I just bought pokercruncher and was wondering how you can add specific cards on top off assigning a arrange. For example, if you select top 10% in the hand range but wanted to add the cards 4c and 5s specifically for that player. I believe stove can do this, so I'm assuming cruncher can too? Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes - Tap the "Suits" button, this brings up the 4x4 suit combinations grid. You want to add a specific offsuit hand 5s4c so tap on the 54o cell to select it. You can then select any subset of the 12 hand (suit) combinations for 54o in the Suits grid. In this case tap on the <Spade,Club> button to add 5s4c. For visual feedback on such "partially added" cells, they're shown in green color in the 13x13 grid. Thanks for getting the app.

thanks rj999. this is helpful. however, is there a way to input just one card in addition to a range? so in the example above, including 5s only and not 4c?

thanks so much. great work on the app.

Whoa, this is harder, because the range feature is geared on sets of hands (hand = two cards), not on just one card. This is as in PokerStove, in Stove I couldn't enter just one card in a range (someone pls. correct me if there's a way). E.g. I could enter "JJ+,5s4c" but couldn't enter "JJ+,5s" (syntax error). Same restriction when I used the range popup window instead of typing in text.

But you can still do this in a longwinded way. See below pic, I started by adding Top10% (yellow cells). Now you want to add all hands that contain 5s. We'll do this in 4 pieces, the first piece is shown in the pic, the offsuit cells A5o..65o. Select these cells by dragging your finger across this range (orange = selected). Bring up the Suits view. Then turn on the 3 <?,Spade> buttons. The 5 is the second card in this range of cells so we fix the second card's suit to Spade and select all choices for the first card's suit.

Then repeat this for the other 3 pieces that contain a 5: 54o..52o, A5s..65s, 54s..52s (I'm excluding the pair cell 55 here). I know, slight pain in the butt, but hopefully this is a low %age usage case. And if Stove can do this, I'll definitely add it.

Thanks for compliments on the app guys, I appreciate your support.

Or get an iPod touch or iPad : ). Still no plans for BB or any other non-Apple platforms. Next up is a Mac version which should be up on the Mac app store within a month. Then I'll consider other platforms again but they're harder imo (I investigated Android a bit last year), can't guarantee.

Now that all Apple OS's/devices are covered, I'm planning an Android version next. And I'm serious about this now, unlike last year when I deferred and mostly complained about the difficulties of developing for Android when people suggested this. These difficulties are still there (fragmentation and variety: in the Android OS versions, devices, screen resolutions, device testing, etc., and dev cost payoff compared to iOS), but I want to reach as many people as I can with this app so I need to handle these issues and still release a clean app.

No ETA or promises though, will take many months, wish me luck, or if I hire externally for this wish them luck : ). Thanks for interest.

rj99, First of all, great app.

You should add in calculations for Q and M ratios.

I can't seem to find an app that will do that.

Thanks. Good suggestion, the "ICM Cruncher" app would be the best place for Q and M ratios, I will add this at some point.

great app - just dl for ipad

one question - I put in a hand that was K Q on like a flop of

JT3

and in the distribution window on the different ways the hand wins, it had a small % for 4 of a kind and full boats - seems like it was ignoring the flop for this section because the win % looked right given this flop. Am I interpreting this right?

Just checked on the iPhone version and saw 0's for full house and 4OfAKind (at a table, don't have iPad). Maybe you're looking at Player2's stats and not Player1's? In the iPad version the stats view shows the stats for the currently selected player (current selected/tapped card).

If this doesn't explain it can you pls send a pic?

I see what it was - that was almost it - it wasn't Player 1 or Player 2 - it was "Winning Hand" so it included results for both players. I was taking "Winning Hand" as the favorite. That's fine then. Thx.

Not yet. The market for Hold'em is bigger, and I need to port the Hold'em version to non-Apple platforms.

I'm sorry if it's a stupid question but why are the odds of flopping a set 8.34-1?

Yes I'm seeing 8.3 : 1. What do you expect it to be?

Note that the "set" stat (actually it's 3OfAKind) is independent of the FullHouse and 4OfAKind stats. If you want the odds of flopping a set or better, you need to add up these 3 stats. I'm seeing 10.8% + 0.74% + 0.25% = 11.8%. Converting to odds gives 7.47 : 1.

The Mac version of this app has an additional "Total Hit" stat feature where you can put checkmarks next to the stats that you want to add up, which makes this kind of thing way easier.

My apologies - 8.3:1 is exactly a set and nothing better

Could we have that mac feature on the iPhone?
