If you make it work well with sng's I can buy it. By well I mean it can give me stats about players' pushing ranges with different stack sizes, minraise frequency compared to pushing frequency with different stack sizes and positions and 3bet % vs position (instead of 3bet per position).

1. i hope the GUI will still be very intuitive and not stray too far, HEM's GUI is so poor thats why i choose PT3. plus, HEM fails to handle windows 120 dpi fonts where as PT2/3 always worked great.

How much do the upgrades usually cost, or what have they cost in the past?

I was going to get PT3, but might just wait on this, and use the free HUD I have at the moment.

Anssi - We will be opening the commenting system on the preview website shortly, as soon as we begin to post our feature-specific videos. We would really love your feedback when we start to talk about tournament coverage, your requests already touched upon the same topics we have been discussing internally - lets make sure we make you happy before we put out the official commercial release!

The GUI can be seen in the preview screen shots at preview.pokertracker.com, we havent strayed too far yet at the same time it is radically improved. I think you will like it!

As for your other questions, I don't think we should answer that at this time.... lets wait until after the beta is released before we start discussing the magic wands that are waved behind the scenes ;-)

We havent disclosed pricing yet, but we can assure you it will be affordable. We spent years working on the development of PT4, but we want to remain as affordable as possible. As someone else already pointed out, people who buy PokerTracker 3 now will automatically get a free upgrade to PokerTracker 4 upon release, plus you can use PT4 once the beta comes out absolutely free - its your choice!

Hope this helps....

There aren't many detailed screenshots released yet, but if you click the arrow to the left of the video on the preview website you can see a preview image of the HUD (and a few others).

We will be releasing video updates weekly and going into much more detail in our blog so that we can receive your feedback and help us make the final changes needed to bring PT4 to fruition. The first week's video is more of an announcement of PT4 along with a brief overview glimpse of what we will be covering in the weekly videos/blog posts ahead.

Best regards,

Derek

This has not been confirmed yet but, more than likely, the Mac version will be slightly behind the Windows version. With that said, all PT3 purchases beginning on June 10, 2011 will receive a free upgrade to PT4.

Derek

I assume custom stats will be available in PT4?

Will there be corrections in all the situations that at this time (in PT3) make custom stats work incorrectly?

For example the following two scenarios cannot be distinguished in PT3 as is

(1) HJ limps, BTN raises, BB 3-bets, HJ 4-bet shoves, BTN folds, BB calls
and
(2) HJ opens, all fold to the BB who 3-bets, HJ 4-bet shoves, BB calls.

We need custom stats that work correctly in 100% of cases and I hope the new database scheme takes that into consideration.

Yes custom stats will be available, and yes we will be able to distinguish those situations. People have been asking for that capability for a long time and we have been listening. There shouldn't be anything you want to build that you can't build in PT4.
