No, I have an iPhone 6, which can't run iOS 13.

that's exactly the version i have . results have the last digit chopped . seems like things should be back to normal in 13.2 though. anybody else tried it out? somebody suggested app doesnt work at all with 13.2 beta but now my next available update is 13.2.3.

Just curious...was this due to your phone losing its data, or was it more like the Poker Analytics data becoming corrupt?

In any case, it's a good reminder to us all to export our data regularly.

It’s still chopped in 13.2.3.. it’s not that big of a deal since you can still click on the session and see everything but just annoying

I paid for Poker Journal and RunGood, both went kaput.

If I were you, I would go with something like Google Form. It is easily customizable and it does essentially everything you'll need, which are basically just recording location, buy-ins and cash-outs, and ultimately timestamping each event.

Average, breakdown, and all those filters can be done easily through pivot table as well.

so poker analytics is not a very good alternative. any 3rd recommended option ?

@ L00t yes all in all its not a great as one can still see the full result for any single session as well as stats for several filtered sessions.

I wouldn't make that generalization based on one person having a bad experience. Seems fine to me so far. Their support is very responsive, and their subscription model makes it much more likely that it won't be abandoned like these other apps have been.

Subscription model is crazy for a poker tracking app...

I suppose each to his own.

You see what happens with tracking apps that charge a one-time fee. They don't have the ongoing revenue to make it worth their while to keep up with all the iOS updates, so they get abandoned.

Apps like poker tracking apps serve a niche market. They don't have the same revenue from one-time purchases like apps that have a much wider audience. $30 a year is a drop in the bucket and is worth it to me when the alternative is an app whose support disappears without notice. I suppose keeping it on a spreadsheet is a free alternative, but I like the convenience and built-in reporting of a good tracking app on my phone. I don't expect everyone else to feel the same.

I am not happy that my $17.99 or whatever RunGood cost went kaput, but I used it for 3+ years. Poker Journal was around the same price and it was good for 4 - 5 years.

On average, I paid probably around $5 a year for a tracking app.

6x that price for a simple tracker per year? I would rather hop into another app for $20.

Again like I said, to each his own.

so one needs to subscribe before importing any data ? 30$/year is the minimum for unlimited sessions ?

once i have emailed the csv file from rungood how do i import it to poker analytics ? do i need to email it to their support?
RunGood Quote

I ran into problems when I tried importing it before I subscribed, but it imported fine after wiping it and subscribing first. Yes, at least as of a couple months ago, you need to email your CSV file to PA support.

RunGood is working just fine except the cropped numbers goof up so why does anyone want to stop using it just because their developers went out of sight?
RunGood Quote

Because it could die at any time causing loss of data. Abandoned software is a ticking time bomb. Not saying you should make the same decision. Just answering your question by explaining my decision.

Because willingness to essentially "re-buy" the same app every year for $30 is good enough guarantee to some that the app will continue to work after each iOS.

RunGood lasted at least 5 years if we count from start of this thread.

Perhaps this other app will not have lame bug like cropped number after 5 years if each user is willing to pay $150 for the app. Commit $30 a year and cross your fingers.

If you look at his twitter account he’s working on a new version of RunGood.

And notice that it will be a subscription model as they too have concluded that a one-time purchase business model is not sustainable for this type of software.

I use Poker Analytics. They have a subscription model. $30 a year. It sounds like a lot but for $2.50 a month it's worth it.

Yeah. They all do that nowadays. I understand but I use this RUnGodd app for this very reason : it is lifetime.

Also , I felt Fu***d when poker analytics became yearly (dropping support for the version i had paid 30$!!).
And anyway they lost 2 years datas with their back-ups system (now different I think). So **** them ---french copatriots----anyway.

Any simple app can analyze your stats. I don't go too deep into stats analysis. So I don't believe a yearly back up is necessary .

But if you guys look for a good yearly app check "Poker Bankroll Tracker".
All the classics stuff, and the very nice possibility to enter hands (in tourneys or CG). Unlike other apps, it draws a graph of your stack size.
I used it for a while and loved being able to analyze my tournaments with stack size (and few notes by myself explainning to futur me, the how & why of the stack size).
Also have community possibility (with friends) , geostuff, and staking options (much appreciated to calculate profits). Really nicely thought. I only don't use it anymore because i rarely play poker now.

Free trial, ofc.

Cheers,

What exact is "this type" of software?

PokerCruncher: https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/1...uncher-429410/ has been a one-time cost application for 10+ years and it is far more difficult to update than a simple tracking software.
