there is several points:
1. You could select level of abstraction
2. It depends on the tree complexity
3. You could build the tree in the free version of SPF and see how much it require to run calculation.

I think that it could be enough to have 8 GB RAM to solve HU spots for short stacks.

So whats the difference between SPH and SPF(preflop section) for solving hu spots?
In SPF obv is not possible to calculate spots preflop on my own comp because I need terabytes of RAM but this program makes it possible because of abstraction and all other things if I understand correctly?

Yes, you are right. SPH requires significantly less resources for preflop calculations due to usage of different abstractions.

This is example of tree that is solved in SPF (tipton tree that is available in our software for free to everyone) and SPH:

As you can see, ranges looks quite similar.

i suppose 16go is not enough for 100bb and wide range ? btn vs bb 6 max

You could build the tree in the free version of the program and see how much RAM it requires to be solved. 16 gb is minimal requirements, though the analogue solver that is less optimized claimes that the minimal required RAM is 8 gb.

Changelog:
1. Straddles are supported now. To generate tree with straddle click "Apply Straddle" in the dropdown list of the "Apply" button:

Straddle is put by the player following Big Blind position, straddle size = 2 BB.
2. In the header of the program the name of the opened file is displayed.
3. Now it is possible to view intermediate solution during the process of calculation ("Show" button).
4. Now it is possible to set calculation on pause and then resume it (buttons Pause/Resume)
5. During the calculation, the current number of Iterations / Nodes is displayed
6. It became possible to display bets not including ante in the tree, in this mode EV is also displayed withor ante. To change the display mode, right-click on the "Preflop" line in the tree and select the appropriate mode:

7. Implemented the opportunity to rebuild tree inside the selected node according to the given bet-sizings. In order to do this, you need to set new bet-sizings to players, right-click on the tree node and select the option "Rebuild Branch"
8. Now you can lock the strategy inside the selected tree node. In the betting tree right-click on the tree node and select the "Lock Inside Strategies" option.
9. When changing the scale, there is no problem with the size of the calculation configuration window
10. Improved calculations for multiway pots
11. Fixed bugs in the generation of trees for given bet-sizings, the generation process works more stable

I'm trying to open the sample flop Jd9s5s from the flop pack but it says error the file is not situation.

hey guys. i'm a long time poker player but just started looking in to solvers.. i'm mostly playing live cash games, but also some spin and gos. can i use simple preflop to find optimal open raise sizes for full ring NL?

How are you trying to do this? You need to go to the File -> Open menu to open tree. Could you send me the example of file?

The only thing you could do is to use many sizings in the tree and see what sizing chooses solution, or solve tree with different sizings and compare it's EV. Automatically solver can't find optimal betsizings, it could only solve optimal strategy for the defined tree.

We present to your attention a new version of Simple Preflop Holdem v1.04. When you start the program, it will prompt you to automatically upgrade to the latest version.

In the new version:
1. Added functionality of the "Jobs" - queue calculation
In the drop-down list of the button "Calculate" you can add a file to the "Input" folder.

To start Jobs calaculation, go to the menu File -> Jobs

"Edit Configuration" function allows you to set individual calculation settings per file.
2. Added the ability to Lock individual hands of the strategy in the "Edit Strategy" menu. To remove a lock from your hand, you must hold down the letter L (the English layout must be turned on) and righ-click with mouse on the hand. To apply a lock on a hand, you need to hold down the letter L and left-click on the hand. By default, when editing a strategy, a lock is imposed on all hands. All hands on which Lock is imposed are outlined in a yellow frame in the range editor.

3. Players EV calculation at the top level (if you click on the preflop line in the tree) is implemented by an improved method, it shows more accurate results.
4. Removed limitation of the value in the fixed bet size in the sizings menu.
5. Added the minimal bet size on a postflop (now the minimum bet = 1 BB)
6. Added the ability to generate more complex trees with straddles (4-way and 5-way pots that goes to the postflop). It also became possible to set the value of the straddle while generating the tree.

The player who puts the straddle is marked as STR:

7. Added the feature to automatically remove limps on the preflop when generating a tree.

8. Fixed errors that occurred when generating the tree + a number of other minor errors were fixed.

The Straddle seems to be set at 1bb . I have tried to change it but the window seems ot ignore the input from the keyboard and mouse. Tried in 3 different computers .
Any help on this please?

Aditionally what would be considered good settings to add for a preflop tree .
Ram is not a huge consideration as it will run on a server .

Would a Amd ryzen 5 be enough for Simple post flop ( post flop ) ?

Is there an easy way to convert Piosolver hand ranges to Simple Postflop? For example, I can copy and paste the following into Piosolver but SPF requires a different format if I'm not mistaken:
