Is there any chance that you might look into Mac support with this?

You should probably reinstall and watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSuuyg6UPu0

Yeah the problem is is that "object reference" error doesn't tell me much at all. I added some debugging code to that particular section so if you do get the big red x again, please submit like you did yesterday so I can see what happened. Also, try waiting like 20 seconds after startup to start color coding. Let me know if that makes any difference. Also, are you getting the error right when you click "color code" or do you do something else afterwards like click stop?

I did this and it seems to be capturing more notes. It has been running for about 12 hours now and is less than half way finished, I have about 3 million hands so probably nothing to be concerned about.

I noticed that there was not an option for Limit holdem, but I assume most of the definitions will work for Limit? I made inactive all of the definitions that seemed only to relate to NL, would there be any adjustments that I need to make to the canned definitions so they would apply to limit?

I do like your database schema but when I whine it is because NC does stuff PT3 doesn't, for example, going through all hands, no matter the game type, chronologically. You guys separate all game types into different tables which makes perfect sense for what you're doing, e.g. pulling up stats for a single player or players but only for one game type at a time. But I want to be clear my intention was not to criticize your schema in any way
I understand and am in no way offended - I just wanted to make sure you didn't forget that if you need a hand from us you only need to ask

Love the software, but am having a problem now. The software wants to go through every hand on my database again for no reason. Now I am starting to see notes on folks where I know it has to be the same instance counted twice. It is also dragging my computer to where I have to play two less tables while it is running. How do I get it to stop, and also just display the appropriate number of instances for an event?

As far as it slowing your computer, you can go to file->settings->database settings and remove "use multi threading" and it will process slower but not bog your computer down much.

As far as the multi notes, are you using 2.0.0.6? Are you just clicking the "create notes" button or are you doing something more complex? If so, please describe in as much detail as possible what you're doing so I can replicate it. There was a momentary issue with the 1.09 branch but that was solved very quickly so you should no longer be impacted.

The thing about limit is that as far as notecaddy is concerned, it is just no limit with very specific bet sizes. So pre flop and flop are "min bets/raises" and the turn and river are "small bet/min bet small raises". So to actually answer your question, basically all default notes ignore bet sizes. The exceptions being the infamous "overbet river strong" definitions that caused me much anguish since they proved to be useless.

I am getting the error message that authentication has not completed yet, try again in a few seconds. I tried to restart the program to no avail. Not sure what to try next.

Yes, the "please wait a few seconds" was a crappy user experience. I have pushed 2.0.0.7 so just restart your NC and let it update. This *should* work more intuitively now.

hm that sucks, I tested it on several computers =\ . You can download the files manually from http://www.assaultware.com/NoteCaddy.latest.zip

You just need to extract them to your c:\program files (x86)\notecaddy 2 folder

1.09 is the version. Start up usually takes me to just the new hands I have played, if I didn't have it running the last time I played. The last few times it started over with the entire process when I hit start.

There was a 1.09c that had this problem for a few hours but it was replaced by 1.09d that fixed the issue. I'm pretty sure it's fixed or I'd be receiving a ton of emails. I just tested it a few times and it's ok for me.

I downloaded this now and it says I am running 2.0.0.7, but it is running so slow. It took my about 12 hours to process 1 million hands, now it is a processing 100 hands per minute. I have about 3 million hands in my database.

i have rebooted and restarted the program several times. Also, everytime I restart the program it asks me if I want to update the new version.

This might be because multiple notecaddies ended up being open at the same time. Another user reported slow speeds and it ended up being because of that. 2.0.0.9 has been released and it now only allows one instance to be running.

I had an issue yesterday where my internet connection failed during the update (whilst NC was downloading a new version) after that the program crashed each time it was started.

In the end I had to reinstall.

I checked and only one note caddy open. What is the best way to download 2.0.0.9...the autoupdate thing doesn't work for me still. Should I download the latest zip verision again and just overwrite everything in the program file?

It is still updating at the rate of 100 hands per minute. At this rate they will be completed by March.

The zip file or the installer should both work fine for updating

I don't get an option to send an error report anymore, and the error thing is the same. It happens after 1 or 2 mins going through the colour coding thing, I don't do anything like click stop etc. When the error comes up the bar at the bottom showing the progress jumps to the end quickly and the error pops up at the same time. When I try to click start again it says there are no pending tasks currently and it won't let me. Then if I try and start it from the pending tasks at the top the same error thing happens after 1 or 2 mins of going through players on the database

please enable logging in file->settings

Run through the process you described then close NC. Zip the log file and email it to support@notecaddy.com

i downloaded 2.0.0.9 and it is still loading about 100hands per minute, also is there a way to compress the hands that it shows....it stretches across the whole screen and pretty much makes it unreadable.

I'm not sure how that could be compressed...

The next version is going to attempt to optimize how enumerated ranges are displayed though so hang in there

For now you may want to check out this definition pack made by a good player for cash games http://campapoker.com/2010/12/defini...notecaddy.html

The page is in Spanish but the definition output is English. He actually did a much better job than I did making definitions which doesn't surprise me given that he is a superior poker player

maybe have a predefined group of hands, like Skalnsky did, group 1-7 and with group 1 being the best and 7 being the worst?

Any ideas on why it has gotten so slow processing my hands and how to speed it up....it did the first 1,000,000 in about 12 hours and it is going to take like 20 days to do the next two million?
