In your video you have all options ticked on the flop hand strength tab - if you only tick top pair, you still get all the same cells being highlighted green.

(hope you had a good holiday!)

you're right, this is a little bit weired.

This is based on history, the background is the following: If a combo is selected and you click on it, then the combo should be deselected. Unfortunately the same happens if you select only selected suits.

Because of different cases of selecting (direct click, moving the mouse, subgroups etc.), i have to think deeper about it. But i'm pretty sure to find a good solution.

Hi ... the user-friendly way imho is just like it is in the "normal" Equilab version, there it works just as one would expect:

1) I have some preflop range:

2) I click on "Suit selection" and then from that range, select the hands which I will specify the suits of (in this example, all off-suit ace of hearts):

3) Click on "Suit selection once more, and voilà - the offsuit heart aces are in the range, all other off-suit aces gone

Would you see any reason to not implement it in the "Power" version just the same way as in the free version?

I just wanted to add my 2 cents about this product: This is, by far, the best equity calculator on the market. Commecial, open source, or free. Hands down. It will do anything and everything every other product will do, plus some. It's integration into the web and ability to basically copy/paste any information or photo is just fantastic. There are numerous other pieces of software like this on the market but as said, none of them do everything Power Equilab does and there's things Power Equilab does that the others don't. This is the total package.

Even PokerRanger?

I am in between the two and the flat cost of PokerRanger is a bit more attractive than the subscription based cost of this. In addition, PokerRanger has a analysis feature similar to CardRunnersEV. (Not sure if PowerEquilab has anything like this, so if it does, that would certainly make the decision harder.)

Thanks for any feedback as I'm looking to make the purchase of one of these within the next few days.

Oh, don't even consider PokerRanger. Believe me, I went through all of these programs with a fine tooth comb and the flat rate of $79 basically makes PokerRanger the most expensive equity calculator on the market. For that price, I can assure you, you are getting an inferior product to Power Equilab.

Go look at the PR thread. They've been talking about PR2 for over a year and PR itself is just not anywhere near as used as PE is at this point. The way PE integrates itself into the web and allows just about any text or screenshot to be copy/pasted to any site or forum, pretty much makes it the standard in poker software today.

I don't know specifically which analysis feature you're referring to but once again, there is no question here that PE does much more, and faster, than PR.

Liking the software so far.

Minor bug: when I click a range, and then click a color-grouped range, often the part of the PE window near where I clicked disappears and I see whatever was behind the window (ie my desktop background). When I move the window, that image stays stuck to the window, so the only way to get rid of it is to minimize and restore the window.

I think the glitch only happens when clicking from an ungrouped matrix to a grouped one. Sometimes it only happens when clicking to a specific group number, e.g. for one of my ranges just now, the glitch was happening 100% of the time when clicking Group 9.

I'm running version 1.10.19.0 on Windows 7 64-bit.

on the Grouping options tab, and the sub tab "Hand Strength" - would it be possible to have an "OR" button included so that I can have top pair+, or flush draw or OESD, rather than having to go though each step 3 times?

Whenever I try to run the software, it gets stuck on the "Try to connect to the license server ..." page and then it stops responding and crashes. I'm running it on a virtual machine on my Mac and it was working fine until today. I tried restarting my computer but it doesn't help.

Hi

Once I have made my flop raising range

https://gyazo.com/51ee038c156ea1ef9594a0182be29baf

I want group 2 to be my flop calling range. When I click group 2 and then for example choose one pair or better, it overwrites the one pair or better from my raising range, how do I make it so that it just chooses from the remaining combos that are not in my raising range?

Thanks

Hi Ihooper88,

you can use a little trick ...
- choose group 2
- click "Select remainder" -> All unused combos will be selected into group 2
- select "One pair" and "or better"
- select "Combine (logical and) -> only combos that are already selected in the current group will be taken into account
- press "Go"

hope this helps

best regards, nopi

What am I looking at here? I have VPIP set at ~38 and PFR set at ~24. When I increase PFR, more hands are taken out of the range. Are we saying that the hands which get taken out of the range are hands he would 3b with and the hands left in the matrix are hands he would flat with?

Can I use it while playing on Stars?

I've been able to using standard version ( free normal Equilab), but not sure if this works?

Hi daithianseo,

you do not need to delete the old (PokerStrategy) version.
Unfortunately sometimes the desktop icon is not visible after the installation.
You can start the Power-Equilab directly in the folder "c:\Program Files (x86)\Power-Equilab\.." by clicking the "Power-Equilab.exe".
Of course you can create an desktop icon for your own.

Hi, I started using the trial version a few days ago, wanted to try out something simple but I could not make it work.

Maybe you can tell me what I'm doing wrong. When I'm using the Heatmap to see which combos are best/worst against a certain range PowerEquilab doesn't separate the suited combos by suit but in the matrix I only see average equities. Is there a way to see the matrix with the equities of the best singular combinations?

Thanks

I'm posting an example in a screenshot:

Hi TurdDimension,

you're right, this definitly not correct and has to be solved by us.
Unfortunately (or fortunately for us ) we are in our summer holidays, so the solution will take some time.
We hope you understand that.

Hey nopi,

Not sure if this has been answered before but how did you come up with the "Strategically Distinct Flops" in the Multiple Flop Equities tool? Any mathematical formula or just by gut kind of thing?

Also, is there a way to add Playability Equity for this tool please? I think that would be a great feature to have. I guess it would take the results twice as long but would still be useful for some.

Enjoy your summer!

These set of flops are inspired by PIOSolver.
