Before upgrading to 4.15 I wish to know how the new DB will be structured. I have a custom schema along with custom functions and views that I don't want to break for obvious reasons...

The change is a renamed column in the tourney_results table related to tournament bounties so it's unlikely to affect any customisation although it would depend on exactly what you have done. We recommend backing up your database(s) in case you need to revert to an earlier version of PokerTracker 4 which you can do via the 'File -> Backup' menu option or when prompted before the database update.

Which of the features of Notecaddy for PT4 will be available while the PokerStars client is open?

Surely, I can find this out by trial and error, but I yet have to back up a lot of DBs prior to upgrading to v. 4.15, so a quick guide (at PT4's site) on the compatibility of NC for PT4 with PokerStars would be still nice.

I wonder if the list of limitations is basically the same as for NC for HM2:

Quick filtering question, I'm having trouble finding an action-sequence filter that works and failed at trying around:

1) All hands where hero is big blind, btn opened the pot via limp or raise, sb folded

2) All hands where hero is bb, btn folds

3) All hands where hero is bb, both btn and sb enter the pot with limp/raise/3b/iso/whatever action

Not sure if its because of the new update, but tourney blinds on Party are now showing as 0/0, no matter what stage of the tournament it is.

Yes the limitations for NoteCaddy on PokerStars are the same in PokerTracker 4 as they are for Holdem Manager 2.

There are no simple filters for the position of folders/limpers/callers but you can filter for those situations using expression filters in 'My Reports'. So for your first example you can use:

cash_hand_player_statistics.position = 8 AND cash_hand_summary.str_actors_p LIKE '0%' AND cash_hand_summary.str_actors_p NOT LIKE '09%'

You can use this expression filter by clicking on the filters link and selecting "Add New Expression Filters". Substitute 'cash' with 'tourney' if you are in a tournament report. This post has more information on how the actors and aggressors strings work.

Party have made a change to their tournament hand histories (using a 'K' format for thousands) and while the hands import into PokerTracker 4 it has caused some problems. Please open a Support Ticket if you want to receive a notification when a fix for this is available.

I've signed up for NoteCaddy beta, created automatic notes and my database has started to work very slowly.

Is there a way to disable NoteCaddy completely?

Also, are there any instructions how to use NC with PT4? Their site and youtube videos seem to only support HM.

How do I make it so that the HUD is by default disabled when I start playing?

You can stop the HUD after you start 'Get Hands While Playing' via the HUD menu, but there isn't an option to not have it start. If you are looking to disable your HUD for a specific site you can disable "Get Hands While Playing" via "Configure -> Sites & Import Options". If you still want to import hands as you play then you can create a blank HUD and set that as required via 'HUD > Edit HUD Options > Profile Select'.

I am trying to export some hands to a folder and email them to someone, it keeps saying the file is too large, any idea how I can do it?

has the padding and separator option been removed from hud edit?

You can compress the file before you attach it - text files will compress really well and should be a lot smaller.

No. You will need to expand that part of the PokerTracker 4 window to see everything so hover your mouse over the dots on either side until your mouse changes to <-> and then left click/drag.
Make sure you are using the 'Hands Abbreviated' stat and not the 'Hands' stat.
Make sure you are using the 'Player Name Short' stat and not the 'Player' stat.

how do i export database vs a specific player so i can see my stats from his perspective in the replayer?

If you make your opponent the active player in PokerTracker 4 then you can export their hands and import those into a new database where you can view your stats.

im getting this error when trying to import a HUD

Upgrade to the latest version of PokerTracker 4 and then try importing that profile again.

i have no idea why i cant import the hands pt4 says its found the tournament but yet doesnt import the hands then my hud wont load?

ive tried to rebuild cache and housekeeping pt4 always crashed says its not responding idk what to do

Please enable logging, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us in a Support Ticket so we can investigate that for you. You can access the log file by clicking 'File --> Show User Data Folder' in the main PokerTracker 4 window - the file we need is the text file called 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder:

Is there a way to export just marked hands without highlighting them one by one?

How do I import tournament summaries from a playing audit? I am on a new computer, and I forgot to have Stars save my tournament summaries.

It's imported some correctly, but others are saying 0 finish and not reporting bounties or prize correctly.

I requested a playing Audit, and I've got the .csv, but when I import hands from disk, and select the zipped file nothing changes.

You can export larger quantities of hands via the 'Database -> Export Hands' menu option. In a hand report you can also select all hands using CTRL-A or a block of hands by selecting one hand and then shift-clicking the last one you want. Finally you can select subsets of individual hands not listed sequentially using CTRL-click.

If they are recent tournaments you can request the summary files from the PokerStars client (Tools -> History & Stats -> Get Tournament History).

You need to extract the file to a new folder before importing it into PokerTracker 4.
