Hi Rob,

I downloaded Holdemresources Calculator. When I went to import hands from my Database, it wanted my Postgres username and password to get them. After checking my records and trying a couple things, I noticed I don't have my username or password for postgres. I looked online at some tutorials on how to reset it, but most of it went over my head given that I have no technical computing/software background.

Is there some way I can reinstall postgres without damaging my PT4 database?

The default user name and password are postgres and dbpass. If you go to Database > Database Management you will see the username for all databases is the same (postgres) and postgresql have 2 default passwords, one is dbpass and the other one is posgrespass, cheers.

NoteTracker uses the filter system in PokerTracker 4 to create notes and using these filters you can make very detailed notes - see this guide for further details. Also NoteCaddy, which is a third party note taking application, has also recently been made available to PokerTracker 4 users and you can learn more about that here.

Do not uninstall or change anything as you may end up losing poker data. As xPISCIVOROUSx says the default user for PostgreSQL is 'postgres' and if PokerTracker 4 installed PostgreSQL for you the default password is 'dbpass'. If Holdem Manager installed PostgreSQL for you then the password will be 'postgrespass' (not 'posgrespass' as mentioned above).

It was set to default pass. Thank you Rob.

Hello. What is your experience using PT4 with 2 GB RAM?
Is it possible to use? Small or big lag?

The minimum recommended RAM required for PokerTracker 4 is 3GB and while it may work for you with less than that there are other things that will affect performance. This includes the poker site(s) you play, the number of tables you play, size of database and what other programs/processes are running on your computer so I recommend closing all unrelated programs (web browser, music player, skype e.t.c.) before any poker session.

Hello. I'm having issues with PT4 while multi tabling. I'm playing from laptop and everything goes smooth when I have couple of tables opened but when I'm up to like 8, PT4 gets really slow not showing HUD on some tables and then it's all good again when I play less tables. Seems like this is a computer issue but I'm not sure. Would putting in an SSD help in this case? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Performance will depend on a variety of factors but if you enable logging, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us in a Support Ticket we can take a look at your setup and advise accordingly:

And even with 4gb of memory PT4 will suffer some small lags as the databases gets bigger and bigger specially if you have a 64bit OS installed on your PC because those require 2gb of memory leaving you with 2gb of memory available to run the rest but if you take into account, your internet browser, skype, antivirus or any of the softwares you might use while playing whatever if left for PT4 is way less than 2gb so i would recommend at least 8gb of memory.

What's the easiest way to exclude certain players (myself) from reports in "My Reports" tab?

Thanks.

To do that you can add a filter for 'NOT(Player is Hero)' in 'Hand Details -> Player is Hero'.

We should be able to resolve this by making a change to your PokerTracker 3 license. To facilitate this please restart PokerTracker 3 using the logging enabled link on your Start Menu, reproduce the registration issue and then attach your C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log file to a Support Ticket.

For 9 handed play EP is the first two positions and MP is the next 3 - see this guide for details.

Without further information I don't know what your exact situation is but if you are on a Windows machine try deleting the postmaster.pid file if it is present (not "postmaster.opts" which may be there too). You can find that file in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.3\data\ although you may have a different PostgreSQL version (e.g. 8.4, 9.0) or have it installed in C:\Program Files (x86). Once it's deleted, reboot and try starting PokerTracker 4 again. If that does not help then please report this to us in a Support Ticket with your log file:

You can do that in a custom report with the following expression filter:

NOT (player.player_name = 'name1' OR player.player_name = 'name2')

Replace 'name1' and 'name2' with the screen names you don't want to see and leave the single quotes - those are needed. You can also add additional ORs if you want to exclude the data for more than two players.

BB will always be 8 and SB will always be 9 from that point on just go backwards starting from the BU which will always be 0 with the exceptions of HU situations wich it will be the SB not the BU so, just start counting, CO is 1 HJ is 2 and so on.

How do I filter for times where villain opens 3.5 bb ?
If I understand correctly, this would change whether villain is the SB or "unopened".
Unopened he would make 3.5bb raise (2.5bb more), in the SB that's 3bb more.

im getting both of these hands with the filter: "Sizes calculated in big blinds preflop action faced with Size 2Bet preflop between 3.5 and 3.5"

2 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 315.23 BB
Hero (CO): 100 BB
BTN: 26.15 BB
SB: 116.08 BB
BB: 177.89 BB
UTG: 34.14 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q A

fold, MP raises to 3.5 BB, Hero raises to 12 BB, fold, fold, fold, MP calls 8.5 BB

1 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 143.81 BB
CO: 100.85 B
BTN: 83.03 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 208.85 BB (VPIP: 19.18, PFR: 11.17, 3Bet Preflop: 6.15, Hands: 966)
UTG: 116.44 BB (VPIP: 30.92, PFR: 23.19, 3Bet Preflop: 10.34, Hands: 1,442)

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 8 8

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to 4 BB, Hero raises to 12 BB, fold, BTN calls 8 BB

In the second hand villain raises to 4BB and you are in the SB having already invested 0.5BB so you are facing a raise of 4BB - 0.5BB = 3.5BB. This means if you want to filter for villains 3.5BB raises then you need to filter for facing a raise of 3BB when you are in the SB and 2.5BB when in the BB.

So I put AK in the filter because I want to replay the hands I played but for some reasons I can only see how much I lost and I can't review the hands. As you see the 'Hand for stake' column is empty.
