For those who are annoyed by the OCR technique used by Hold'em Manager... Try RUSHud: It's fast and accurate since it does not use text recognition techniques.

Currently it's in BETA/Trial phase and will be released in a few days.

Does it use scraping techniques to get the players names? Does it hook into the API of FTP in anyway shape or form? Does it comply with FTP's T&C with 3rd party software?

No, RUSHud is not using an API hooking technique. This is quite hard to do as Full Tilt does not use standard Windows API but it's own API (QT4 library for graphics/text actually).
The actual method remains a trademark secret for obvious reasons.

I think the following text from FTP's T&C best describes RUSHud:

Quote:
4. Programs that enhance the online poker experience without adding new functionality:

A number of programs have been created to make it easier to use the Full Tilt Poker game software. Examples include scripts that filter and sort games in the lobby, improve table layout and assist with seating. These are generally permitted, provided they do not access prohibited sources of information such as shared databases of hand histories or tournament results. Specific examples include:

Full Tilt Poker Shortcuts
Full Tilt Poker Custom Lobby
Full Tilt Poker Table Opener
Full Tilt Poker Planner
Full Tilt Poker Buddies

Downloaded and didn't work for me...

Loaded it up with HEM and FTP running, then it hung. Loaded it up again and now it keeps saying Trial Over in the Reg Key box...

Do you see a Machine ID in the registration box?
E-mail me this code to rushudd@gmail.com (or via Skype: rushudd@gmail.com) and you will receive a free registration key.
But only if you are willing to find out what the problem is. We might need to use TeamViewer for this.

Seems to work great for me!

RUSHud: Please contact advertising@twoplustwo.com to have your nick changed (it's not allowed to be the same as your product's name). They will change it for you and unban your account.

Isn't this commercial software?

Yeah, but we've been only moving threads which have gained some "traction" in the top-level forum first rather than just moving in every new thread about software / scripts (as soon as several people show interest and the thread gets going it'll be moved though).

this looks really cool

how much will it cost?

the only version available currently is limited to 100 hands? is that correct?

Would playing rush and normal tables and the same time be a problem please?

Is it xp compatible?

I tried using the program today but had no luck in getting it to work. It gives me the same error each time. I also tried toggling the 'Toggle Limit' button. Any idea how to fix this so I can try it out?

Waiting for Holdem Manager client..
Holdem Manager found
Postgres Config found
Error connecting to PostGres:
missing "=" after "Database" in connection info string

Succesfully Stopped RUSHud

Am I right in saying that this software is only compatible with one client version of FTP? i.e won't support the next release or beta builds

very interesting software. seems it works the same way as the pt3 hud, so i wonder now if it has the same probs with usage of cpu-time and memory.

i really would like to try this out, especially as i make mods for ftp and i´m not a fan of holdem manger since roy came up with this ocr crap.

i had a look at your page and it says 100 hands limitation for trial. may i suggest you extend the trial to somewhat like 10k, cause you cannot do a serious testing with 100 hands only. i would like to run it for 2-3 days with different setups when multitabling. 4 tables rush and 100 hands only i run out of the trial within less than 5 minutes.

i don´t know what others think about this software but as long as i can´t test it for some days or even some hours i´m not going to download and install it even if this would be the greatest thing since sliced bread.

It is more like the greatest thing since sliced pizza, so you'll probably like it.

Maybe you should sell your idea to HEM so they can implement it into their software!

That was actually me. We had someone looking at scraping the FTP memory but he didn't get anywhere. We used ocr as a backup. I am by no means a Rush pro but I've found it works well for me. PM me if you want me to do a teamviewer session.

can you release this already? lol sick of hems super slow hud :<
04-21-2010 , 12:09 PM
when are you going to release this? so if i download it tonight and run through my 1k hand trial i can't use it anymore until you officially release it? can't you just leave it open for beta until the official release is ready?
04-21-2010 , 06:39 PM
hope the bug where rushud crashed ftp every time i opened it, after todays update, was fixed
04-26-2010 , 02:07 PM
Dude, if you only get 1k hands, and no release, - how are the updates helpful?
