You can create Quick Filters for hand ranges. For example if you click hand Values -> Hole Cards Range Selection -> Holdem Hand Ranges -> Group Select -> Suited Connectors then click Add to Filter and click Save as Quick Filter you can save that hand range and it will appear in the Quick: drop down - then you can filter to just your suited connectors quickly and easily.

Please submit a support ticket, TableTracker licenses can be used in PokerTracker 4 but they require manual activation prior to the commercial release. Visit the link below, click registration, then click I Need a registration Code. Be sure to explain that you want to activate your TableTracker license in you PokerTracker 4 beta.

The HUD does not export in videos at this time, this is something we hope to add in the future, but it may not be possible with the tools we used for video export.

All of the dedicated filters used in the Holdem Hand Visualizer can already be found in the Global Filters as well. The locations for these filters are different, but they all exist. For example, here is the 3Bet filter you chose in your screenshot. We cannot duplicate the Visualizer layout as you sugest because it would create confusion in the Global Filter interface, the logic and order of the filters would not make sense to users unless they were using it for the Holdem Hand Visualizer, which of course would be redundant.

Not sure if this is feature request or bug report....

In Results, filtering on a date does not work as I would expect. Specifically, it is in the navigation once the month is displayed. Clicking on the Date filter and selecting a value that brings up the calendar to select from. So far so good. The forward and backward arrows do not keep the calendar displayed, but rather it behaves as a selection rather than navigation. If March 2012 is displayed, the left arrow will select 2/1/2012 rather than displaying February to select a specific day.

Is that how you intended it to work?

I did notice if I click on the year, I can select which month of the year. That is pretty cool.

No, that's not intentional - we're aware of the way the calendar selection works, but I think it is a function of the control that we use so I'm not sure how easy that will be to correct so I don't know when it will be done, but I'm sure it will at some point.

I'm pretty new to pokertracker, is there a "vs player" or some other way I can filter all the stats for my play against one specific opponent?
PokerTracker 4 for Windows & Mac OS X - 2+2 Support Thread Quote
03-03-2012 , 02:05 PM
How would that work exactly? Are you looking for hands where you and the other player were dealt in, or would you both have had to put money in, or some other criteria?
This sort of thing can be done with a custom report, but we need to know the exact criteria you would use to select the hands.

Please start a new thread in the PT4 forum on the PokerTracker website and we'll be able to help you more directly. There are already some examples of this kind of filter in our forums and we'll be able to help you find the right one, or write a new one to meet your requirements.

Luke -

We tested your proposal a few months ago on our own, it was a part of our original intention for the filter system. Unfortunately we hit some snags. We discovered that filtering for all hands played vs a specific opponent, while a different active player is defined, would negatively affect the performance of PT4. Performance was so bad that we decided to not include this feature in the filters, this level of multi-layered filtering would crush the PostgreSQL server's responsiveness. But we will not give up, if we can discover a way to accomplish this in the future without hurting performance then we will add it at that time.

In the meantime, the next best solution is to change the active player to the opponent you want to research, since your mostly playing HU games this should be easy to see how your opponent is playing vs you specifically.

PS: I will speak with Kraada on Monday to see if we can develop a custom filter in MyReports that allows you to do this, it will be a hog on your resources if we can pull this off, but at least it will be a solution that is usable if we can.

Ok cool, thanks for your reply. As an fyi, HEM2 doesn't have a filter that can do this either and it's a deal breaker for a lot of people like me so it'd be a pretty big advantage if you could implement something.

Yes, it works very well now also with the v3.11.11 beta. It's 16 x 16 pixel size and .png files.

Is there an issue with network setups?
I have a Homeserver running my PostgreSQLdb and PT4 is pretty slow.
I haven't been the most active PT3 user but currently my PT4 is slower (importspeeds and generating Reports) than HM1 - not even talking about HM2 which is blazing when compared to both HM1 and PT4.

I only get around 40-60h/s when importing Handhistories in a new PT4 DB. HM1 is 100h/s and HM2 around 800h/s.
The server is fine and running normally.

Please bear in mind that PT4 is still in the beta phase and we still have optimization to do.
As long as your network is fast that shouldn't cause any issues.

[The following is copied from a thread on the PokerTracker forum by Derek & Josh]

Quote:
Comparing import speeds in PT4 and HM2 is not comparing apples to apples - we flush our data directly to PostgreSQL, our research shows that HM2 uses a different method- they store some of their information in a proprietary flat file system. There are positives and negatives to both approaches; we chose our method because it almost eliminates the potential for data loss.

As we understand it, when HM2 imports hands they write some of the information directly to PostgreSQL and other information to a proprietary flat file system. There are benefits and drawbacks to doing this:

The main benefit to doing this is that they are able to bypass a slower PostgreSQL for a faster file access. The net result is better import performance as well as some gained retrieval performance.

The downside is that PostgreSQL is an enterprise quality, matured, and widely adopted database solution. Tens or perhaps hundreds of thousands of development hours have gone into creating it; not to mention the thousands of companies using PostgreSQL that put it through rigorous testing daily. PostgreSQL is designed to keep your data safe at all costs; the value of the data outweighs any performance time gained. We acknowledge that the integration of a flat-file system has the potential to access storage faster than PostgreSQL, but this is due to all of the data integrity checking that PostgreSQL performs to keep your data safe.

Numerous times we have contemplated incorporating a flat-file data storage or caching system, dating way back to the PokerAce Hud days. We opted to not take this path because it's unlikely to have the redundancy and safety features of a professionally designed database solution like PostgreSQL. We are not database development experts therefore we have decided to focus our energies on making PT flexible and powerful. For the majority of our users manual import speed is a lower priority because they rarely need to perform manual imports; this is why we place our development emphasis on the speed of our reports, the responsiveness of the in-game experience, and the quality of the data stored.

If anyone has any questions regarding this topic, we would be happy to answer them.

Best regards,

Derek & Josh

I was just wondering because PT4 looks so good in the way of a next gen tracking tool but severely lacks speed to really, really impress me .

Corny - Our priority for development is with the play workflow, usability, speed of the HUD, and the speed of reports. Manual import speed is a low priority because for the majority of our users they will only need to perform manual imports on rare occasion, such as when they upgrade to PokerTracker 4. We believe a decrease in manual import speed is an acceptable tradeoff in performance to assure the data you import is secure and accurate, but we continue to look for places where we can increase performance during import. There are many new fields that must be calculated that were not previously available, in addition calculation intensive stats that have been added to the import stage such as All-In Equity, Net Adjusted Winnings, and ICM.

It should be noted that live import while playing is not affected by these issues, there is plenty of room to import 40 tables worth of data at the same time without noticing any performance issues caused by the import process. We are only addressing manual import speeds in the text above.

After creating my own HUD profile and then importing the built in HUD Popups - how do I get the popups to show up tabbed (while in game) like they do on the default HUD profiles?

- Anonymous tables support. Check

- Can change the stats at the table from Total to Session with a double click. Check

- HH viewer at the tables is easier to access and the cards are big (unlike pt3). Check

The only thing i am missing is the ability to manually reset the stats at the Anonymous tables. There is any plans to incorporate this feature? FWIW, HM2 has it.

Tks
