Hi Sreti

Just to be sure I understand this exactly right, when scripting --

The Actions tab is for VILLAIN'S actions only.

The Previous Actions tab is for defining the key action or Color Read of ANOTHER PLAYER (NOT villain) before villain acts.

Thanks

testing some new definitions via your test environment, im finding good test hands in Holdem Manager but when i paste their hh from HM into NoteCaddy, NoteCaddy doesn't like their format (presumably HM doctors them in some way).

These are Full Tilt hands, is their an easy way to get hh from HM -> NC once i have identified good hands to test with?

Thanks Sreti

One more question for now, Im running NoteCaddy on a selected db of around 250k hands. After about an hour it's saying:

All hands processed. Notes added 4747. Waiting for new hands...

What does "Waiting for new hands" mean, the blue note box is still popping up at the bottom right of my monitor, does this mean that NoteCaddy is still taking notes or is this just for info?

Waiting for new hands means it wants you to play a session so it can take more notes. The popup doesn't really mean anything. It is just to advise you that a note was taken. You can disable it in file->settings if you're not playing. The popup has a delay and NoteCaddy takes notes much faster than the popup appears so that's why it keeps popping even after all notes have been taken.

What does the variable $cardrange indicate in NoteCaddy? I can't find it in the manual. How does it differ from $cards?

Yeah I need to update that document =\

$cardrange is the one you should definitely use. It will print things like {AA,KK} whereas $cards will only print one value per line

$cardrange also tells you how often a hand has come up, and the ordering is currently based on when the hands appeared.

So you might get something like:
{77 - 2, AKs, AA - 5, 76s, 88 - 2}

$cardrange is going to be improved for the next release. I am still ironing out some of the details but the random ordering will definitely be fixed

Shooting for Sep 19th e.g. this Sunday. It's going to be a BETA though which anyone can download the way that PT3/HEM do theirs.

Given that you are going to arrange $cardrange by frequency, you might also want to truncate the list at a fixed or user chosen number. That would keep the list from becoming so large that it forces the player notes to right justify and thereby cut off the beginning of other notes.

I'm having that problem on some very large hand number players.

I am definitely aware of this issue and will be trying different things including putting spaces at intervals to address the problem. I am very fortunate that both the PT3 and HEM teams have been accessible in working with me on things like this.

Just noticed this tool and am trying it out. Mainly for color coding. Any chance of adding some sort of winrate stat as well?

Thanks

Thanks!

Also, I keep finding my notes.xml file (Pokerstars) keeps getting deleted. Its quite frustrating as I have no idea what's causing it. Even the files in notes_backup get removed. Any idea?

I can't get it to replicate every time but its definitely to do with the adding notes process.

Notecaddy doesn't delete any files under any circumstances. Maybe you have some anti virus that is doing that?

Sorry for the questions but is there a way to color code the HEM HUD autorate icon as well?

The reason I ask this is because the HEM autorate rules are limited and don't include winrate (which you will hopefully add) and the most important one V/P ratio.

The only thing I can think of wrt the file deletion is maybe you're opening stars while the coding runs?

Currently notecaddy doesn't do color coding in the hem hud but its always possible for the future

I definitely do the color coding without stars running. Its when I run stars next and add the notes where it gets deleted.

No worries, I'm trying to find a solution to color code via the HEM HUD instead. Might have to write my own sql query if there are no existing tools. I'll still buy your product for the notes though. Very powerful and useful! cheers

Hi, I downloaded the trial version a few months ago but I didn't have .Net framework, didn't bother and just deleted notecaddy. Found this thread again, am interested in trying this out but my trial is expired now. I've never actually used it before. Help?
