Hi, what exactly does "equity offset" and "percentage of equity realization" mean ... i.e. how exactly are those values calculated ?

Oh, and: users who buy a license (lifetime) - on how many computers can Power Equilab be used ?

"Equity offset" discribes an offset between the equity (calculated by Power-Equilab or an other equity calculator) and the "expected equity", which was manually generated by big database. There is an interesting (unfortunatally german) thread on pokerstrategy: http://de.pokerstrategy.com/forum/th...threadid=42351

"percentage of equity realization" means the same value, but converted to an percentage value. If is highliy recommended to thing about theses value before use.

Thank you. There, it says: "During the payment process, you have to enter the Machine-Code of your computer."

I already purchased (lifetime), and could activate, like described above, during the payment process. How do I activate the program on the second computer now (without the payment process) ?

I just bought this without even using the trial. I've used the original Equilab and indeed, this is the best overall poker software on the market.

No brainer.

I wrote a lot about how Equilab basically did everything all of the other software on the market does but for free. I guess this was about a year + ago. Now, with Power Equilab, there is no need for anything else. I guess for super line analysis you would still look at CREV but other than that, Equilab does what everything else does and more. It also looks better than everything else. I still play with Flopzilla a little bit but...it's not really necessary anymore.

Very good stuff. Especially like how there's the option to purchase the software by paying monthly. Very convenient for micros grinders.

I'm guessing that a lot of people still don't even know about this product since it's still so new in the industry. Fact is, a lot of people are still using PokerStove and don't even know about Equilab lol. As I'm getting familiar with Power Equilab the last few days, this is a total must have for all online poker players. So fast, so easy, and yet so in depth and thorough. Being able to compare your own ranges against premade, user defined, or random ranges in the equity calculator is priceless.

As said: Flopzilla, Combonator, PokerRanger....none of them are necessary now. You have PokerRanger still charging $80 USD for itself and it's half the product that Power Equilab is.

That's the point: It does what all of them do in one software package and does it faster, easier, and with better visuals/more data screens.

There are extensive options for copying and pasting on forums, saving and sending as files, etc for all of the different charts, heat maps, range selectors, etc. Basically, you can easily (or more easily and in more ways than other software) just show people your screen no matter what you're working on in Equilab. It's extremely useful and will probably wind up being a mainstay among the community, imho.

The Power-Equilab offers (almost) all the functionality of these progs + some other great features:
- nested, hierarchical, grouped ranges with recursively weights to work with all subtools
- weights with up to ten decimals to cooperate with common GTO-tools like PIOSolver and GTO-RB etc.
- every subtool (handrange calculator, equity graphs, heatmap, scenario analyser, etc. etc.) works not only HU, but also up to against ten ranges.
- etc. etc. etc.

For a brief overview of the functionality, feel free to check out the features-section of the Power-Equilab homepage. There you can find a comparison between the current available equity-calculation- and analysis-programs as well.

If you guys could expand upon the Poker Mathematics and Equity Trainer a bit more it would be amazing. I'm sure you have plans to dig deeper with these two tools but the direction you're going in so far is fantastic.

Hi GreenBliss420,

a small update to version 1.9.0.0 is out now.

- In the Equity-Trainer is now an option to select heros range from hierarchical grouped and/or weighted ranges
- Option to practice with different flop structures (all, 12, 25, 49, 74 or 95 different flop structures).
- Easy graphical selection of the required flop-structure:
- Customizable “card distance” to selected flop structure:
- Cheaters now have the option to “Skip” unwanted questions

have fun .. and feel free to tell us further suggestions

best regards, nopi

Wasn´t convinced of PEq when it first came out, but indeed you have overtaken PokerRanger by now!

A small feature request: It´d be nice to see the matrix of a range in that popup window (where range distribution is shown atm), when you hover over the range text field in the main window.

Nice idea

Therefore another small update to version 1.9.1.0 is out now.

The tooltips in the mainwindow now contains the cardmatrix:

Of course the selected colors will be considered:

Percentages of suits and/or weights will be display accordingly:

Behind every row, you can find the frequence of the accordingly card in the range:

Oh wow that was fast, thanks a lot!

Another small request:
Could you implement an option that when I click on one of my ranges in the "Predefined hand ranges" Tab, it automatically shows the group colors?
At the moment I have to open a Range group and click on a color group to see the colors in the matrix. Kinda unhandy when you want to have a quick look at a given range ingame.

Hi xcEmUx,

there is a new miniupdate to Version 1.9.2.0 out now.

Handrange selection window: Ranges in tree with notes are marked with a litte stickie.

Handrange selection window: New option to select if the parent range or the first childrange is displayed when clicked.
This is very usefull while playing, because the user does not have to open the childrange separate.

About ^.

During my online poker career I've used almost every useful poker tool.
Over the years I've used flopzilla, combonator and PokerRanger for more ,swift, basic and agile analysis in partnership with more heavy beasts like CREV.
I was a bit dissapointed by the lack of support and development for the programs above (especially combonator and PR),
and after I got recommended to check out the PowerEquiLab, I was a bit skeptical to pay-off another tool in the subscription era of online poker.
In the trial, it didn't take long to see that PEQ has all the useful features that I've used in the other softwares, but also the developer himself was still actively developing the product and has an open mind for new features and even the smallest tweaks.

I will share the most useful features for me:
+ export/import ranges from Equilab - which saved me a lot of time redoing the ranges.
+ able to copy/paste ranges to PIOSolver - enables me to copy preflop ranges. Also enables me to make the analytical link from PEQ to PIO, to export and compare my manually designed ranges postflop to the theoretical models
+ basically every feature that I need to make a good manual analysis
+ very good scalability of the matrix grid, very nice visually
+ cool features like screenshot a range

And what I'd like to see in PEQ is the equity % of the different groups vs range in grouping options view tab. Now It takes much time to close the "Hand range selection" and recalc the equities for the subranges in the main windows. So I basically ignore it.

Overall, it's worth it and it's not even close.
