The idea being that Group 1 is my hands on the flop

Group 2 is on the turn.

At the moment the only way I can do this means that Group 2 overwrites hands that were in Group 1.
Hi Blunderer,

you're right, this was definitely a bug.
Please download the newest version 1.10.2.0.

... and take a look to the following gif:

Hope this solves your problem.

Next one - if instead of selecting a flop continuing range based on equity I use the 'flop hand strength distribution' tab, and I tick a few boxes eg one pair. how do I get that range to be the new range?

I think this may well be harder - but can I use this tab to make a new group too?

Hi Blunderer,

the "Flop hand strength distribution" - tab is only for information. Here you can see how often the given range hits the flop. F. e. a random range hits 29.58 % a "one pair", 36.99% "one pair or better" and 7.43% a OESD or a flushdraw.

This function calculates how often the given range will hit an undefined flop (averaged over all possible flops) similar to Flopzilla.

To select a subrange by handstrength you can use the "Hand strength" - tab in the "Grouping options". Here you have many options to select a subrange by handstrength.

Another way to select a subrange by handstrength is to use the "Hand strength distribution an hand range reduction" - window.

Hi,

Can we get an option to select multiple groups from the range? For example I divided entire range to calling, open raising, shoving and I want to select only open raising and shoving to the main window.

Unfortunately no. For now, the only way is to join the textual parts in an input field in the mainwindow.
But this is a good idea ... we'll think about it.

Thanks. It's the best software for working with ranges and this improvement and a few minor ones would be nuts

Now, you can add or substract ranges from the comboboxes in the mainwindow.
It can be usefull, f. e. if you like to calculate a raising-range and a calling-range together.
To add a range just press Ctrl while selecting a range in the opened combobox.

To substract a range just press Ctrl+Shift while selecting a range in the opened combobox.

This does not only works with the grouping-comboboxes at the left, this works with the history-comboboxes at the right as well.

Wow, that was a fast update

Here are few minor annoyances I've noticed:

- When you select now updated multiple groups in the main window and press the Hand range selection button it still shows entire parent range. It should show only selected hand ranges since we want to work with them specifically.

- Editing values in Playability editor was too slow for me since I wanted to change all values significantly (I edited them faster in exported .plb file, but it is still inconvenient). I would be nice to edit and enter entire value and not just use increase/decrease button which is slow.

Anyway, thanks for the great support.

hmm ... don't now, if i understand it correct.

If you select a (nested) subgroup in the handrange seelction window ...

and press OK, the desired range is shown in the mainwinow.

If you select another subrange in the mainwindow ...

and open the handrange selection window, the desired subrange is selected.

Do you mean something else?

At the moment you have two advanced options to adjsut the values:
1. Right click a cell to "drag" the value. The cursor changes to a "percentage cursor". Now you can drop this value to other cells with left click and/or mouse moving. Another right-click leaves this mode.
2. Pressing Ctrl while clicking a small arrow will increase or decrase all values in the matrix simultanously.

Do you have another idea to simplify the adaption of the values?

I don't suppose you could extend the training options to include testing ability to remember stored ranges?

Please download the newest version 1.10.4.0

"Grouped ranges which are changed by adding or substracting with other range-parts are opened in the handrange selection window as a new range."

I'm having an issue with the program freezing when I try to do a heat map preflop range v range analysis? What could be the issue? I think I have enough memory to run this stuff, what specs do I need? Flops analysis works fine fwiw.

Somehow I cannot figure out how to save the group coloring of a certain hand range.
I'd like to be able to save it to make the Predefined hand ranges tab display group coloring.

Hi Pavulon,

... hope that i understand you right.
It's very easy to define your own colored groups. Here is a brief sample:

1. Define a parent range:

2. Define subgroup 1:

3. Define subgroup 2 with group 1 as its parent:

4. Save this grouped range:

5. This range will appear in the tree with it's group colors.

6. Now, you can change the color for every single group (litte color button or right click on the group button):

7. If you save this range (overwrite the existing), the new color will be displayed in the tree:

8. Another way tho change the colors of groups is to assign a whole color grouping theme to a range:

hope this helps.

Hello Power-Equilab developers and users,

I wonder are there any good training materials that show examples using Power-Equilab software?

Thanks!

This is a good question. I think it would help users get more out of the software and spread the word about it's existence.

Why so little in this thread lately, though? The PokerRanger thread is quite active and up to date and yet I had to go back a couple of pages to find this in my subscriptions. I have and use Power Equilab but like the quoted above, think there should be more information and updates.

It is planned to provide a written manual with a couple of examples.

Believe me, I was in no way insinuating that PokerRanger was a better project or that the development team over there was more supportive or active. I was just pointing out that since you DO have a better project, you would think you would be advertising and spreading the word more. A lot of people who play still don't know about this product and with it's ridiculously affordable price tag, they should.
