This is the support thread for Poker Copilot, which is hand analysis software for Macs.

Have only given this version a quick try, but it seems to work. Congrats on getting a Mac HUD up and running, you deserve some sort of award.

Now to nit pick.

The HUD is positioned really well, even on the heavily modified tables I use on full tilt, but the top left player on 6 max tables has his bet and stats obscured when there are chips in front of him.

The VPIP, PFR and Agg letters are not necessary, the numbers (colour coded?) will suffice. The number of hands played vs opponent is an absolute must, no other stat means anything without this. So please drop the lettering and use the space to show number of hands and maybe att to steal if possible?

Big thanks to you for doing this, it's gonna be popular with the mac crowd.

Hey Tawbor

Thanks for the feedback. What you say is spot on. Some of the stuff is already there:
* you can customise the HUD using preferences. There's an option to turn off labels, so that you get a nice compact view
* Poker Copilot uses colour to indicate numer of hands played. A player's stats start off very dim, and as the number of hands played increase, the stats get brighter. When the reach the "Magic HUD threshold" they turn yellow. The threshold is 25, but you can change it in preferences.

Regards,

Steve

Ah yes, didn't see the HUD option in preferences - this has addressed the main issues. Great work!

the hud on full ring ft is a little crooked but other than that it looks great

It seems like the HUD preferences only apply to FTP, is that right?

I like your Aggression Frequency (%) statistic, but I would actually like to see it side by side with the traditional Aggression Factor. Since the denominator in the Frequency equation includes folds and the denominator for calculating AF does not, these two stats together provide a powerful comparison of a player's tendencies. It would be nice to see both in the HUD.

However, it appears only Aggression Frequency is displayed in the Stars HUD, and I haven't been able to successfully modify it from the Preference pane so that it might display both.

TIA for anything you can do with this.

Hi 2$RIP,

The HUD preferences apply to both Full Tilt and PokerStars.

Are you using the "New HUD" or the "Classic HUD"? Only the new HUD shows custom statistics.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Steve

steve,

is there any way in the recent hands section to show what your opponent(s) had if the hand went to showdown? if not, i think you should incorporate that.

thanks.

Sometime in the near future, I intend to hook a hand replayer to the "recent hands" summary.

Okay, yeah, I was using the previous release until today. But, yeah, the preferences are applying correctly in the New HUD.

Thanks for your quick response.

Nice software! It needs an option to show mucked cards for sure. Also if there is a way to move player stats around in the hud, and have them stay where I want them, that would be nice. It seems that the hud stats are not lining up in optimal locations.

That's a bit strange. That sounds like Poker Copilot's "Classic" HUD. Are you using the latest version? That defaults to the "New" HUD, which puts the stats next to each players.

Just downloaded the demo two days ago and I'm very impressed. It's a relief to be able to play on my MacBook instead of the fairly old Dell PC I've been stuck with it. And since I hadn't bothered to upgrade to PT3 since I was holding out in the hope of a Mac version, having 3-bet stats is a huge new benefit. I also like the color change as you get more hands on a player.

Any chance of adding a decimal point or two to the stats in the HUD, at least when you click on a player for more details? For a stat like 3-bet%, that would be a huge help. Also, what about an option to show the raw totals in the detail view of the HUD as well? A 0% blind steal % doesn't tell me if player has had ten chances to steal or none.

Also, this might be going out on a limb, but what about c-bet/fold to c-bet stats? Is the program capable of tracking those stats?

Good suggestions. There's a good chance one or more will make into Poker Copilot soon.

I cannot get the on-table HUD to work. Classic HUD still works, however. When I do "check for casinos" or whatever it is called, it recognizes full tilt, but can not find my HH. I am saving my HH in english, and added the folder to CoPilot. And as I said, the classic HUD works, so I cannot figure out why the on-table HUD does not.

PS, I enabled Universal Access as well.

nevermind. it is working today. perhaps a restart of the computer is necessary?

Sorry, one more question.

I have a lot of hand histories saved as text files on my old computer. I tried dragging the files over to my hand history folder but Copilot did not read them. Is there a way to import hand histories?

Will give this a try later tonight. I'm excited. Is it possible to pay for this through a Stars transfer?

I tried this and for some reason could not get it to run. I'm rather new to Apple. Could anybody help? Thanks!

I am in the same boat. I click it, and it will attempt to open, but then automatically shuts itself down. Please help us out. Would love to start using this when I make my first deposit into PStars this weekend.

This is gonna tip me over the line to get a Mac!

UPDATE

I downloaded a previous version posted on apple.com and the previous version (1.46 i think) works fine. It's just 1.50 that won't stay open.

Another question, I haven't deposited any real money yet, so Copilot is showing my play money as statistics. Will this reset when I start playing real money? Is there a way to reset it? Thanks!

Actually, I have a question.

How does this app store data? I am primarily a SnG player right now, and would be multi-tabling with HUD. I think I read earlier that Poker Co-pilot doesn't use the same type of database like PT3.

Does the data build up, like histories with players from months ago, or does it become deleted after a certain amount of time? How much storage place does it take up. I probably average approx 10k hands per week and that will only increase.
