New Software: PokerEV (Tracker + Coming HUD) New Software: PokerEV (Tracker + Coming HUD)

I am very exited for this program and I am definitely getting this instead of the new HM or PT. I don't recall anyone asking this question so forgive if it's been answered before but will you be accepting payments through sites such as full tilt and ipoker or will you only be accepting paypal and neteller?

This is great to hear Phil. I was almost sold for HM, but like you said its current state is a bit premature for launch imo. I'm waiting eagerly to check out your program.

what will the trial version be like? hand limit, time limit...?
agreed on the premature release of HM by the way.

Tracker release: Wednesday, January 30th.
HUD release: Friday, February 8th.

Intial support is limited to Party, Stars and Full Tilt, with Everest, iPoker and Ultimate Bet added in the first week after release. There is already support for these sites, but it needs broader private testing which I'll ask for on the first release.

Expect some bugs in the first few days, which will be fixed very quickly.
ongame have more player than Everest+iPoker+Ultimate Bet !!!
and no support.....

From what I understand sites don't like excessive transfersr will be available on request only.

No hand limits. For beta there'll be a one month timeout, with an annoying popup after the first week only to ensure people download the initial bug fixes and updates. I'm not going to say exactly what plans are after the for-sale version is available, but I believe in a generous business model and there'll be plenty of opportunity to compare for free with the release versions of other programs.

These will be added very soon after as well. As I mentioned earlier the parsing and automated testing system is rules based and very extensible - adding reliable support is just a matter of getting enough hand histories to cover every game type, situation and HH bug, which means a lot of histories. Once people see what the program is like I'm going put out requests for hand histories for various sites and you should see support for Prima, Ongame and Bodog soon after the other three sites.

Good work, Phil. Just focus on delivering a quality product with only minor bugs, and people will flock to you.

I havent read through all these posts but followed quite a bit and am wondering the following:

Is PokerEV particularly useful for Limit Hold'em players? I have difficulty interpreting all the results for LHE, like how are Sklansky bucks exactly calculated in the limit hold'em case? (all hands that go to showdown? is it also calculated on earlier streets? Only on river decisions?).

I just purchased a license for HM, because I really liked what I saw (especially the extensive filtering options). If someone can convince me PokerEV can be particularly useful for Limit HOldem as well, I will certainly buy it. Same with PT3.

Download the free beta and check it out. I think you only get equity data if it goes to showdown because that's the only time you know your opponent's cards. And the program does tell you equity on all streets and makes a nice graph taking equity into account.

if you're looking to post a hand on a forum, is there anyway to make a button in the realplayer "post hand" and it will automagically extract stats on the players and convert it to UBB for these forums?

You are right but he also wrote the following:

Furthermore I'm very impatient and since pokerEV tracker is my personal favorit compared to HM and PT3 I can't wait to try it out.

Has anyone written a kind of users guides so people like me can figure out WTF we're looking at?

It will be ready the night of the 30th.

Go play poker or something.

Just like to ask for Prima support once again. Thanks.
01-30-2008 , 03:32 PM
How much is this going to cost?

<edit> This is off the pokerev forum: Depending on features, anywhere from $20 to $35. But it will be greatly improved compared to what you see now. The current version is a long way from what I'd be happy selling.

Is the tracker going to cost extra? If yes, how much?
01-30-2008 , 03:32 PM
Is it the 30th already?

PokerEV isn't quite ready for wide release and I'm postponing it a bit longer instead of releasing a program with known bugs.

For those waiting, I'm taking on about 100 private testers. If you're interested, send a PM. Those I've talked to before don't need to resend, you'll get a copy. There'll be two rounds of testing with about 20 in the first round. You'll also get first look at the HUD next week.

I haven't decided yet, but it'll be competitive and includes Omaha & Omaha Hi/Lo for free. There won't be recurring charges.

I apologize for missing the date. It's very close to release and I think the reliability and rapid updates made possible by a well tested program will be worth the delay.
