[QUOTE=SretiCentV;20228132]Yeah this program is to make notes about how people play and it should work for rush - though I've been getting some bug reports on ftp hand histories that should be fixed today

"As far as the word "usually" goes, it's not quite there yet. However there is a feature on the release calendar that should be available on the 24th which will allow you to say calls (12/16) with 12 being the times called and 16 being the opportunities"

Is the # of opportunities now incorporated into the software?

Not there yet. I am still working through the pre-requisites. I am expecting to have it for August 1st

edit: that's the first time I missed a self-imposed deadline

Great, glad to hear that it will be soon, I will buy as soon as that is added.

Just to further clarify, what will opportunities mean? For example if we are tracking the number of times the villain raises with a strong draw....will the opportunities be defined as the number of total times that they have a strong draw?

Since you're referring to raising, it will mean whenever they have the strong draw and someone bet first. If it was checked to them, it wouldn't count as an opportunity.

However, if you are looking at any type of aggression (bet/raise), then yes any time they have the strong draw will count as an opportunity

That's weird. I think I tested with the hands you sent me iirc. Can you send me the error log?

After having used it for over a week I can safely say I love it. It's super-useful, great job man!

btw, think this might be helpful to others as well, I find it's very important to avoid crowding the note window with unnecesessarily marginal notes. I can see why it's even fun creating hundreds of cool scripts, but in the end the notes that are really gonna be helpful in-game are the ones you'll see marked as "Plays sets aggressively (14)", not the ones that go "b/f turn after having checked flop in 3bet oop (1)".

Keep it up!

Thank you dHazed.

There are definitely more features coming to help with the manageability issues. Here are a few:

-Minimum instances filters; so you can say something has to happen 5 times prior to appearing in your window
-Note ordering; so you can order by street or alphabetically

I won't rest till this app is truly great

While I did enjoy my trial of the program, I really think there need to more definitions created before I am persuaded to buy it. I'm too lazy to make my own (standard poker player ), but if there were like 30 more useful definitions it would be a solid buy for me most likely

has anyone made tourney specific definitions yet?

like limp/folds less than 12 BBs, or raise/folds less than 15BBs etc?

im just setting this up now, hope it works.

was thinking a check raises light, and 4 bets light are both definitions i would like. seems a bit complicated to make them though.

anyways, if it works for me, im def buying.

Feel free to request definitions over here. I am going to come out with a nice set of tutorials soon that will make the definitions scripting process very clear.

Yeah the key is insta-emailed if you use paypal. Also thank you for the feedback on the checkout process. I need to look into streamlining that a bit more apparently but hopefully I can do it without buying ten licenses to my own software

Also, I replied to your forum posts over at assaultware

when can we expect game type indication (hu) (6max) (fullring) and street structure to the notes?
NoteCaddy Quote
07-31-2010 , 08:19 AM
I'm actually working on the street structure right now and unless I have some type of emergency it will be tomorrow. It is going to look like this:

[PF]3 bets small suited connecters from the button(2/6)
[PF]punishes limpers light(5/5)
[F]plays draws aggressively(7/12)
....

As far as the game type indication, I'm not sure how you would want that to look. Can you give me an example?

just a simple (hu) (6m) at the end

thanks

Just add the text "[$gamesize]" to the end of your definition descriptions and it will the [hu], [6m], or [9m].

also:

Version 1.04
----------------------------------------------------------------------
-Added note opportunities. Notes will now be more reflective of how often a player could have acted a certain way.
-Added note grouping. Notes will now auto group by street or can be configured for any preference you have. Go to file->grouping for more details
-Added note thresholds. You can now specify that a note has to be taken x amount of times to appear. This can also be configured based on a player's sample size. So for example "limps weak kings" can be set not to show up unless it's been taken 10 times if a player has 1000 hands in your database.
-Added the ability to run notes against files on your hard drive. This is for players who remove files from their database but still want notes from the files. Players have to be in your database for notes to get taken.
-Added the ability to synchronize database notes with the PartyPoker client
-Added a "seek" button in the definition scripting tool. This will take any definition and search your database for a hand that meets the criteria. This is an easy way to make sure your definition works.

I put 60 hours (+45 hours at the day job) into this version this week so it's been a hell of a week. Any bug reports will be answered most promptly if they're posted to the notecaddy forums but I will check this thread frequently as well.

edit: All existing users please have a look at the definition booster pack at http://www.notecaddy.com/download.aspx which has 35 definitions, all optimized for 1.04
