Everytime I restart pokertracker whether I closed it properly or not it acts as though it has crashed. It then wants to import a ton of hands, this process repeats and gets worse until I have to do site setup again which for a while was tolerable. On the last site setup it made me re import over 1 million hands which left me hudless for a day.

Any easy fixes to this?

Please open a Support Ticket and report your problem so that we can check your logs and see what is going on.

No, not yet - the development team are discussing it but I don't yet know whether it will be practical to support this. If cards change mid-hand that doesn't fit with out database model so we'll need to see what is actually possible.
Any one who is interested in this can open a Support Ticket to receive a notification if/when we add support, and more tickets would add more weight to the request too.

Holecards can indeed change mid-hand, there are also 9 more actions possible on each street (some in sequence before the next person gets to act).

Yes, I think all of that is going to make it impractical to support, but we'll see.

I was afraid you'd say that. Can I grab the logs at anytime or just when the issue is happening? I'm incredibly busy so having to reproduce the problem could be difficult.

Manually go through your poker site HH folders, and cut/paste the million hands to elsewhere (like a folder on your desktop, or whatever. Just out of the path that PT4 will search for new HH). 99% That'll fix it.

Quick question, hope this is an acceptable thread for it! Is there a way to configure the Hero’s HUD to where it displays my total stats, as opposed to the stats for that particular session/table? Thanks in advance!

does it mean that my HUD will filter stats for 1-6max and for 7-9max??(when i play 6max will show only stats from 1-6 players and when i play 8/9 max tables will show stats for min 7+ players at the table?)

If you go to "Configure -> Options", enable "Logging Enabled" and then restart PokerTracker 4 logging will always be taking place until you turn that option off again. Note that every time you restart PokerTracker 4 it will begin a new log so once you do run into any problem make sure to not restart PokerTracker 4 until you've copied/sent the log to us.

That isn't configurable and PokerTracker 4 only displays your session stats in the HUD at each table so you have an idea of how aggressive or passive people will see you since you sat at that table. You have no way to know which of your opponents are using trackers, and if they are how many hands they have on you, or which hands, so PokerTracker 4 shows statistics which indicate your current table image. If you want to see your lifetime stats for analysis purposes you do so in your reports or load up a hand (any hand) in the replayer and turn that option on via the 'Options' button. As you play more, though, you'll see your lifetime stats don't change much if at all but your image at each individual table may vary considerably depending on the cards you've been dealt or your opponents.

That is correct. When there are 1-6 players at your table then each players HUD will only display data for the hands they have played 1-6 handed.

Hey how do i go about finding population tendencies/how population plays given certain stats/%'s in my database?

I hear that i have to build an alias and then use filters somehow...?

If you go to 'My Reports -> New Report' and create an 'All Players Report' you can see data from all players combined. To do that remove the 'Player' stat from the report and then you will see data from all players combined and not broken down into rows for individual players. To remove the stat you can just double click on it under 'Report Stats'. You can then add the stats you want to the report by double clicking the ones you want under 'Available Stats'. Additionally if you add the following filter: NOT(Player is Hero) you'll see the data from villains only without your own stats mixed in.

I'm having issues with creating the report like when i double click and remove the "player stat" everything in the initial box goes away not sure what it's suppose to look like, is there a video on how to do this btw?

What's the best way to reinstall PT4 without having to fully recompose the DB?

Hey had quick question, if i have PT4 installed on one pc will all the data/hh/stuff etc. transfer over automatically if i use same key and install on new laptop?

Reinstalling PokerTracker 4 alone will not affect the database since that is stored in PostgreSQL but if you are going to reinstall that then you can backup your poker data and then restore it when things are reinstalled.

No that infomration will not transfer automatically. Your poker data is stored locally on your computers hard drive so if you want to transfer that infomration from one computer to another you can do so using the database backup & restore functions in PokerTracker 4. You can also use this to backup/restore your PokerTracker 4 settings such as custom HUD profiles, custom statistics and quick filters.

Help please, I'm having an issue restoring hh/files to a diff laptop/pc.

So i regged PT4 on a new laptop and downloaded my winrar file containing all hh/data from previous pc and did the restore and closed the window when the restore was at full green bar.

I don't see my player name listed or any of my hh in the view stats section even though i've restored everything.

Do you see your restored database under "Database -> Database Management"? It should be the one with the biggest size. If it is then you should make sure that it is set as the default/active database in PokerTracker 4.

No i actually don't see my restored database, but the thing is i can see my hh in the player poker section or w/e which is weird because that means it tech restored some of my data?

Also when it says the db is finished restoring i hit restore now or close?

Your report is being filtered so if you clear those filters do you see your hands? If not can you please send us your backup file in a Support Ticket. There is a 10MB limit on file size for attachments so if the backup file is larger you can upload the log file somewhere (e.g. Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive e.t.c.) and send us the link so we can download it. If you do not have any cloud storage then open the ticket anyway and we can then provide you with an alternative method for sending your backup file to us.

Like the main issue is when i choose to select a player i don't see my username for that site.

I was playing on ACR last night when my computer decided to crash on me mid-hand on about six different tables. After restarting the computer and re-booting PTR and ACR, I was luckily able to get back in time to stack one of my enemies for about 150 big blinds. This is significant because the hand in which this occurred seems to have never been 'processed' and is possibly being reported as an errant hand. I tried to re-import my entire history over the past two days and several errors come up but the hand in question does not. Is it still possible to recover this hand? If so, how?
