If there's a note, it shows a little picture of a notepad.

I can't design a script for preflop actions only. When I clear all the actions for flop, turn and river, then save and reopen the script, all the actions boxes for flop, turn and river are checked.

If you add new note definitions, then yes you would need to re run the import process. However, it goes very fast like is shown on the video. On a late model computer, you can do about a million hands per hour which is several times faster than HEM/PT3 (NoteCaddy does a lot less work than they do)

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

I have a Ci7-920, 9GB RAM, HP Elite Desktop. I was running this and had to stop it so I could perform a remote support session for an HM customer. It had been running for over 30 minutes and had done about 125k of my 450k hand DB. When I hit 'Stop' the program crashed. It also crashed earlier when I first tried to go to the File menu options while it was working. I am about to try running it again, now that I dont have any other support sessions planned. I will let you know how the next try goes.

All the boxes being checked means anything could happen and it would still be valid. If you want preflop only, then all the check boxes for post flop should be checked.

NoteCaddy uses very little RAM so it's not about that - really it's about how many cores you have. Sorry about it crashing. I haven't been able to reproduce the error Was there any error message or anything?

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

It crashes every time I try to do anything during or after it 'runs'. I can repeat the crashes at will, anytime it is running. I just simply have to try and do anything with the File menu while it is working. If you have some type of logging or logs I would be glad to reproduce it and send you some files, a video, or we could do a teamviewer session sometime and you can watch it happen.

I started a new smaller DB and ran it again so it would finish in a reasonable time. I let it run all the way thru the DB and finish. When I tried closing the program (stop) to play poker it froze again. Anytime it freezes it just gets a 'not responding' message on the titlebar and goes white.

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

Thank you for your help Fozzy. I did a patch about an hour ago. Have you tried it since then?

The only thing I could get it to do was freeze - which is still terrible but I think/hope I have it fixed. Please let me know when you run it if it says it updated to version 0.11

Thanks again

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

Does it give you an error like invalid password or does it just not say anything then not show anything?

What version of PT3/HEM are you using? Your database schema may be out of date (or mine may be)

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

Can you re run your NoteCaddy and confirm that you update to version 0.111

Then go to the settings screen and tell me what it says under the big box "unusable databases found..."

Thank you

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

I made a patch that will hopefully detect your HEM databases now. If you re run your NoteCaddy, it should update automatically. When you get a chance let me know if it helped.

Thank you

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

Can't even open it with latest update. Also, if all the postflop boxes are checked doesn't that mean that any post flop action will trigger the note? I thought that all action boxes for postflop actions would have to be cleared for a note that only concerns preflop actions to work.

Re: New companion software for HEM/PT3 - NoteCaddy BETA

No, the way it works is valid until proven invalid. So if it passes your pre flop checks, anything can happen post flop and it will still be valid. So by having all check boxes checked, what you're saying is that it doesn't matter what happened post flop - which in your case is exactly what you're trying to say.

Can you confirm that you're on version 0.112?

I am on version .112 which downloaded automatically. When I click the continue button the program closes.

Yesterday, I designed a note script to take a note if a player 3 bet preflop with all hands except a few like AA-TT, AK and AQ. All the check boxes for postflop actions were left checked. However, the note began to trigger for all players who saw a flop. So I tried clearing all the postflop action and range boxes. But they wouldn't stay cleared and the same thing happened. Next, I tried clearing the heads up and multi-player boxes for flop, turn and river in the general area. This failed too. So I removed the script. I can email them to you if you like.

Yes, can you please email the .xml file for your script to support@notecaddy.com? You can find the scripts in C:\Program Files (x86)\NoteCaddy\Definitions, unless you changed the install dir during installation. Also, if you have a HH that you would like this to fire for (so I am sure I understand what you want it to do) please also send that. I appreciate it.

Can you try running a few hands through the Test environment and see what kind of justifications it gives for the note definitions not being applicable?

Program looks very interesting....I have tried to run it about 5 times and each time it gets through about 25k hands and just hangs. I have a fairly new computer, I do have about several million hands though.

When was the last time you tried to run it? I made a patch that was supposed to have fixed that but if it's still doing that I need to fix it better =\
