I don't know if this is a notecaddy or hm2 question, but is there any way to make the little "N" note icon not show when I have notecaddy notes and only show when I have written manual notes?

You can make the "N" never show by not having notes in there. You prevent that by setting each definition not to appear there in HUD->"show in main notes popup" via the definition editor

I recently reinstalled Windows and HEM2. I used the Backup and Restore option on my new HEM2, but my Notecaddy (and edge) stats don't work anymore. All of the other Popup stats work fine.

HEM's backup and restore doesn't cover HM-App items so you'd have to reinstall edge. If you still have the email with the installer you can use that, otherwise you can email edge@notecaddy.com and ask for a new one

I just did a Note Caddy update and now my HUD is not working for players, except the table averages feature. I am using HEM2 2.0.0.7666.

I didn't want to update to the latest HEM2 due to the problem with new tables popping to the front of my stack when playing SNGs.

What shall I do?

You will not lose definitions. You can get the release date by downloading the file and looking at the date. It's not a common scenario where someone intentionally doesn't update HM2 and does update NC though I understand why in this situation. It's also very rare that the interface between the two changes as it did. 2.4.5.2 or 2.4.5.1 should work

I went to 2.4.5.2 and everything appears to be fine and I think everything I edited/added while on 2.4.5.3 is still there.


While I am here, roughly 10% of the time my colour definition badges don't show up. The player's HUD stats are there, but no badges.

HM2 has never given NC the stats in a 100% reliable way, unfortunately. The solution is coming when they release HMQL. Not sure when that is going to be, unfortunately.

is auto-color coding of ipoker supported? as I can't seem to find the option

It is not. Last time I checked all ipoker skins store the necessary files on their server => impossible to automate.

I am getting this error and it no longer lets me chose which d/b I want to import from it just says it will import from my default d/b. I don't use it with hem 2 so I use the stand alone version of note cady.

You are trying to select a pt4 database. PT4 is not supported. I will fix it so that pt4 databases don't show up on the list

Ah, ok thanks. Your right, I had completely forgot I have been using pt4 for ftp. How do I unselect the pt4 db then now that I have selected it as I no longer get an option to choose d/b.

That is rather inconvenient that it behaves like that...

The easiest way to get it back on track is to delete your caddysettings.xml which is located in the folder where you have the NC standalone installed. Then restart NC

I just recently added a definition to show how often villain has seen me 3bet. However, when I added it to my popup I have some villains where it is showing 0% even though my 'V Hero' popup is showing that they have folded to a number of my 3bets.

Are the hands where they folded to your 3 bet showing up if you go to the tools->player note history and check the hands? If you put the hand where they folded into the tools->test environment, are you getting a success for that player?

It's kinda strange. I brought up a random hand in the replayer and checked my hud popup for one of my opponents and it had the problem above. However when I went to the 'opponents' tab in hem2 to find specific hands to check, when I opened the replayer from this tab the popup looked as though it showed the correct information. This was all for the same villain and yet the information in the popups is different depending on where I view them. I thought I maybe had the 'show stats up till hand was played' box checked but I don't.

To be honest, all this is kinda irrelevant to me as long as it shows up okay in game. So I'll leave it for now and report back if I find any problems there.

Just starting out with the NC. Let's say I want to make a simple note. I want a badge that shows when the player folds the big blind to a small blind steal more often than 80%. I understand the preflop and action tab but how do I filter the results to include only players with more than 80% fold? Is this Minimum Instance/Opportunity Percent in the Advanced tab?

yes, you want to filter by "minimum instance/opportunity percent" which is in sample filters in the advanced tab. After you finish that and run the pending task, I recommend running an analysis on the definition so you can get some idea of how many players you can expect to see the badge.

Thank you for your fast response! Nice to know you can also find population tendencies using NC! The badge I wrote about was obviously some made up example, just wanted to make sure I understood the filter correctly.

Is there a list of changes for the notecaddy updates? My NC updated today but I have no idea what was included in it.
