Hi there!

My PokerTracker is able to track stats of other players but not for mine and it doesn't show hands that I won.

May I know how can I fix this?

From having worked great my hud has deteriorated into a bot of a mess unfortunately

Basically although hands are importing the actual hud on screen is not updating, and the pop-ups show no stats as well.

If I unlock and lock + save layout, the hud will update to the next point (for instance bringing the nr of hands for a certain player from 10 to 25), but then it frezes and remains at the same spot again.

Play on multiple sites, and sometimes when I close a table the hud will linger on as well, not sure if thats connected to the other issues I am having.

Any idea what I should do?

Thanks / Ben

That is not possible because in PokerTracker 4 when you hover over a stat it will display the table session data for that stat in a tool tip.

I did a quick search of Google to confirm that this is an issue with your WIndows installation that is fairly common, check out the link below I found during my search to see how to fix your problem with Windows -

We need more information, what doesn't show your hands - reports in the PokerTracker 4 application, or the HUD?

Three could be more than one issue, but lets focus on the core three possibilities.
Stop importing and playing before we proceed.

1) Have you updated your database when advised after updating to the latest beta? If you ignore this update warning, then strange database behavior can occur. You can solve this by restarting PokerTracker 4, and allow the application to update the database when you see the dialog window that requests permission to update

2) Click HUD > Edit HUD Options > General Settings. Set the Minimum Hands Required filter to 1. Set Stats from the last X hands to 0. Delete any Number of Players Filters entries. If the issue is occurring in tournaments, then remove the Player Stack Filters. Lastly delete the refresh rates on the bottom (this should not affect you, but remove this as part of the debugging process). Sit at a low stakes tabe (or play money on a site that is supported with Play Money) and test to see if the HUD works now.

3) Stop importing hands once again, click Database Management, and select Housekeeping. Perform a Vacuum and Analyze, then a Reindex, then Rebuild Cache. Click close and sit at a low stakes tabe (or play money on a site that is supported with Play Money) and test to see if the HUD works now.

If this does not help your situation, them please notify us by contacting support, we will need to see your logs as explained in these instructions.

Good luck!

I must say I enjoy PT4 very much and planning to stick with it, but everytime I feel like using the cash filters I just get annoyed. Its not very intuitive, struggling to do simple tasks. This is the biggest thing im missing from HEM1, they had a very good overview of what filters your using by having a simple list, theres to much jumping back and forth in confusing menus in PT4 and its hard to get a feel for where things are.

We have been told the opposite, that is why we designed the filters to use such as simple graphical interface. Players wold constantly tell us they hated having to search through long lists of options, it would take a long time just to build a simple filter - with PT4 building a filter is a breeze provided you plan out the goal logically. Perhaps you are just frustrated because the interface is new to you, once you play with it you will find it very simple. A good starting place would be to watch all of the built in tutorial videos, we cover many filtering examples in the report tutorial videos for your convenience.

Start by thinking about the function of the filter, are you looking for an action or an opportunity to take an action in a hand? Then choose Actions & Opportunities. If your filtering for all hands that met a specific definition such as number of players, the size of the pot, or hands that have notes the use Hand Details as the starting base. Game details cover topics that are specific to all hands within a game, such as date range, currency, or stakes. Bord texture and Hand Values should be self explanatory. Session details will be rarely used for most PT4 users, this is for filtering the length or win rate in a session (a session can consist of multiple tables).

Click the on-switch to activate an section. Close the options below to alter the section. Click Add to filter to bring the new items to the top layer of the filters, this is where you can combine multiple filter options at the same time using standard AND /OR logic which has been included in PokerTracker for nearly a decade.

If you are struggling to make a specific filter, then feel free to share what you are trying to do with us, we can tell you how to make the filter - and as of today's beta release we can even save the filter for you so you can import it yourself as a quickfilter - this is a new feature exclusive to PokerTracker 4, it will be a great time saver for those who want to share filters (such as coaches) or when our support team needs to give you a hand.

That is not possible because our layout functionality is very different, and we use properties for stats to allow precision customization for positioning. But it is fairly easy to reproduce your HEM HUD in PT4 using our drag and drop HUD Profile editor. You can also start with the Legacy HUD Profile, we designed this profile to make it easier for HEM users to transition to PT4.

This can be done using a custom "My Report" that consists of a Simple Filter to show hands where the Active Player had AK, and an expression to find the opponent's hands. A report was just made to save you time, you can download the Active Player's AK vs Opponent's Ax with worse kicker custom report from the PokerTracker 4 Download Warehouse.

When trying to do housekeeping as per point 2, i get this message:

Unable to execute query: VACUUM ANALYZE;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: out of memory DETAIL: Failed on request of size 268435452. )

Also, after having updated to the latest beta it doesnt ask me if I want to update my database.

Now what to do?

Did you update to the beta we just release minutes ago? If not please do that first. Then...

1) Select Database > Database Management
2) From the Housekeeping menu select Revert Tuning
3) Close PT4 and restart your computer
4) Go back into the housekeeping menu and select Tune PostgreSQL and then restart your computer when tuning is done.
5) Go backing into PT4 and run housekeeping instructions from the prior post once again. If this does not solve the issue, contact us via support so we can look at your logs and investigate what could be wrong - but I think this should solve the issue based on your description. Good luck!

Thank you for your efforts! I didnt make that filter work though since I only play tournaments and the filter is for cash game. I didnt mention it in my post, my fault.
Please, would you share the way you found certain hands you were facing? I can only display hands that were played by me/hero. Ty

If you convert the report to tournaments, you can edit the filter expression to the following via Filters -> Edit Filter Expression using the blue link:

tourney_hand_player_statistics.id_hand in (SELECT tourney_hand_player_statistics.id_hand from tourney_hand_player_statistics WHERE tourney_hand_player_statistics.id_holecard BETWEEN 4 and 25)

Then the converted version should work for you.

You can track your rakeback earned by installing a custom stat to track your rakeback. Every site is unique, no two sites calculate rakeback the same, that is why we do not use a one solution fits all solution. Let us know which site you play on, and we will point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Click the on-switch to activate an section. Close the options below to alter the section.
The simple graphical interface would make sense in a smartphone or something else with a 3" screen. Not so much on a computer. While the PT3 filter interface left room for improvement, the current system is quite 1990's with the menu-type interface.I'd like to see the full picture at a glance. But you can write that off as a personal preference.

Once I alter a selection, it would make sense to activate the section in question automatically. Seems to work with the checkbox type filters (like "player position, flop") but not with the ones with editable values (like "player position, preflop")
