Today we present you the update of the pre-flop version. If you have not downloaded it yet then you need to upgrade the program following these instructions:
1. Launch Simple Postflop
2. Go to menu 'File -> Update'
3. Replace existing link with 'http://simplepostflop.com/preflop_x64/'
4. Restart and update the program

The new version includes functionality for calculating preflop trees on a subset of weighted flops that can significantly reduce calculation cost.


You could use proposed subsets of flops or builded by yourself.
Subsets functionality also operates in the flops aggregation menu.

Subsets could be created in the text format in the 'FlopSebset' folder.

Yes, I think it is the standart one. Hovewer, there exists some more non-standart situations.

We've already added one more but haven't released new version yet.

Standalone License version is only for the calculations on your PC (local calculations), while Cloud License is only for remote calculations.

Yes, u could build Limit Holdem game tree and solve it. However, limit game trees are quite large.

It is completed already and is under testing by some of our users. The release of this functionality will be in a couple of days.

I want to present you the update of preflop repository ( File -> Update: http://simplepostflop.com/preflop_x64/ ), which precedes release of Simple Postflop v1.08

In the update of repository:
1. Possible to run preflop trees locally (on subsets too). This functionality is free for the owners of Standalone license.

2. For preflop computations 3 types of strategy tree compression in the RAM added: in 2, 3 & 4 times. Using compression could reduce the speed of calculation and may decrease fractionally achievable accuracy of the calculation in some cases (the minimum attainable Nash Distance)

3. Now, it is possible to add up to 5 actions per tree node. In the bet-sizings menu added 3rd sizings options (this functionality currently available only for Standalone users).

4. A lot of minor changes which will be described later, during the release of v1.08

What kind of system requirements does this have?

The best processor for our solver is intel core i7.
For working with preflop i'd recommend to have minimum 32GB RAM. More RAM you have more complex trees you could run. However, it is impossible to solve complex trees (e.g. trees which includes all flops) locally. We offer cloud service for the complex trees. U could build necessary tree, click 'Send' and see how much preflop points u need to pay for that. Preflop points are offered on our site (http://simplepostflop.com/en) in the 'Buy' section.

Are you going to be selling individual points rather than in bulk in the near future?

Will you be adding functionality to solve preflop spots where say BTN opens (fixed range) and it folds to BB? Also the ability to add extra chips to the pot (or have a multiplier for the ante so we can solve 6max/full ring spots like this with antes)

I'm not able to install the free version. It supposedly installs, but then the shortcut to the exe leads nowhere and the install folder only has a .dat file and an uninstall file. Also, the installation only lets me install to AppData\Roaming directory (I'm running Windows 7). If I change to Program Files (x86), those 2 files I mentioned get installed there, but the exe supposedly goes to Appdata\Roaming (which wouldn't be a problem, except it doesn't exist there either).

It is possible to do it now. You could define input ranges for preflop tree (fix them)
You could add dead chips via ante functionality.

I don't understand how to use the ante functionality to add dead chips to a spot like this. For example I want to model an MTT full ring situation with antes where BTN min raises and folds to BB. There should be 2.4bbs in the pot before BTN min raises so I do this by setting ante to 1.4bb and BB=1; SB =0 (here I'm trying to use player 1 as BTN). When BB calls min raise the pot should be 5.4bbs but it shows as 6.8bbs (see screenshot below):



How can I setup this scenario here?

It's making both players post 1.4bb in antes (hence why the value is 1.4 greater than you expected).

So for your situation you need to set antes to 0.7 (now both players will post 0.7 each for 1.4bb in total antes) and increase the Eff. Stack to 25.7 (so their effective stack will be 25.0, after they 'post the antes')
