Bug report:

Every time I hover over the HEM HUD note button to see the notes the HUD crashes if there are a lot of notes(notes window bigger than the screen) and I cant see the notes(blank note screen).
Another reason for the space saving suggestions in this thread...
If you could fix this problem in a beta before November it would be great cause thats quite a big issue that it prevents me from using NC for the player with a lot hands/notes.

Not sure if this qualifies as a bug report for NoteCaddy...

There's not really a simple fix for me to make the note output smaller. I am going to do it but it is going to take time since that's a pretty complicated process. One thing I've learned is that people still get pretty irritated about losing their data - even if it was from using a "beta" version

I set it up so that I'm a player type (entered my screenname). I'm basically trying to get notes on what people are doing against me. Example: CO raise (The only player type I select is me) and HERO (person note is being taken on) 3B on the button with the range I defined. When I start NoteCaddy, no notes are taken.

The process of setting up notes for how people act against you is way more complicated than it should be and in the next release it is going to be simplified.

I would suggest taking a hand where you think a note should be getting generated and putting it in the test environment and see what it says under the player who should be receiving the note. That will make it easier to see what's going on. You can always email the hand history and the definition to support@notecaddy.com and I will resolve the problem.

The next release of NoteCaddy is scheduled for november 7th although that could slide back a week

The note that created by NC make my previous note in wrong order.

example:
Let's say i have this note on 1 player,

Line 1 blablabla
Line 2 blablabla
Line 3 blablabla

After NC, that player note will change into something like this:

[PF] qiehqidoiuqhwuiheqwueh
[F] sdfsoifpofhpwieofpweo
[T] sfsofiowepifpweoifpeoif
[R] sfpowiepofewifpweoi
[M] Line 3 blablabla
[M] Line 1 blablabla

then I did reset to delete all note created by NC,
then it will become:

[M] Line 3 blablabla
[M] Line 1 blablabla
[M] Line 2 blablabla

now tell me how to get my old note back???

So you didn't actually lose your notes but just the order. Sorry but NoteCaddy currently doesn't have any ordering for your manual notes. I hadn't thought of it. I'll try to change that behavior in the near future but if your notes have already been reordered then I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done short of restoring them from a backup

I have 1.3 million hand database and NoteCaddy has been running for almost 24 hours; 200k hands left. Is this normal? I'm only using custom notes for preflop plays

It's normal but I would like to see it sped up. If you are using all 50 standard definitions then that does slow it down some. I have a strategy to speed it up but right now stability is the main issue. I add new features like the ability to take notes on how people play versus you and then I have to iron them out over the next couple of releases.

The software is still pretty new but I do have a plan that will see NoteCaddy change quite a bit by the end of next month.

I ended up having the create a new database, but now in the setting I get the following error: "FATAL: 3D000 "201" does not exist"

The name of my database is 2010(HEM) and 2010(PT3)

Great program.

It handled my Merge hands no problem, but I'm not getting any notes for my Bodog hands. Fwiw bodog made some software change that stopped the functionality of Bodog Hand Grabber a few weeks ago.

A Bodog update a month or so ago broke the hand grabbers -PT3's hand grabber was fixed to work with this update a couple of betas ago, and I don't think the hand history format changed.

The bodog hands I originally got looked like:

and the ones that I was sent today looked like:

So maybe my Bodog parser never worked properly before but I was looking for the "----..." lol

Yeah, my notes weren't legible any more so I just started over.

It happens when I go to select the database in settings.

Did you delete the original database? If notecaddy is looking for it but not finding it then that would generate an error. Is it crashing notecaddy though?

I deleted the original database. My current database is being displayed in NoteCaddy, but I keep getting that error when I try to save after clicking the checkbox by the database name

I tried everything I could think of and wasn't able to reproduce this. I did make a change that isolates the error handling on a per-database basis though so that may help. If you restart your NC it will auto-patch

I just upgraded to new version. I get a new error: "Length cannot be less than zero. Parameter name: length" I have no clue what this means.

I just tried this on my laptop and get this error too. Could the name of my database be causing it?
