is there any difference in HUD speed update (displaying time after opening new table, adjusting value of custom stats during session etc) when switching from standard SDD SATA III to PCI Express NVMe 3.0 x4 ? I have old laptop and often have small delay. Will change now for new and would like to know if difference between two type of SDD is significant?

Are your custom statistics using the database cache? If you are experiencing any delays in the HUD with cached data then I'd recommend sending us a log file in a Support Ticket so we can take a look at things before you make any major changes to your system:

hello, thank you for your answer. yes I have custom statistic. problem in general is that: a) it happen that HUD appearing in 3rd-4th hand (should appear in 2nd from what I know), b) stats refreshing not instantly and often with delay of few hands (like in HU I mr, villain fold but vpip still remain with same value in next hand).

what is concerning log file, thanks for offering help (will manage that later if needed), but for now, in fact, you do not answered my initial question. I would like to know if from perspective of using pt4 will I observe significant efficiency improvement if I change from standard SDD (on SATA interface) to SDD PCI Express with NVMe controller (read write speed is 6x faster here)? I going to change my laptop and would like to know if looking for different kind of SDD is something what is worth to focus on, or it does not matter that much?

do u have any filters on ur HUD? Like to filter last X weeks/hands for instance? and also how big is your active database?

Just got a new comp! Trying to get pokertracker going and this is my issue once pokertracker4 is installed and I am trying to create database!

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT4 DB
Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432

All good! Had to download manually, other issue though was downloading 10.0+ and directory.

So we can see what is happening here please enable logging, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us in a Support Ticket:

Moving from a HDD to a SSD will probably improve performance but this will not resolve the issue with your HUD as that is being caused by something else. I also couldn't say if any improvement would be significant enough for you as it's depends on some other other factors however sending us your log file will give us more information about your existing setup.

does PT4 work with PPPoker?

I accidentally uninstalled PokerTracker4 and when I go to re download it, it doesn’t fully install. I’m so confused as to how to get it back.

PPPoker is not supported by PokerTracker 4.
Can you please report this to us in a Support Ticket and let us know the details of any error messages you may be receiving.

If i delete all the files from the AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data folder BUT the ones that ends on .backup and i restart my PT4 will start as off my last session? I restore an old database as well as all the other files and it delete a lot of my current PT4 report filters and other configurations and would like those back...thoughts?

the cbet stats consider the last agrro action since pf. Eg.: Cb river (last raiser pf, b flop, b turn). PT4 have stats that consider just the current and the last street? Eg.: Bet river after bet turn or bet turn after bet flop.

There are no built in stats for that but you could do that with a custom statistic - see this guide for the basics on custom statistics creation and this guide for a deeper walkthrough. There may also be similar stats if you search the custom statistic forum or the Download Warehouse. If you need any further assistance then post what you have on our forums and we can give guidance on how to proceed.

Can you save you're database when you're unable to log into PT4 anymore?

Why are you not able to use PokerTracker 4? You could backup data via PGAdmin but if PostgreSQL is the reason PokerTracker 4 isn't starting then that may not be an option. PokerTracker 4 also moves your processed hand histories to your 'Processed' folder so if you need those you can get them from here:

C:\Users\SOME_NAME\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Processed

Hi,

A friend is sending me a tournament HH. On his end, he's seeing "743 hands saved to disk." He says if he opens the file, he can see the very last hand of the MTT (he won it) at the end of the text.
However, the txt file I'm receiving from him only contains 584 hands. He's tried sending it twice.
Any ideas?

There is a known issue when exporting hands by date so if that's what your friend is doing have them export by tournament(s) instead or they can export the hands directly from a report using the right-click menu. Alternatively they could send you copies of the original hand history file(s) from their 'Processed' folder which can be accessed via the 'File -> Open User Data Folder' option.

Another question is, how do you see stats adjusted for filters? I'm trying to review HU hands I've played this month, and I can only ever get a player's overall stats for all game types.
I can see Hero's session stat by unchecking "show hero lifetime stats" but I can't see anything in "options" that reduces V's stats to hands played in current session (or all hands played under current filter parameters).

You can filter HUD stats by cash stake, tourney stack size or last 'x' hands/weeks via 'HUD -> Edit HUD Options' or change to session stats by double-clicking on a HUD Profile but if you want to see this data using your report filters then that will need a custom report containing your HUD statistics.

Do you mean that you do not want to display your own HUD on the tables? If so does this also include hiding this data for all of the other players at the table?
