thesis: that you treat your customers like your enemies.

It's a business model which could work as long as you're holding a monopoly - but as soon as an alternative is available, your customers may start running away.

Just look at it this way: You just lost a potential customer. Probably forever. As a matter of principle, I usually don't do business which folks who previously insulted me personally. And may others may feel the same.

Wake up kid, I don't want you any harm, you're not my enemy.

But you just don't know anything about business. Your customers guarantee your long-term success and survival in business - if you treat them like xxxx, then it's just a matter of time until you're going down.

Another very important lesson that you need to learn in business - and really listen to it:

You just don't deal with "difficult" customers like this. You especially don't do this without even attempting to talk to them.

If you felt offended by my post, then you should have either PM'ed me or clicked "Report Post" to let the mods deal with it. Both would have been ok. When unsure what to do, talk to a friend or PM a mod.

Under no circumstances should you ever personally insult one of your potential customers by calling him a moron - even if the guy clearly stated that he won't buy your software, you're selling to everyone - which means that I'm still in your target audience.

To summarize my primary critique points:
  1. The homepage of this product, http://sharkystrator.com/ does not display a price anywhere.
  2. The homepage of this product does not say anything about support, maximum reaction and down-times.
  3. The homepage of this product does not give any contact address.
  4. The author of this software is squeezing his customers for maximum profit while giving the bare minimum return.

Hi,

many thanks for developing this software...been using it for a couple of sessions now and it is quite helpful

Can confirm some probs after the last update as well...namely I randomly get 3 instead of 2 registrations.
Secondly, the new "set/bet %age of Pot" box get unticked as soon as Sharky is activated...this is obv annoying as uneven bets of say 32 into 80 are not possible anymore using hotkeys...

Would be great if u could have a look at this, thanks in advance...

Has anyone problem with "No Valid Tournaments Found..."(I'm almost sure I set settings in correct way) ? I can't register to any game, my friends sad me everything was fine on their computers. Thanks for reply.

Issues with new .eu client that you mention are known and will be addressed with the next update.

I saw another post about this, but I got an error which makes sharky not regging anything. After todays pokerstars update sharky gives the error after starting: #tourney number is already taken or unreachable...

Ok, to say few things about problems with PS lately

Rematch issue seems to be handled by PS themselves, so there wont be need to fix that(thanks PS).

"Unreachable tournament" was server issue and that was fixed just recently.

There are still problems with PS updating their clients on most of sites right now so that will take a bit to stabilize, new patch is made at this momment for latest PS client versions and if all goes well will be done tonight.

Some people might be running PS version that works with Sharkystrator atm and some may update to new one which wont work.

beyond me, the website is not only place to answer your questions or the part of software - its promotional tool and is mainly used to help you started with software itself at this momment, there is also email(sales@sharkystrator.com), skype:sharkystrator and software itself will show you exact price structure.

However, the new website is under work for some time now and will be available soon with more useful information, including price, hopefully that helps you.

can you definitively say whether or not some players are given priority for lobbies over others? i know that the queue is supposed to be far, but there are some complaints that a few players are constantly at the top of the queue

There are no people who are given unfair priority over others, this will never happen. The old ordered-fifo-queue is currently on hold until some issues are solved with it. Until this resolves some people might experience dificulties due to their delay/latency issues.

You will need to update PS(latest) to match Sharky version. I see you added me to skype so we can solve it there if you need further help

what does exactly "aggressive registering" means? There is no mention about it in manual since its written for older version. I assume its just renamed "Use turbo registration" which is mentioned and described in manual and i quote: "Use Turbo Registration - For anyone who likes it fast." Lol that didnt really helped

Hi, i just recently downloaded your software and wanted to try it before buying, so i signed up for my 7 days trial, but there has been nothing but trouble with the software since day 1.

First 3 days i had that "unreachable" error like many other people, then you finished your update and it fixed that, but now sharky just doesnt sit any lobbies, i can see there are empty lobbies that i told it to sit, but it just says "seaching", not sitting any(i have followed all instructions, and it sat a few games the first day, before PS update, havent changed anything since).

I have you on skype but you are not the easiest man to get in touch with to be honest(if you have some prefered buisness hours, could you maybe state them somewhere?).

I understand i might have hit a rough spot for you, starting right upon a PS update, but now my trial is almost over and i havent really tried your software.
So is it possible you could help me fix my problems and let me have a trial period with the software actually working?


Hoping for your help and understanding.

Turbo registration was something else, it just made registering faster so there wasnt really much to explain there, people who need to register faster would know if they want to use it and if they dont. Aggressive registering is a much faster way to get empty lobbies but it comes with a risk of sitting a person who does that manually, you basically just tell pokerstars to sit next empty lobby during scan.

PS update accompanied with a server issue(unreachable) was solved during one day actually.

The bad side of those updates is that PS sometimes wont even trigger the update on some clients(unless you force it with redownload/reinstall), some people will launch PS through folder so they dont update(which disables their mods), some people will revert to backups so they can use another software which is still not updated for newest PS, i could go on but if you really experienced those issues as you did then contact me on skype again and let me know its you and i will prolong your trial for 7 more days.

Having almost the same prob like "Areyoucrazy"

It tilts me so bad. I followed youtube vids, manual, but it doesnt work. It says it is scanning lobbies, but doesnt open anything. Running on win7, trying to play HT HU. Thanks

Make sure you run Sharkystrator and PS with same access rights, meaning that both need to be either Admin or No-Admin. If this is not the case, your settings most likely are saved for the older PS(maybe you used .com before with the downloaded trial and now you play .eu)

If you cant go around it, add me to skype:sharkystrator.
