We decided to hold off before posting the 2+2 invite because we found a region specific bug that is being fixed as I type this post. We would rather wait until 2+2'ers can start with a great experience, once the fix is live we will be back with the signup link!

Will there be a new batch of beta codes coming soon or we should wait the new year?

Hey guys wanted to post and say that this was well worth the wait. I used the beta last night and I know its still a beta but I'm a huge fan.

I tested HM2 as a beta as well and found the adjustment to it to be initially pretty difficult. Aside from all the great additions that I've seen on your vids and now used, (hud, zoom graph control, money tree, note tracker etc etc) the one thing I'm stoked about is that these additions don't overcomplicate the GUI or hinder navigation around the application.

In fact, to be honest, I think the pt4 gui is simpler to navigate than the pt3 gui. Everything seems well planned and articulated and intuitive and its great to see that you didn't release whatever you had with the hyped up pressures of a software arms race.

...Apologies for sounding like an infomercial

Just played my first session with PT4 and so far I've been very impressed. Everything worked well and the UI seems very user friendly. GJ!

Man this is just a different breed of tracker. It's auto notes feature is ridic sick. I configured my tourney and 6max stats, and just got HU left. Everything is super user friendly and much simpler to use in general. I can't wait to get the notes feature personalized and see how this helps my game.

Thank you all, we are really quite humbled by all of your appreciation.

We have all seen launches go poorly before, even we admit the PT3 launch did not go well. We are so happy that the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, it feels really great to know our hard work has been appreciated by even some of our toughest critics.

PS: As a reminder our development staff will be taking a break for the holidays, so please be patient with us as patches for bugs that are found will slow down during the next two weeks. This is a beta after all, we thank you for helping us find any show-stopping bugs and minor errors before we start opening the doors to more beta testers.

Pending feedback from developers on Monday, we might be able to bring in an extra 50 2+2'ers on the 18th. No promises... but that is our goal. Like before there will be no notice, first come first serve until all of the Beta Preview slots are allocated. We do not intend to allocate more Beta Preview slots until the new year, so this will be the last 50 available before the holidays aimed at the 2+2 community (of which I have personally been an active member of for a decade in 2012).

It should be in your "Welcome to the PT4 Beta" email under the beta key.

Hey guys,

I found out that I couldn't update my HM1 small stakes to HM1 Pro since HM 1 products are off the market. I tried HEM 2 but was never a fan.

I just have a question for people who had HEM 1, tried HEM 2 and now trying PT 4. What are your thoughts on PT 4 relative to HEM 2?

I might just end up going for PT4 if its that much better than HEM 2

On the website for the preview you've advertised free upgrades to PT4 from PT3 if you buy PT3 now. Does this include the micro stakes versions of the software or just the full versions?

The free upgrade applies to every version of PT3. When you buy PT3 now, you will receive an upgrade to the equivalent product version of PT4 for free. Therefore if you purchase PT3 Holdem (Micro) now then you will receive a free upgrade to PT4 Holdem (Micro). Or if it was PT3 Omaha (Full) then you'd receive a free upgrade to PT4 Omaha (Full) and so on...

Best regards,

Derek

PokerTracker 4 is a beta application that is still in development, HM2 is a commercial application which you can buy today. We don't think it is good to do comparisons of a developmental beta with a commercial app. Even if you think the beta is better than the commercial competitor's app, we still think it is best to wait until you know what the commercial release will be like. PokerTracker 4 is already changing to accomodate the needs of it's beta testers, that is why we feel you should wait until we are done developing before making public comparisons. Of course we cannot stop anyone from doing so, this is only our belief.

Will the beta be available to people who don't currently own PT3? Are there still plans for some 2+2ers to get a shot?

People who do not already own PT3 will have to wait until the Public Beta, which we have planed for some time in January (pending schedule changes due to development requirements). Right now our priority is with our existing loyal customers, but within a month everyone will have equal access!!!!

As for 2+2'ers... we expect to give away some free Beta Preview seats within the next 12 hours - once again this will be restricted to existing PT3 users, but it will be the last Beta giveaway in 2011.

Good luck everyone!

The PokerTracker 4 Beta Preview is here!

The first 50 2+2'ers to register will get access to the PokerTracker 4 Beta Preview today.

Beta Preview registration codes are limited; you must act now to reserve your preview allocation. We only have 50 seats available because space is limited. If you are not one of the lucky 50 players, then please be patient - we will be releasing more beta seats after the New Year.

Requirements:

1) Must be an existing PokerTracker 3 user

2) Must have an account at Pokertracker.com

3) Must be willing to provide feedback about your experience with the beta to our developers. The beta process is designed to help us root out any remaining bugs.

We need your feedback to deliver the best user experience we can provide for future PokerTracker 4 users! Good luck, please share your experiences with us. Good luck.... and thank you!
