I'm also on the same version of HM3 as you, but I'm not noticing the colors missing from the last 5 showdowns https://i.imgur.com/oZxWYso.png, or from the last 5 vpip https://i.imgur.com/RlJZcQM.png.

Can you try fully restarting HM3, by closing down the HM3 server from the taskbar, then starting it back up again to see if it resolves itself?

If the issue still remains, then please try resetting the NoteCaddy settings back to factory settings following these instructions:

Be aware that doing this will change your settings in NoteCaddy back to their default settings. To do this, close HM3 and the server. Navigate to:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Max Value Software\Holdem Manager\3.0\AppsData\NoteCaddy.

Delete these files (if you don't see some of them it's OK):

ActiveColorLayout.xml
ActiveNoteLayout.xml

default_ActiveColorLayout.xml
default_ActiveNoteLayout.xml

Start HM3, and go back into NoteCaddy. You can adjust your settings in NoteCaddy -> File -> Settings to your preferences again.

I answered you in the HEM forums. Simply turn off the feature in the NoteCaddy Settings:

NoteCaddy → File → Settings → Data Settings → uncheck 'Store temporary images on a RAM drive' → Save

The white text is a bug that popped up in the last update. It should be fixed soon.

Can we please get a fix to this asap? I'm sure it's much more complicated than it seems, but we're nearing a month now and it was perfect before the update. Now that we know it's a universal problem and not just myself, would hope for a quick fix. Thanks.

Actually there is a build that is going to be released shortly which has solved this issue. I imagine it will be released today, or within the next couple of days.

I used to have tons of notes and I unchecked 'Default Definitions' momentarily under my Manage Definition Packs. Now I keep trying to re-check it and re-run notes on my database and it repeatedly keeps unchecking Default Definitions (the other one that remains checked the whole time is MTT EDGE). It keeps asking me to do 2 pending tasks Color Code for Stars which i've done, closed stars, reopened stars. tried doing this several times through Notecaddy and no matter what it keeps unchecking Default Defitions (which I assume is why I no longer have any notes).

The only notes it's taking now are new ones for Allin Count and Total Hands. on the same player pool where i used to have tons and tons of notes. I use PT4 and PS.

Can you please help?

I can't seem to reproduce this issue you're having. If I uncheck Default Definitions, then they stay unchecked. If I do check it, the package installs, and if I look again it remains checked.

To solve your issue, can you please try clearing your NC settings to see if it fixes it? Here are instructions for that:

*Resetting PT4 NC Settings Back To Factory Defaults*
1. Close PT4 and navigate to: C:\Users\[WindowsUsername]\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data\AppsData\Tm90ZUNhZGR5.
2. Make a backup of the .xml files (copy/move them somewhere else on your pc).
3. Delete the .xml files from the directory in step 1.
4. Restart PT4, go into NoteCaddy and adjust your settings as you prefer again (File → Settings).
5. If you use customized Color Definitions, then import the ColorDefinitions.xml that you backed up from step 2, into NoteCaddy → Tools → Import Color Definitions.
6. Reset and reprocess the notes (File → Reset Notes).

Hello,
After upgrading to HEM3 I'm now trying to re-run notecaddy on the imported database.

I only want to add the scattergraphs, with no other definitions active, but it says I cannot start the process with 0 active definitions. My HEM2 database has 0 active definitions and it seems to have worked fine, however?

Does this mean I need to run it once with some definition active, and then inactivate those definitions and remove them? I can't remember how I did it last time sadly, and can't find instructions for caddyscatter specifically

Hello TianYuan,

Hmm that's a good question. You can add the caddyscatter to your HUD and then see if it's showing any scatter dots.

If they don't show, then I would just recommend to install the 'Default Definitions' from the 'Manage my Ultimate Packs' button in NC. Then you can just make inactive all of them except for one and reset/reprocess your notes.

After last NC update the coloring players feature goes super slow.

Anyone else having thisd issue? is there a way to fix it? it was working perfectly before updating.

Hi again. No i havent get HM3 yet, i have decided i wont until HM2 actually shows any issue due to a poker room´s change. I didnt expect to have it from a NC update.

Is there a way to downgrade to the last version of NC? currently it is 2.9.85.0

I tried what the assaultware website of the NC recommends but it didnt work.

I followed the "How to use an old version of NoteCaddy" guide and when entering the link it shows it not longer exists or is not available.

So i would like to just roll back to the very last version of NC before this 2.9.85.0 and ill stick to it since it was working just fine.

@nostrakhan Okay i rolled back to .83 but the slow colouring issue is still happening.

Something strange i noticed is that if now i check for updates it says it is up to date and doesnt show the .85 as available.

I guess the only option i have is trying the settings reset.

Ill let you know how it goes after this.

Well i made the whole settings reset process and after processing all my hands it still has the slow colouring issue. It does 1 or 2 players per second and i cant wait hours every day for this to be done.

Is there anything else i can try?

Is turbo hand grabber option (in Settings/Data Settings) removed entirely from NC now in 2021? Was possible to check/uncheck now its gone. Im assuming its not auto-integrated (using latest hem2 2021 beta + newest NC version).

reprocess speed slowed down tremendously in latest NC version. Is that done on purpose? Ive noticed that even dialog now offering to reset hands if any changes made is different than before.

Hi lancelott,

Turbo hand grabber doesn't exist in the newer versions anymore, but the speed is drastically faster in the latest versions of NoteCaddy. I'm not sure, but maybe turbo hand grabber is auto-enabled, or there is another method being used that is faster.

If you notice very slow speeds, then you need to reset your NC settings, which almost always solves that issue after you've updated NC.

I assume you are on HM2 since you referenced the turbo hand grabber. Here are instructions to reset your NC settings:
