UTILITY NoteCaddy - Page 84 - Poker Software -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

hi,
sometimes i have a problem that i can not access definitions although nc shows me that notes were taken. When i click on "analyze" it says no notes were created but i see the avg % and the number of opportunities for this definition.
It`s weird that it only happens to a few out of hundreds of defs...
Can you help me with that?

That may happen if pending tasks are interrupted. You can reset notes and it should work unless you have history turned off for the definition in which case it will never work.

if i use the "only use last x opportunity" option, will it increase or decrease performance?

It will slightly decrease performance, depending on how big x is and how many hands you have.

color definitions -> "NoteCaddy Notes" Tab (takes ages to edit if you have lots of "similiar" spelled stats)

just 1 little inconvenience - when i click on the "used statistic" in a color definition - it is a black text surrounded by a dark blue

Please change the text to white

(or the dark blue into orange - like in "available statistics")

Anyone experiencing badges not showing on the hud after the latest NC update?

I created new database after the NC update, now my new database dont show badges on the hud.
OTOH, my old database still show badges on the hud.

NoteCaddy isn't creating notes for a specific player in my database (there may be more, but I've only noticed the issue with one player). I went to Tools>Player Notes, then typed in the name, and I see nothing.

I opened PostgreSQL and vacuumed, analyzed, and reindexed my database, then I reset my notes in NoteCaddy and recreated them, and I still have this issue.

I'm using NC v. 2.5.1.9 and HEM 2 v. 8268.

What should I do?

Look like the latest beta 2.5.1.9 still has some bugs.

Both taken from the SAME hands sample (650k hands played by hero)

The top one using HM2 8262 with NC 2.5.1.5
The bottom one using HM2 8268 with NC 2.5.1.9

I have 22k hands sample vs this villain, and it seems that the picture at the top is more accurate.

I tried to paste the hand history twice and NoteCaddy locks up. The hand/player is on the Winning Poker Network.

It appears to be an issue with the NoteCaddy package I'm using. I'm currently using the AJA Dynamic package, however, on my other hard drive I have NoteCaddy Edge installed and I have notes on this particular player.

That random locking up in the TE/seek is usually because NC gets stuck with a corrupt database. If you have another database you may want to try just to see if that's what it is.

Right-click the color-definition triggering the badge and select "Seek".

I found a bug:

color coding:

Minimum (or maximum) value:

use .xx (eg 0.01)

then save - close the color definition and return

minimum should be: 1 (100.00 goes to 10000)

does not work 100% time tho - more like 40--60

/€ now i restarted hm and my color definitions are all gone (????????!!!!!)

wtf .... luckyly i made a backup 2-3 days ago, so only ~5 hours went to waste

but wtf?!

NoteCaddy backs up all definitions every time you open it in the backup folders that are in the same folder as the definitions themselves.

As far as the numbers getting bigger and then disappearing I never have heard of this at all and there have been many millions of color definitions created using NC. I'm not saying it didn't happen but without some more details that I could use to try and replicate the issue there's not much I can do

as to the bug:

could NOT duplicate it on my other pc, so maybe my db is corrupted (would explain why all definitions were gone short afterwards)

Make sure you are using the latest HM2 version. If you try to update NC while not having the latest HM2 you're going to have a bad time. Sorry for the inconvenience.

ok, i can replicate the bug now:

for some reason notecaddy (sometimes?) uses a "," -> 100,00 which will turn into 10000 when saving the color definition

if you use a "." it will stay 100.00
