New software: ICMIZER - advanced online icm calculator (Windows & Mac) New software: ICMIZER - advanced online icm calculator (Windows & Mac)

Its not a downloadable program rh300487.

Its a "software as a service" style program available from browser.

Ben Roberts kindly prepared a user friendly article describing his model in more detail and presented some examples with ICMIZER where we can clearly see the difference of two models.

It can be found here http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en...rts-icm-model/

We would really like to hear some comments from experienced players. Do you think the advice is intuitively sound? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Look great, bummer its in silverlight though.
03-12-2012 , 08:51 AM
What concerns you with silverlight?

Its basically a secure/safe windows application that is available through browser. It fully uses power of your PC to allows really powerful user interface unlike javascript, and allows to update software seamlessly.

It also runs on BOTH Mac and PC, unlike other ICM software.

Lets say i just dont like installing random microsoft plugins, especially on my mac. Im sure it work great and all, its just that i prefer standalone programms. Will probably give it a try in a (windows) VM.
03-12-2012 , 11:17 AM
Wow interesting. Some Poker software for Mac you would be ok with, but a huge super tested plugin by Microsoft -not so much.

Thanks for information, I guess everyone has his tastes etc. It is close to impossible to create a program targeting Mac specifically when 95% audience uses Windows. So silverlight is a resque here, not a bummer.

Please let me raphrase that initial comment since it seem like it came across as if it would not apprechiate your work and your decission to make it crossplatform:

Bummer for me that its silverlight, since i dont trust microsoft plugins and will not install it outside a virtual machine. Thanks for doing the work anyway, im sure it will help alot of people.

I have prepared a new article where I compare results of ICMIZER and Wizard.

My first article got some interest, but also a lot of critique due to unrealistic situations etc.

I learned my lesson and in this article I compare bread and butter spots for 6/9 max sngs, which every player faces daily.

Have a good read : http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en...on-comparison/

Hey guys, great news for most users of ICMIZER I guess.

It is now possible to run ICMIZER out of browser.

Just click download button, and youll have it installed on your PC.

read more details about downloading and installing icmizer on your PC

Also session timeout which was causing that "Inactive session" message popup is increased to 6 hours from 1 hour so shoulnd't happen during single day I guess anymore.

Also PartyPoker hand histories should be working fine now. If not, please send me an email from contacts session on my site.

Another update:

Added support for analyzing spots where two players are already all-in before hero, and hero is thinking about overcalling. Now all 3 way scenarios are supported!

A sample hand can be found here: www.pokericmcalculator.com/icmizer/#iqJI

hi, I am new to ICMIZER. Can someone explain why ICM$EV and ICM%EV includes the pushing range of other players, while ChipcEV only considers the calling range of other player? Appreciated.
04-05-2012 , 10:59 AM
Hey.

Because in chip ev model when you fold your equity cannot change regardless of other players action. Its just defined by ratio of (your chips)/(total chips).

So you dont need to feel those ranges, that help to calculate ICM fold equity, when ICM model is used.

I registered icmizer and saved my preferred options, but sometimes when i restart browser everything sets to default again, is it only on Google Chrome version?
04-19-2012 , 09:29 PM
Could you please be more specific with this problem. I am not reported this issue so it has to be something rather special so I need more detail.
04-20-2012 , 04:46 AM
i am windows 7 user using google chrome, when i restart my computer the saved option change back to default, the same as for the downloaded version of ICMIZER. Wonder if I do something wrong in the process!?
04-20-2012 , 10:01 AM
I sent you a private message so we dont derail this thread too much. Please reply me there.
04-24-2012 , 05:50 PM
OK this was a real issue, default settings were being reset as a mistake. Should not go away anymore now, thanks for letting me know about it riverofjustice.

Hey Q

I play on merge (carbon) and am using PT3, any way I can quickly import hands into ICMIZER?
04-25-2012 , 08:16 PM
Software Suggestion,

the ability to remove blind structures from the drop down bar.

I've added quite a few blind structures, but I would like to delete a lot of the default ones.
04-26-2012 , 11:32 AM
no worries, keep up the good work
04-26-2012 , 12:59 PM
Hey Pokernubz, this is already supported.

Just go to options and create a new profile from scratch.
http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/icmizer/#options

After creating a profile and assigning desired blinds/payouts just set this profile as default in default settings ( from profile dropdown and save options).

You wont see default blind structures anymore!

This article goes into this in detail : http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en...ures-creation/

astrobeaver I believe Merge format is supported, if hands look like this they are imported.

If your hands aren't in this format - lets just say that supporting as many formats as possible is going to a priority soon!

riverofjustice thanks, will do

Pretty excited to announce that ICMIZER is now officially released!

Full article can be found here: http://www.pokericmcalculator.com/en...ally-released/

What’s new in this version?

Range editor control which already was very good becomes even better now. You can now save ranges which you use often for future use. (IIRC genhersuggested this) They are displayed in the right part of Range Editor control. Just click on a saved range and it will immediately set current range to saved range value. Using this new feature should be pretty easy, have a look at the screenshot.

Here (1) represents palette of saved ranges. On the screenshots there are 5 saved ranges available to choose from, but you have basically as many as you want. Ranges that you save are added to this palette.

In order to save a range you need to enter range that is not present on palette, and then hit (2) Save Range button.

You use (3) Delete button to remove saved ranges. Just select a range on palette and hit delete button, and it’s gone.

Details popup has also been reworked. You can now check a breakdown of any calculation, and it will be presented in much more user friendly manner. Here is sample screenshot of updated details window.

I hope you guys will enjoy it!

Please close thread since its not free software anymore.
05-15-2012 , 08:26 AM
Please enable us name the range that we save not just x%.
Also, when Hero range is large (say 60%+) the font sizes in the results page becomes so small that I can barely see it, please make it bigger.
05-15-2012 , 08:44 AM
Will edit results page asap, ill also add [copy] button so you can copy result range.

As for naming ranges, yeah sounds good. Had this suggested already. Will do that but no estimate here yet.

Lets continue this suggestion/support through support email available on official site, im afraid 2+2 doesnt like me being here in free software forum anymore. Thead is supposed to be closed.

why the monthly fee and not a one time fee?
