We would like to also suggest to add your screen name to your GPS account. This will act as an extra security layer. If you ever get a text message that says you have just logged on, you'll then be forewarned that someone is on your account(pokersite) in minutes.

I like the looks of this, but a few Q's:

1. Can you give an approx timeline as to when (and in what order) you'll be adding other sites? This project has been up and running 7 weeks now, but it appears you still only have Stars / FTP...

2. How often do your servers scan the available tables? In other words, how long after player XYZ sits down will I get an email about it?

3. I see that backing for this project has come from several high-stakes cash game players...is there any reason why they're not simply going to poach the buddy lists people enter for their own purposes and chase our fish? I mean, there's really nothing to stop you from doing that, I know, but it's still...well, I don't know the right word...sleazy / annoying.

1. We have focused on adding new features (aim alerts, notes, etc), and then we will focus on adding new sites. The next site we will do is Titan poker which should be a month or so.

2. 1 min max to receive an alert

3. All the GPS players associated with this are more then capable to find their own favorite opponents, and they 100% will not steal any players from other peoples lists.

OK, thanks for replies. I won't really be interested until you add more sites because I rarely play on either FTP or Stars...but please keep me updated when you do because I actually have a good deal of experience with this type of service (Sixth Sense used to provide something similar), and I'll have a lot of good suggestions for you re: functionality, etc.

Many people have requested for the GPS Pros Buddy List to be removed since it takes up space on the alert list page. You now have the capability to remove the buddy list completely or certain pros from the GPS buddy list.

how much is it? yearly fee,monthly fee,or one thime?

Let me know, why i need SMS, Email or IM alerts? When i drive my car and receive SMS I should start play immediately? If i not near with my computer i do not need sms and ets. But if i near computer, SmartBuddy will notify me about my buddies.

The alerts are so you know when your favorite player, opponent, or even friend just sat down on a poker site. The different type of alerts help many people. If you are sleeping or just out and about use sms/email. If you are at your computer you can use the AIM IMs. You also have the capability to turn whatever you like on or off by using the "bulk actions" feature we created. You don't even have to use any of the alerts if you wish. You can just use the playergps buddy list to see who is on and the "now playing" page shows the tables where the players are at. Our site is much different than smart buddy. Please give it a try, you will be pleased. Thanks again for the questions!

As a former satisfied user of playerstalker I have now moved to the newly merged site that is `PlayerGPS'.
I thought I would give a quick review.
The upgraded site is very user friendly and straightforward to use and I have found support quick to respond and very efficient.

Three main pages encompass pretty much everything.
1) Account settings - Set up your account and give details on how to enable alerts through any or all of AIM/SKYPE/MSN/SMS.
2) Alert List - Simply enter a players name from a poker site and click on the alerts you want whenever he sits down to play. It could not be simpler.
3) Now Playing - Gives details of where players on your alert list are playing. These are updated every few minutes and include invaluable information like their stack sizes and how long ago a player at any given table was found.

I was expecting a few hiccups on the first few days but I am receiving
immediate alerts whenever one of the players on my `alert list' sits down at a table via skype and SMS. I play on the 4 major poker platforms and all are working seamlessly.

In my experience playergps support is as good as any I have experienced in 6 years playing poker and using all sorts of software. I had a small issue with connecting my skype a/c with playergps to enable alerts. I was contacted swiftly by playergps support who walked me through the process quickly.
I also have a few ideas on how some of the information on playergps can be better displayed and possible improvements for the future. When I contacted them they seemed genuinely interested in any potential new ideas and stressed they will be looking to improve the product going forward.

With cash games getting tougher all the time expert game selection is the key to increased profitability and PlayerGPS has enabled that for me.

Alerts via skype may stop working if you do not add "PlayerGPS.com". In order to receive uninterrupted service please add "PlayerGPS.com" to your skype contact list.

I honestly didn't think the product was going to work this well after the merge, but it now works almost perfect since I have been using it this past wk. When will you guys be putting up Ongame, or what is the time frame?

Just signed up an account, looks like a pretty good service I will likely subscribe once my 10 days run out (balllllla level obvv). One quick question, how can i remove the useless default categories like family, friends, railtard list etc, so the only ones shown are my own custom categories?

hmm... i tested out how long it takes after someone signs in for any notification to come. after my friend posted his first blind (at high stakes on stars), it took 1min 20s for the msn notification to come and 2min 20s for the text message. A rival program (whos name i wont mention cause the purpose of this post is not advertising) only took 40 seconds to notify. Said rival program is also much much cheaper. For the expensive monthly subscription i was expecting literally INSTANT notification as soon as a player sits, as the website claims. Quite disappointing. good thing there's a trial period so i didnt have to pay to find this out =[

a) Please fix the notes function so that if I click away from my internet browser it does not delete the notes I have just written/half written ( While I try to find out PTR/notes from poker client on the guy) when I come back to the window

b) Please link 'playing now' page in IM's not the home page
