And then I deleted the file. Now I can't seem to dl it again (server down or just me?) so I can't do the whole submit it to AVG for testing business, did anyone else do it?

It seems somewhat unlikely that it's actually a virus but at the same time I don't feel completely comfortable ignoring the AV warnings..

As I'm not a HM user, I'd obviously much prefer if a system where you can just copy and paste a hand history into pokerazor

Could you please tell if virus is detected only on install file or also on pokerazor.exe in pokerazor directory?

I never got further than the install file. I didnt dare to run it as it was detected as a virus.

You don't actually say what the software does.

Its like stox calculator afik.

For example you can check if its profitable to bet/bet/bet AA if the river completes a back door flush and back door straight if your opponent calls flop with gutshot+ on flop and pair+gutshot on the turn.

I have made analysis as to why it is recognized as a virus.

And they perform the check with many antivirus software.

Two scanners produced alerts:

Description of this alert I have found is:
A program that downloads files to the local computer that may represent security risk

The pokerazor is doing updates by downloading new version of program from internet and running it.

So i think it is enough to believe it is false positive

I love the software it's much more user friendly in design that the great StoxEv but it doen't perform as well yet. The ability to import hand from PT and HM would be great.

the project isn't getting as much attention as we hoped for. We tried to make our UI as intuitive as possible. We even thought that it is intuitive enough that people will be able to use it without too much help, but we know we were wrong about it.

As to development it is not very rapid now, but today we relesed 2 new features.

One is quiz which is based on most exploitive strategy finder.

You can try playing against calling station. Just run from menu Examples->Calling Station->Quiz

You can create some configuration for 2 players and select yourself as one of them. Pokerazor will calculate the most exploitve strategy for you. Now you can create quiz, where you are a hero and you are asked to play the most exploitive strategy. There are even levels. The harder the level, the closer in value will be available decisions.

Second is Compare Decisions.

You can create strategy and on some point ask pokerazor to tell you wich decision is best at this point. For instance there is Call, Fold and Raise as possibilities.
You can compare decisions by running calculation 3 times. once all hand go call, once fold, and once all hands go raise.

Then you compare EV of call with EV of fold and you can see for which hands it is better to call, and for which it is better to fold.

Now it has become automatic.

You can just rightclick the node, select "Compare Actions" and you will se the intuitive chart where you can compare two actions(and see hands in green that perform better in one action and in red those who don't )
You can also see the ranges split bettwen actions to see which actions are best for all hands.

It didn't. We don't work full time on the project but it's still alive. I will try to post some saves with description and we are always happy to help with any kind of analysis user's may want to make.
New Pokerazor has a lot of useful features Juggler's talked about and I am sure it can asnwer most poker/math questions one may have.

I have been trying to download this but I keep getting a message when I try to run the install that says:

Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy.

I also tried downloading it on my laptop just in case it was a problem with my computer and I had the same results.

I was using "Range Explorer", and i could insert a hand and see all the flop probabilities. But then i wanted to see the same data for turn and river, and i couldnt. Is this a feature only available to registered users?
(If it is maybe you should make a note to unregistered users)

could someone explain to me the basic difference between razor and stoxEV? I am trying to decide which one to learn.

It's more or less the same stoxEv is more complete but less user friendly. But mostly it seems that the development of Pokerazor has stopped...It's a real shame.
