I still get the same crashes using the latest version. I was able to get thru an entire, small import of about 50k hands. It showed as Complete so I clicked the Stop button I believe and nothing happened. Then I clicked the Red X to close it and it went into 'Not Responding' like it does if I try to do anything to the window while it is working. I even tried to simply drag your window from monitor 1 to monitor 2 while it was working and it crashed.

I'm working hard on redoing the multithreading. I will have a patch available today. Sorry for the inconvenience but thanks for the info fozzy.

Glad to help. I think it's a great idea. I never took notes because I was too lazy. If I could just run this and get notes on their playing style, without having to write notes while multi-tabling, I think it would be pretty sweet.

0.113 has been published and I have my fingers crossed that this will not freeze during large imports. I tried 1.5M hands and it worked without issues.

Looks like you cured the crashing problem. I am able to move the window around while it is working without crashes.

It does seem to be processing the hands quite a bit slower than before for me. The hand counter going up seems a bit 'jerky' now where it used to smoothly keep scrolling/counting up at a steady pace. Once in while mine speeds up for a few seconds but most of the time it is 'jumping' up 8 hands at a time at it's slowest points.

*Edit. While writing this it was processing hands and last I looked it had done about 8 or 9k of the 69k hands in this database. I looked back now and it says finished, so the hand counter may not have been accurately showing how fast it was truly counting behind the scenes.

for the first hand:

ok, there's the problem. I don't support IPoker yet. Is this the original IPoker format or did HEM change it? I would be happy to add IPoker support. I just need someone to email me a session or so worth of hand histories.

for the second hand:

I did do a patch just now though (0.114) where it will show which line of a hand history caused the problem in the Test Environment. At your convenience, please re run NoteCaddy and try again.

Well, it ran for about 12 hours and completed about 15% of my hands and then hung my computer ( I have a huge database). Is there anyway that you can put in a date function, so you can say only to look at hands after X date?

Also, is there a definition of exactly what each of the notes means? Some are self explanatory and others I am not positive what they mean.

Can you PM me how many hands you have in your database and the specs of your computer? I do 1.6M hands in less than 2 hours on mine but it's a pretty new computer though.

I like the idea about filtering by date range. Right now I'm working on adding iPoker support but that XML format

I assume the number after the note is the number of times your script definition has met the criteria for a particular player? If this is the case, I think it would be more helpful to know this number and the % of times out of the times that he could have performed this action. For example if you have plays draws strongly and you have a player who has a draw 500 times and plays it strongly 10 times and you have another player who has a draw 10 times and plays strongly 9 times....it would show the first player 10-2% and second player 9-90%.

This would probably slow the import speed down, but would make the notes so much more relevant. Maybe give the option if you want to show %'s.

Can you run that pokerstars hand you pasted through the test environment and tell me the error? I enhanced the error reporting a little so maybe I can fix it on your non-english OS.

Also, 0.117 is out which now supports IPoker hand histories.

Can you tell me which site you're playing on? Also, is your OS in English? If you're playing Pokerstars, can you run a hand history through the test environment and see if it gives you errors? Otherwise I will update the error reporting for whatever site you're playing

Thank you for the feedback

I pasted a hand in the test environment. Error message read:

The given key was not present in the dictionary.
line: Dealt to MYPOKERSTARS NAME [Qs 3c]

Thank you for your help.

I'm going to try to make my program demand admin privileges before it opens so that's more obvious and people don't get confused when it fails.

You can run NoteCaddy with HEM/PT3 open and importing or with them closed... it doesn't actually matter at all. It goes straight to the database and doesn't care what else is happening.
