All I said is a subscription model makes it less likely that the software gets abandoned as two tracking apps have been, and now a second one is going to a subscription model. PokerCruncher continuing to be supported doesn’t change that fact.

It’s fine that you don’t want to pay a subscription. You seem to be trying to convince me I’m wrong or something. I’ve owned two that got abandoned, and to me it’s worth it to pay an annual fee. It’s not to you. I get it.

I am merely fighting back the notion that it is ok to pay for something if it's a small amount, even if -EV. Isn't that what poker is all about, avoid -EV spots?

You're the one that kept on bringing up how "subscription" model is somehow the key to getting a simple software updated, the idea that developers will only update codes if people keep paying them, even though there should be a commitment for those who paid for the app to keep it simply working.

No one is asking for new features, just existing features updated through newer iOS.

Every time you bring up subscription model for no apparent reason other than to promote the idea, I'll post a response.

I guess you missed the part where I said, "I don't expect everyone else to feel the same."

Whereas you say, "I am merely fighting back the notion that it is ok to pay for something if it's a small amount". Of course it's okay to pay for something if it's of value to you. It is to me. It isn't to you. It's not you vs. me. And I don't keep bringing it up. Since you said I keep bringing it up for no apparent reason, so here's the actual history:

- I pointed it out once. You said it was crazy, so I just explained why it was worth it to me. I didn't respond after you explained again why it's not of value to you.
- Someone posted that RunGood tweeted about releasing an update. Then I noted that they tweeted that they also reached the same conclusion regarding a subscription. I would think people in this thread would want to know it's going to be a subscription.

If that's bringing it up for no apparent reason in your mind then fine.

Edit: Oh, and a week goes by and you brought up the PokerCruncher thing with a quote of a phrase I used. So I guess that's me bringing it up again. Sorry for making you post that. Or maybe you think pokeraph's post was mine. He/she is a different person.

If you don't want to pay for a sub, don't pay for it. But it's not worth the time for developers to make an app that people pay a small amount for once and then have to support them indefinitely. That's the reality of the app business.

Make your own app or just make an excel spreadsheet that tracks all the info you need. It's not that hard to do it yourself.

I've had the same issues with Run Good.

I am now using Track My Poker. First 5 sessions free, then 8.49 without any annual subscription. Its very simple without all the unnecessary widgets. IoS and Android links below.

I just tried to open on the app on my iPhone to realized it was offloaded. I now see it is no longer supported. My records for the last several years is all on there & my last backup unfortunately was in 2017. Please tell me there is still a way to retrieve my data??? Would really appreciate any help here as I have no other way to access my record keeping. Thank you.

After updating to IOS 17.1.1 I am no longer able to input any sessions into rungood1 as the app just exits whenever I am trying to end a session or add a result. Is this a known issue with the new Iphone IOS?
I am also not able to change the filters in my results as the app also exits as soon as i hit the filter button in the upper right so not only am i not able to add new results but i am not able to check my results from over 4 years of play as the filter is stuck on my last month's play only!!
Can anything be done to fix this?

Otherwise what is the best app to export RunGood data to. Is "poker results" the best one?
Any updates on the development of Rungood2?

At least you can open the app. I just got a new iPhone and since RunGood is no longer available on the App Store, it won't install on my new phone, even after doing an initial phone to phone transfer. Trying all sorts of hacks and 3rd party tools to get it loaded onto the new phone but iOS security has tightened up considerably over the years, so loading an app onto the new phone that isn't available on the App Store might very well be impossible without a complex jailbreak, risking bricking the phone.

Still, I won't be erasing and selling my old phone until I'm completely sure I'm out of options, and have at least backed up the data ready for export into another product. Shame, I was using RunGood religiously for many years. All my data is in there, hundreds of sessions.

If anyone has any ideas, please advise!

well i am able to open the app but i might as well not be able to as i am not able to input any new sessions or even filter my existing data or look at all of my sessions! My cumulative profit though seems to be accurate so all the data should still be there.
The latest tweet on their twitter account (@RunGoodApp) mentions doing an offload to fix some issue but one should be able to reinstall the app which is no longer in the app store so i don't think its a viable solution.
I have started using "poker income" since I haven't been able to input sessions into Rungood. Are you aware if Rungood data can be imported into that app?
its been suggested on twitter that the "poker results" app has built in import from Rungood but that seems to be a subscription based app.

They promised Rungood2 on twitter years ago but it hasn't been released yet and there hasn't been any recent updates on its development.

Did you ever find a way to get your data?
