ChazDazzle, does pokeit has any advantages comparing to HM or PT?

Certainly a few. Depends on what you use it for. Pokeit supports stud and draw games as well as hold'em and omaha. It's also cloud based so maintaining a database on your own computer is not required. Pokeit also offers a forever free version for up to 50K hands. On the other hand, you can get more stats and a HUD with PT or HM. It also doesn't have to be either or choice. Many of our users also use HM or PT.

ChazDazzle, I've just read the news page of one of the poker schools today. And the article said that pokeit has just been released and will make a revolution in poker But I just don't understand by which means can I apply it to my poker stuff

Revolution, eh? Do you have a link to this revolutionary literature?

do you have any plans to have more lower end pricing structures? i will never fill 1 million hands. also can this work in conjunction with hem / pt or will either pt / hem or poke it archive the hands too quickly?

We probably won't be getting much lower than $5 a month. How many hands are you planning on storing? If you refer a friend to Pokeit you can get +5,000 hands free so doing that could keep you in the free zone for a while.

Pokeit should work fine in conjunction with HM and PT. Feel free to try it out and if you have any issues let us know.

Whats your plans for importing player notes and tags from HM or PT? I would think adding this feature alone would get a lot of people to use pokeit even if they still use HM/PT for their time at the tables but use pokeit for review sessions.

If I import hands from HM2Archive will the HHs be gone or does it just read em and they stay there? (As far as I know HM basically "takes" HHs and once I import them from a folder they are gone...). If thats the case is there an option to change that or do I have to manually copy them to a diffrent folder be4 I import em if I don't wanna lose my HHs?
How easy is it to export hands from Pokeit to my computer? How fast is it (hands/sec?) ?
Is it possible to get acces to one database from two diffrent computers at the same time? Can I import from two computers at the same time to make it faster?

Edit: What is the format of HHs I export from Pokeit? Can all common programs (HM2, PT3, 2+2, CardrunnersEV etc.) read them without problems?

We haven't looked into this yet, but it's a good idea. Once we add notes to Pokeit, we'll look into what needs to be done to import saved notes from HM/PT.

As far as we can tell there are no problems with Pokeit working along side HM/PT. If you do select both your poker site's hand history folders and the HM archive it will upload both while you play and recognize that the HM archive contains duplicates.

This feature is not yet available. While Pokeit doesn't delete anything off your computer, we're going to want this feature eventually if say, your computer crashes or you want to get all your hands to switch products.

Pokeit will work fine if used from two computers. It won't let you import from two computers at the same time however - though it should put the second import you start in a queue.

The hand text you can export is in forum code format only at this time. It should work with posting in 2p2 or other forums but it can't be imported to another database.

I had to wait for ~90mins in queue for import.

For my next import I'm 445th in line, right now.

Are you using it on the Mac? If so what version of OSX? Does the Pokeit app get destroyed when it starts uploading? If not what does it do? Also, is PokerStars definitely saving hands to the folder 'Pokerstars HH'?

Also, let me know if there is a file deep inside the Pokeit.app called - ./Pokeit.app/Contents/Resources/Pokeit.app/Contents/Resources/pokeit-crash-report.log

Thanks,
Chaz

YES
10.7.4
Doesn't get destroyed. The app goes thru an upload process(1 directory, upload rec'd,etc) but nothing is saved to the website.
The HH are def. being saved to that folder yes.
I don't see that file,don't think it's there.

Ok, we're going to have you download a new version with some better logging which should help us figure this out. We'll send you an email when it's ready.

In the mean time, perhaps try to set up the PokerStars directory in the default location and try adding that folder in the client. Curious to see if that imports. Should be something like '/Users/chaz/Library/Application Support/PokerStars/HandHistory'

Thanks,
Chaz

Hi Chaz,

I've just registered to Pokeit, seems quite useful.
I got a couple of questions:

I'm filtering hands through ReportBuileder, selecting an opponent and seeing all the hands he was involved; in HandBrowser, I see columns like Card, Profit, Details, but they're related to my hand and not opponent's. Is there a way to see opponent hand details there?

Let's say I'm analyzing last session: it seems I can't sort hands by profit/loss (i.e., from highest profit to lower); is there a way to do so?

last thing: yesterday I imported by mistake a wrong database and I got no free space now: is it possible to delete my hands so that I can import the right one? Just to try your site before subscribing Premium

thanks a lot!
Andy

When you first selected the opponent was this what you were expecting to see? I'm thinking we could have it where once you select an opponent it will first show you their info, and then you'll have to option where you can click a switch and flip back to your cards, profit, details for the hands you played against this opponent.

This option is scheduled for our next release. Should be available by end of summer or beginning of fall.

As of right now, Pokeit doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between a heads-up match and a heads-up shootout. For instance, I play a $3.29+$0.21 heads-up match on PokerStars. Once completed, Pokeit adds it as a 2-max $3.29+$0.21 heads-up match. I then proceed to play a 4-man $3.29+$0.21 heads-up shootout... and Pokeit adds it as a $3.29+$0.21 2-man heads-up match. Any plans to fix this?

Thanks for pointing this out. On our to-do list is adding in SNG/MTT/Multi-Table SNG categorizations to the reports. PokerStars doesn't explicitly write these categorizations in their summary/hand history files, but now that i'm thinking about it, I believe we already have enough info to build it in.

Am I correct in assuming BB/100 is Big Bets per 100 hands under the report builder stats?
