I'm not sure this thread is the good one but I wanted to give you some feedback on a major leak of Prospector v1. I own both Prospector and PT. I bought Prospector first because, after some testing, I found it much more userfriendly and easy to use. However, I now mainly use PT for one single reason: the HUD and I know many people who are in the same situation. So, imho, if you want to have a really good product, the HUD should be your first priority.

Hey there,

I just received the e-mail with my beta tester code and I'm looking forward to checking out the software. However, in the e-mail the link provided to download the mac version was broken. Does anyone know of an alternative link, and if not could you please update us with another when this is resolved? Thanks.

Just downloaded and installed Prospector2. Install went very smoothly. Importing processed hand histories from PT went smoothly as well. I'm in the process of trying to alias all of my nicks together, and I'm having some difficulty. I can get a nickname to recognize 1 other as an alias, but then when I go to try and add multiple aliases, it looks as though it deletes the first one I just set up. It will show the first alias under the "Alias" column, but when I click that box and try to drop down to type a 2nd alias, it clears the first one completely.

ok i just got it installed and was able to load a couple thousand hands that i had on a usb drive. My speeds ran anywhere from 4hs to 512 hs. I will transfer my pt hands later then go from there but at this point i have not even read the getting started page but everything seems self explanatory.

What I meant is that people tend to use .... what they already use (regardless of the price aspect). So, someone using PT for its HUD is more inclined to use PT to analyze his game as well even if your software is great.

I used it in many ways, and found no big issues. The only think I nocided is that my Full Tilp Point tournaments was counted as money trounaments, and this changed my bankroll stats. And i didn`t find information about rakeback.

Excelent software, excelent graphas, excelent tool.

Installed today without any problem. Process was fast and program runs smoothly. Compared to other similar programs Poker Academy Prospector 2 runs lighter and doesn't overload my CPU usage (I have an old computer).

Imported some hands from iPoker and everything went fast and well. Im gonna import my PStars hand histories (mostly DON's) today or tomorrow and see if they are supported.

I see some people here are discussing about HUD. In my opinion it would be a great addition to Poker Academy Prospector 2. It would be a complete package then.

No crashes or bugs yet. So far so good.

Find your four names in the player name column and site column, and then give them all the same typed in alias name. For example, find the row with nick1 in the name column and site1 in the site column (i.e. nick1@site1) and type in an alias (i.e. me) in the alias column, then find the row with nick2 in the name column and site2 in the site column (i.e. nick2@site2) and type the same alias name (i.e. me) in the alias column or pick it from the dropdown list, then repeat for your other two nicks/sites and then save.

auto search isn't finding my ub folder. It is saved to the default location.

I've been trying the software on hand-histories for PokerStars freezeouts with very large fields and deepish stacks.

Much of the functionality is based on Net$. It equates tournament-chips to dollars. Customising the graphs to show NetBB/100 made them more meaningful. I'd like NetBB to be shown in the Hand Browser so that I could find the key hands. Sorting on Net$ just gives the hands which involved the most chips. I've partially worked around this problem by filtering on Game Type to look at hands of a single blinds level.

On the Database tab, I would have to edit each tournament summary individualy to make the Tournament Stats tabs useful.

Hi,
just installed under Vista 32 SP1 without problems. Importing the Prospector V1 Database and processed PT Data went well. Like Prospector 1, it's faster than PT.
So far, no Issues with FullTilt. Email Import for Pokerstars would be nice. I would suggest some kind of stop-function for Freerolls with >2k players, cause it takes hours importing all player ranks.
I will continue with analysing soon

Hi, I have downloaded and installed smoothly, exported my PT DB into files, but Poker Academy seems unable to load the hands (selected "automatic" + the folder...).
I can provide hand history if needed (kind of too large to be pastled there... )

Any idea ?
